Galaxy s10e user here: I never had it overheat, ever. And I own the Exynos variant witch is suppoused to run hotter. (from the tests) Yeah it gets hot while gaming, but doing anything else on it, gets warm at worst. And yes I do spend a lot of time on my phone. The fact that it is getting no more updates really isn't a big deal, unless you are a dummy that presses every link that gets presented to you, in witch case no update would save you, you have nothing to worry about. I know people still using anything from a galaxy S7 to a galaxy S3 and in some countries people don't even have choice but to use old devices. The battery is junk, I agree. Theese are 5 year old phones, and the battery wasn't even that big when it was new. Both cameras are perfectly fine on my phone. The blur you see might be because of dust getting in the phone due to the poor repair job? I have seen that happen. s10e is a great phone and if you like the form factor and find it for a good deal absolutely grab it. Just expect the battery life not to be great. 😍
i love the phone . i can't yap enough about how good and beautiful it is. thnx for yapping for me . i have the snapdragon version . it never overheat . really good performance .my phone never feels slow but the down side is i can't install custom rom unlike the exynos version which can be upgraded to the latest android version .

I've lucked out because I don't have that heating issue Except for when I edit videos on it Or other extremely heavy uses. But majority of the time it just stays cool and all right. So I guess it depends on the device. As a Samsung S10 e user extremely heavy user by the way I would recommend this device in 2024 and 2025. Oh and it's a great work phone I have the flashlight on for like a long while working on some machinery and equipment dropped it on the ground dropped in water a bunch LOL it's a great work Buddy. I've used it snowshoeing-25-35 C the battery doesn't die like an iPhone battery when it gets cold like my iPhone 6 Plus at the time. Or in the summertime when I was doing Ultra during cycling plus 25 to 40 Celsius in fact that's the reason why I got this phone. Because I couldn't fit it in the top tube bag and it wouldn't take up all the space and it had the headphone jack so when my phone conductive Bluetooth headphones die I can use an old pair of white iPod or Apple headphones while charging my Bluetooth wireless headphones with an anchor battery in that same pouch or top tube bag. So if you're looking at getting this phone hopefully my recommendation helps you make a decision but keep in mind it's 5 to 6 years old
I bought mine about 5 years ago. Battery is fine and it performs well. Love the size. When it breaks, I'll buy one on Ebay. The battery lasts 2 days when I don't use it very much throughout the day. Love the fingerprint sensor on the power button!!
I watch it on the same phone, and without saying more, there is only one thing I can confirm: the Galaxy S10e 2024 is still a very competitive phone in the middle category of all phones currently.
Just came across your review. Guess what, I have been running an S6 edge until one month ago where it sadly finally died, 9 years I kept it going for!! I was aiming for 10 before doing a big upgrade so got painfully close, a shame. Now looking for temporary alternatives and the S10e was one main option as it is the same size as the S6, which I like. Not too sure now after your review of the bad points, but maybe if I was happily still using an S6 then an S10 still should be an upgrade? What do you think I should go for and what has your comparisons told you so far, is there a sweet spot with these old Samsung phones between price and functionality to todays standards? I was thinking the S10 generation might be that middle ground between being new enough that things work and apps are supported and still a bit old school with things like the size and 3.5mm jack, etc.
Hi! Actually this review is not only about phone but also a realization of how far we, ve improved on technology. Older phones we used to see them very good by then, but actually there is difficulties on them being reliable due to some various circumstances/reasons. I believe also the ones we r using now will seem later on not to b dependable in future no matter how impressive/costly they r. Gud review by the way. God bless.
I need a review on s20 fe (I'm in the market for a new phone, and I want to make an informed decision). I had the s10 but it was stolen so I've been stuck with my old a10. Between the s10 series and s20fe, which is a better buy? (I like a phone with a fast processor, ample storage, great camera, and a good build quality, among many things)
I am using S10e since 2019 up to now and I already replaced the battery 3 weeks ago. I am still using is because I have a small hands and using bigger phones is too uncomfortable for me and there is no belt bag (for jogging) available that can fit any phone larger than S10e.
Whenever the phone starts to get hot, I put it on airplane mode and turn it off! As heat can destroy electronics and batteries! Then just turn it back on after it cools down!
As a guy using the s10e for 5 months, I agree with this low battery life. However you're overreacting with this heating thing. It does warm up during intense gameplay but that's manageable And yeah Camera and performance are superb without a question
I have a guy that owns this phone and he play codm flawlessly on it, even my iphone 11 get hot and i would have to support it wit cold sachet water to cool it down.
The s10e can be great if you know how to or what to do to keep the battery 🔋 from dying so quick and I found a solution to that and most people use it limit the apps that use data usage in the background and apps that you don't use of don't need or want and restrict them from using the battery in the background or even if in use also limit your phones brightness and limit the vibration on the phone known as haptics also use this and it's very important limit the animation scale to lower animations there's more but can't tell you all of them
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Bought It brand new when it came out, used it for about 8 months and it started heating and refused to charge even took it to Samsung in Lagos and they said I should take it back to the country I bought it which I did and it was deadweight that was how I bout iPhone XS out of anger and guess what? I use the iPhone till today. ❤.
