ManU hope that it was an aberration and not a collapse, but take it from me that they lost the ability to play football in the 2nd half and Liverpool scored 7 from 8 shots on target - just ruthless. As Gary Neville rightly said, Anfield has a deserved reputation for humbling the greatest teams and that's true but ManU capitulated after that second goal and had a captain who could not and did not lead on the pitch. I think it's important to remember that this is basically the same group of players that got pumped by the likes of Brentford and Brighton over the past two seasons, along with some other horrendous results. They're clearly a talented bunch of players but they have a weird and brittle mentality.
They been overperforming there XG in games but been giving alot away too as you rightly say. It will even out. They will dry up on scoring and you'll see 1-0 wins over United by smaller teams
Neville thinks thus is a one off. Liverpool stuffed United twice last year, 5 - 0 & 4 - 0 if memory serves me right. The one off was United beating us 2 - 1 at Old Trafford.
I agree I don't think it will change results going forward and it was just a one off. They wanted to win and probably expected to win soo much that those 2 early second half goals just destroyed them and deflated them like no other game and they all lost their heads.
Not a Liverpool fan but for the first time since Salah/Firmino/Mane,I saw a threatening and powerful Front 3 and then they will assert themselves,as before.

Liverpool werent back. They never went away. They just had a huge injury crisis, a resulting decline in results, a subsequent crisis of confidence, and extremely high level competitors around them. A season prior they went within two 90 minute games of winning the quadruple. As we speak now, Liverpool are undefeated in the Premier League in 15 matches... the longest running undefeated streak of all teams in the league. And not to do that will only hurt the club.
These defeats can happen! To Manchester United. We took 6 against city lost 4-0/5-0 to Liverpool last season. When do we ever score 5,6,7 against Liverpool or city or Chelsea? If we beat them it’s mostly 1-0 or 2-1. Only we get stuffed like that.
Can we remember that united best 11 has fred, anthony, dalot and weghorst in. Also the whole back 4 was worse than ANY SINGLE maguire performance i have ever ever witnessed. Talk about ironic
I agree with Gary that it's a freak performance because of what we've seen from United so far this season. I'm not concerned as United fan that this will derail the season because we've already seen ETH lift the team after heavy defeats. Top 4 was always the priority this season, the Cup a bonus, it was others that were talking about us being Title Contenders, we never were. This squad clearly isn't good enough for that and ETH needs to be supported in the coming Transfers window if he is to change that.
Liverpool had a XG of 2.5 for a reason. Everything that could go wrong went wrong in that 2nd half. Was a absolute shambles of a Half deflections landing perfectly at Liverpools players feets for 3 goals. Misplaced passes from United. Even Firmino coming on and scoring straight away. Just everything that could go wrong went wrong and then some.
I’m a Man City fan and was at old Trafford when they battered us 5-0. I think Kanchelskis scored a hat trick that day. It’s horrible losing to your main rival, especially heavily, because you’ve given them moments that they cherish and talk about for the rest of their lives. Memories that they can use to haunt you with. But loving and supporting your club is most important when your club is at its lowest point. Gary start of second half "I don't think utd will lose" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jamie’s facial expressions while Gary was on the mic is pure SEVENTH HEAVEN!

I think it's important to remember that this is basically the same group of players that got pumped by the likes of Brentford and Brighton over the past two seasons, along with some other horrendous results. They're clearly a talented bunch of players but they have a weird and brittle mentality.
Brentford and Brighton are no mugs
Villa beat them 3 -1 in November and we never beat united
I’m sorry but they are not a talented bunch the majority of those players need to go. My local pub team could beat them easily.
@@stevebrice2279he didn't say they were. He said they had a brittle mentality. They do
Utd have been conceding a lot of chances against Leicester and West Ham and weren’t punished so it’s no surprise what happened.
They been overperforming there XG in games but been giving alot away too as you rightly say. It will even out. They will dry up on scoring and you'll see 1-0 wins over United by smaller teams
I like the part where he asks Jamie about Liverpool and Neville jumps in to change the topic back to united
Lok to be fair as a Liverpool fan I'm finding it way more entertaining when they talk about united 😆
Neville thinks thus is a one off. Liverpool stuffed United twice last year, 5 - 0 & 4 - 0 if memory serves me right. The one off was United beating us 2 - 1 at Old Trafford.
Fully deserved for laughing at Souness
Martin Tyler is the perfect mediator. He always says the right things and keeps the conversation going. Legend.
@@ExitStrategy1609 I'd keep him on liverpool games but i agree he loves Man Utd.
Calling this a blip when he knows they play Southampton next in the PL. 🤔
I agree I don't think it will change results going forward and it was just a one off. They wanted to win and probably expected to win soo much that those 2 early second half goals just destroyed them and deflated them like no other game and they all lost their heads.
One off? 7-0? Haha yeah right Erik seven Hag
Not a Liverpool fan but for the first time since Salah/Firmino/Mane,I saw a threatening and powerful Front 3 and then they will assert themselves,as before.
I attended my first ever Premiership game at this game. I'm a United fan & was with my brother & cousin (both Liverpool fans) in the Anfield Rd end so I was on my best behaviour. An unforgettable experience. I sank a few pints to try to forget that second half!
Are you a Liverpool fan now or what
The video we’ve all been refreshing RUclips on since the game finished

