Fair play Buvey, I’ve never managed to watch a 45 minute video in whole when it’s been uploaded for two minutes 😂. Also, you, McKola and Rory are little snakes
@Dragon Ball fans can't read Where you from because you clueless UEFA return 80 percent of there profits back to football do you know that each UEFA member state get payment from UEFA each year yeah they return mulions back to football
Brilliant interview. The overlap is by far the best out there for this kind of thing in football a great mix of hard hitting interviews and fun stuff. Keep up the good work guys and keep them coming
Fantastic interview Gary and great to see how Cefrin now feels after nearly 2 years since the launch of the ESL, these interviews need to get coming, brilliant!
@@jamesmcqe9287 Yeah, Ceferin even mentions it in the interview at about 28 mins, talking about agreeing with the "ECA to change the format" (meaning the UCL format) - the ECA is the top european clubs who pressure UEFA into certain things.
And he was full of bullshit during that segment. Ofcourse UEFA holds all the cards. He even said around the 40 minute mark that national competitions are where clubs and the UEFA get their most money out of and that is why the UEFA threatened immediately to ban the "SL-clubs" from their respective national competitions and then the smaller teams would get paid more that's why small teams were relying on their fans to riot as much as possible. If I would've been one the owner of those 12 SL-teams I would have called his bluff and let people watch Champions League finals like Cadiz - Toulouse. The interest of the people would wane very quickly, I'm sure. 📃
What I found interesting is that Gary seemed to be trying to get him to commit to sorting out multi-club ownership and do so in a way that prevents owners having multiple clubs but actually, Ceferin seemed to be taking the view that any rule changes were probably going to be in favour of multi-club-ownership rather than against it.
Great interview, a very knowledgeable man and one who recognises Neville's influence in English football and how valuable he will be in fight against ESL. Hard to disagree with anything Ceferin said.
Wow what an amazing interview Gary this channel and content is world class. Aleksander Čeferin has gone up in my estimation massively, he seems he has football best interest first and foremost. F*ck the super league!
One of the best Overlap episodes so far. Gary is doing a fantastic job and that interview didn't just show how great Gary is doing. But also the human side of the head of UEFA. It's kinda crazy to think how Aleksander gets so much stick off clubs. He's doing a great job and you can see that football is what drives him. Not money or power. #Fantastic
Great interview I like this person Aleksander very level headed open, honest, down to earth, good insight to the workings of football heads and the sharks or dolphins 😂
He's right. Making sure it doesn't happen again is the most important thing. That's why those who are responsible as outlined in the report must face serious consequences
Well done Gary this was a great interview. Nice to actually hear from the man at the top of European Football. Liked the fact that he didn't dodge tricky questions .... He obviously wears his heart on his sleeve and answered more like a fan than the main man of UEFA. Keep the content coming you filthy RAG 😜 CTID
Great interview this... Confirmed it was United and Liverpool pushing for Super League from an English perspective. City and Chelsea offered to be UEFA's "clubs on the inside" and the first to pull out. Surely worse than any FFP. United and Liverpool should be relegated and or deducted points for trying to ruin the FA and UEFA.
I’m glad you guys cut out the last part “Riiiight, let’s get back to the interview” from the middle Skybet section. It sounded so fake, I would notice it every single time. 😂
Ceferin just announced that UEFA is considering allowing clubs with the same owners to participate in the Champions League. So you could have Manchester City + all of the satellite clubs bought by City Football Group, or Manchester United + PSG if Qatar takes over the former. But then he has the cheek to talk about "sharks", even though he is just another one of them alongside Infantino and the Super League promoters.
😂😂😂 We shouldn't just say no to multi-club ownership but we have to see what rules we set because the rules have to be strict." That’s what he said so just know they are about to change something where state sponsors don’t have two clubs just watch
A fantastic interview from Neville with really open and honest answers from Cerefin!!. It's really encouraging to see that UEFA is in such great hands.
Now, I’ve not watched this yet but if Gary doesn’t point out UEFA’s own monopoly on European football, give a minuscule percentage of their tournaments profits to the clubs involved and how they gauge fans and give most of the tickets of big finals to sponsors when they bash the Super League he will not have done a good job in being impartial
Not one reacted to players who complained about glorified Nations league created by UEFA in congested fixture list. Everyone is a Shark, only if it meets your agenda
This man and his organisation owes European fans a hell of a lot, we all got behind UEFA and stood against the Super League. Had we not done that his organisation would have been destroyed. Going forward UEFA need to reward that loyalty or it may not be there next time an event like the Super League rears it's head.
Neville is the kind of person who would talk of Jimmy Saville as a good guy if he was still alive. Maybe even interview him. The dude has got absolutely moral compass - which is fine, but then he doesn't admit that dishonesty either.
Football integrity is driven down the pecking order every time a new billionaire, who has no interest in football, buys a club. Venture capitalists very rarely have the true worth of the club at their hearts. It's about the football community, the fair priced tickets for fans, improving the area around the stadiums, and often those things are overlooked.
Everybody has some much to say about Manchester City and their owners but if you look at how the east side of Manchester has been completely redeveloped, it’s night and day. The tickets aren’t ridiculously expensive when in comparison to other clubs and how much they’ve spent too. And they’ve even invested a significant amount in the women’s game and youth setups too. Overall it’s a well run club but unfortunately people don’t like to hear that because they’ve upset the applecart.
He completely misunderstood/swerved the FFP question. Garys point is valid. it's not about English clubs its about every club being restricted and the big clubs being protected by their big revenues making the same clubs being in the cl every year
Great to see this kind of interview, great to see Gary talking to someone this influential in european football
I can’t read a comment of yours anymore without trying to figure out where the sarcasm is 😂
You haven't even watched it yet ya tool
@k_robbomufc944 honestly, haha. Uploaded a 45 minute video 32 mins ago, and after 2 mins he's said that 😂 as fraudulent as Man City's revenue
shush bruv 😂

Props to Gary, excellent interview & nice to see the human side of UEFA.
UEFA works in terms of how much money they have
He was a terrible interviewer

Nah it was trash
Who else does stuff like this for football?
His comments about his mother was very touching
Fair play to Ceferin for doing this interview.
Best overlap episode todate. Thank you so much Gary. An amazing interview. and what a character Aleksander is!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Ifham!

facinating interview loved it 👍
Keep the guest and episodes flowing Gary this channel is the best.
Great to have you as a subscriber Ramzino 👏
Excellent interview and content. You keep raising the bar Gary, keep it up, it's always great.
Amazing honest. Fair play for naming clubs the way he did.
Worth noting that it was the clubs who voted for the expanded Champions League, it wasn't imposed on them by UEFA.
Really? I never knew this, very good info

This was a great interview! Fully engaged the whole time, nice to see someone who seems to care about the game.
I've always been intrigued by this man especially cause of how he responded to the Super league. Great interview!

I didnt expect Aleksander to be as honest as he was, good to know hes in charge of uefa now compared to the last regime, brilliant interview👍
I trust UEFA more than I do FIFA
He is super transparent, decent bloke.
Excellent Episode of the Overlap. My most favourite to date. This is the interview content that has been solely missed. Keep up the good work.
Probably one of my favourite vids from The Overlap
Ceferin: "...but I won't say which two clubs."
Neville: "Were they City and Chelsea?"
Ceferin: "Yes."

He's as much of a good guy as Margaret Thatcher and George W. Bush. Whom Neville would have been delighted to interview, no doubt.

They redistribute 97% of their revenue back to the clubs. You should have a watch... lol

@mwc1988 however... the issue with city is them lying about their revenue to fund their squad, meaning they've cheated to win what they've won.
