Really appreciate the work you guys put in to these reviews. The only thing I hope you guys do in the future is a performance comparison between the Snapdragon and the Exynos variants of the phone.
I just got the S10 e with COVID required curb side pick up at AT&T. I just ordered a Samsung 512gb SD card. I think the tray adding storage is a great feature.
Revisited because sick of very large and heavy phone nowadays.. reverting and going to use this as my daily driver.. easy to use and carry in busy lifestyle, compact and cheap flagship.
Observations from my own S10e (Exynos version) 1. Build quality is good but SIM card tray is way too flimsy as its made from plastic (at least the tray itself). They should have used metal for the entire SIM tray. 2. Camera (front and back) tends to overexpose but photo quality is generally good. 3. Fingerprint sensor is way too high. It should be nearer to the middle. 4. Don't use Face unlock if you value security, it can be fooled easily. 5. SoT is good (around 7 to 8 hours) but standby battery drain is very erratic. 6. Cellular data connection is sometimes unreliable. 7. Stereo speakers on mine are kind of weak.
How are the ex external speakers? I'm trying to decide between the S10e and the S10. Does it have the dual speakerswhere once from the earpiece in the other ones from the bottom firing speaker.
Guys I need advice! I am using s6 right now and thinking of upgrading. I was shitting on s10e before it came out because I felt like they would cut lots of corners but once it actually got released and I had a chance to play around with it, I'm actually very interested now! The thing is, I'm still struggling with whether to go with S10e or S10. Price is not the issue for me since I've saved up enough for an S10. I really like the design of S10e and since I am very apprehensive of using a curved display for the first time, the flat display of s10e really draws me in. I know that s10 is better than s10e in pretty much every way but when I compare s10 to my s6 it feels...different, whereas s10e feels familiar but just better in every way. But I am also thinking whether I will regret if I buy s10e as I could've got better specs for a bit more cash. Plus it's nice to have more screen real estate where you can, and s10e does feel smaller than the rest of the family. Really torn right now. Also another issue I have is the battery. The battery is probably the biggest reason I want to change my phone now because even though it works well, it dies after like 2 hours of screen-on time. But this is because I have used the phone for almost 4 years now and I expect my new phone to be A LOT better in terms of battery. I heard that S10e battery is decent but not great and it can only last about a day. Generally it sounds okay to me but I wonder if I should go for s10 just to be on the safe side in case I require heavy usage on some days. Will feel a bit disappointed having to carry a powerbank for a brand new flagship phone.
1:04 The curved display allows Edge Notification face down, set "Interaction Control" if you're desperate to block the screen or install a case which cuts edge touchs down. I find the edge touch useful because when I'm reading a webpage, and the "Screen Timeout" is set short, a squeeze of the phone resets the timeout and lets me keep reading uninterrupted.

My concern with the S10e is the display and which I think is very important because that's what you will be looking at most of the time. It's pixel density is 438ppi only compared to S10 which has 550ppi and even the S9 which is even bigger than the two giving you 570ppi. Although I'm used to setting my display to FHD+(2220x1080) on my S8, will I still notice the difference aside from the fact that it's using the new Dynamic Amoled display? If I buy the S10 that has 550ppi, will it manifest in the screen even if I only set the resolution to FHD+ (2220x1080) only? I hope anyone could give some light to this because this is the only thing that's holding me back in making the purchase decision.
S10e. The samsung brand is a lot more hassle free than any chinese brand in after sales service i have faced this. And tge phone is quite good and OneUI is better than honor's UI. Megapixels dont matter everyone knows unless u want to crop ur photos heavily.
Night mode works on all lenses (main, ultrawide and selfie), and is absolutely amazing. You can find the S10e at less than $500 or 500€ (got mine for 489€ three weeks ago), it's incredibly good for the price. You will find it under $400 refurbished/renewed. Go for it!
I love this phone, even more than the 'actual' flagship s10, but still it is not worth the price, at all. A few years ago, I bought the Samsung Note 4 which was the king of the kings on smartphone game and it costed 799€ which is basically the same as the S10e here in portugal (780€) which is sort of a flagship with a few compromises? (Some say it's medium range, don't even know) To me that is a big deal. Why do I, just some years ago could have the best of the best for the same price as this phone who is almost not even considered a flagship? For comparison, I don't make 30% more money than 4 years ago, here in Portugal phones cost a lot more than to americans, especially if you consider the minimum wage...

This finally helped me to make my choice thank you man
I want to buy s10e and i just want to know that if this phone have night mode on wide and ultra wide cams?
Night mode works on all lenses (main, ultrawide and selfie), and is absolutely amazing. You can find the S10e at less than $500 or 500€ (got mine for 489€ three weeks ago), it's incredibly good for the price. You will find it under $400 refurbished/renewed. Go for it!
Is it possible to swap the back button to the right-hand side of the phone?
Yes. Now with Android 10 being available on the S10e you have even more options: navigation bar or gestures from the bottom or from the sides.