Been waiting for this ❤❤🎉
A beautiful day for football 🤠
Carra just grinning lol
Long may results like this continue for utd! Miss the days of last season where they’d be hammered every week and Neville would be disheartened
Will Gary to an Overlap special on this loss?
Form is temporary they say but class is permanent. United got carried away a bit
Thank you Liverpool for making my weekend.

Usually this is more than half an hour long but obviously they got pumped 😂😂

Liverpool werent back. They never went away. They just had a huge injury crisis, a resulting decline in results, a subsequent crisis of confidence, and extremely high level competitors around them. A season prior they went within two 90 minute games of winning the quadruple. As we speak now, Liverpool are undefeated in the Premier League in 15 matches... the longest running undefeated streak of all teams in the league. People who thought this is/was a poor team now... dont know football.
this thread is not going away. 7-0 will always be remembered. 🤣🤣🤣
U can see the tears coming down Gary’s face 🤣🤣
Same tear Carragher had when Madrid murdered Liverpool a few weeks ago!

@@clayx39 In front of The Kop. Bit different when they haven't got that crowd with them. WITH The Kop 69 Home Games unbeaten and then another great run around those years. WITHOUT Van Dyck and THe Kop they suddenly lost at home and again and again and again and again and again. A club record 6 successive Home defeats during Covid.. The odds of that being a co-incidence are 6/75 x 5/74 x 4/73 x 3/72(1/24) x 2/71 x 70 about 210 MILLION TO ONE...
Love seeing are lad Jamie keep smirking behind Gary now an then my lfc were red red hot, come on lads keep it going now right till the end of the season 7 0 I loved every second of it and the replays I keep watching haha YNWA
Gary said it's just a blip 7-0 is more than a blip and said three years a go how good liverpool were but last year they nearly won everything but I also think liverpool have suffered a bit of burnout is the reason for this year with injuries any team would be the same.
and it took a long time to get over mane leaving
@@anthonyabdorab yes any team would miss someone like Mane that's why I think when a player gets near to the end there of contract we should look to replace them just in case they decide to leave and that cause's that to happen that's when FSG should back Klopp with the money. And not to do that will only hurt the club.
Where’s the famous Gary Neville podcast this weekend? No United win no podcast

Gary's face is a picture! 😃
The difference in their emotions is hilarious
Carra sat there smiling is hilarious
Only Gary Neville could say “I thought United were the better team”…….on what planet exactly is he on!!!?
I’ve been waiting for this!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE HOLD THAT GARY ABOUT MAN UNITED TITLE RACE 😂
We've all been waiting for this
ETH thought 7 up was a soft drink till he experienced Anfield.
Exactly. It was a freak 2nd half. And United were ahead on xg at half time.
Except the ref could have dished out two reds, but spared your blushes and keeps players available for the next few games.
@@mattwilliamson6628 True
Xg is a meaningless stat. Absolutely meaningless.
Any fan can be a fair weather fan, and god knows there’s plenty of them on social media. It’s about supporting and backing your club when they need you the most
Very well said.
Especially cos they suk
How are united at their lowest point ? They've won the most games in Europe. In all competitions and we've won 1 trophy. Liverpool weren't that great united made basic mistakes. Poor decision making and losing the ball in key positions
And they suk
@@nicodavies1437 he means the feeling today will feel like Uniteds lowest point ... It's a feeling. ..
Back to normal away at Bournemouth?
The first half Man Utd were the better team - What was he watching - Did he get confused with the colours of the shirt , Man Utd played well for 10 mins and thats me being generous
Liverpool played well for the first 20 mins, after that utd had 3 great chances and a disallowed goal, stats proved this too
I was waiting for JR to start shouting, ‘Ba Gawd, he’d dead. Show some mercy for God’s sake!’
