I would have kept it another 3 years otherwise. It was a GREAT phone. I'm in day 2 of the S10a and so far so good!

I love my S10e. I tried out the S10 for a week and it was nice. But, I found the under the screen fingerprint sensor to be less practical and consistent than ones on the back or, like the e, on the side. By the way, the sensor on the e super fast! Also, the size is freaking perfect. If you liked the s8/9 footprint, you'll love the 10e. It's a little shorter with the same screen real estate.
We should compare this with I phone XS and not with I phone XR. The size, performance ,display and camera are comparable or some places better than I phone XS. Well done Samsung. I got my S10e.I am really enjoying. Strongly recommended.

Current happy owner of Exynos S10e (128/6GB) Prism White Pros: 1) Flat screen, Dynamic Amoled is awesome! 1080p works great! Damn thin bezels! The cut out is one of the best compromises, better than those stupid notches. No curved display which is a big plus for me, i actually quited samsung after Note 3 because they introduced the infinity display. 2) The capacitive side fingerprint scanner is very ACCURATE and fast! Love it than some fancy Ultrasonic FP that doesn't 100% work. The overall feel in my hand is very great as it is a compact sized phone and it felt magical and comfortable compared to those big ass phones (yes iphone 7 plus and those huge devices) 3) Very smooth and blazing fast, do not believe those bullshit by some ppl saying lags or stutters. Zero issues. Built in optimiser for clearing memory and cache! One UI may seem cartoony, but i have zero issues and enjoyed those extra features that Samsung offers! 4) Camera is stellar but night time shots could be better. Video quality is on par with Iphone XS max. I say this because the video quality is really great and detailed. Wide Angle is nice to have as well ^_^ 5) Audio quality is simply dope. Loud clear and rich. But it is another different level when you activate that DOLBY ATMOS. You want to enjoy music? This is the phone to get besides the LG V series. IT has a 3.5MM JACK if you are into wired audio. 6) Battery life, i can completely got a FULL DAY use with 10-15% left. Yes it is 3100 mah, but it really works wonders, especially you switched on Bluetooth, GPS, LTE, WIFI and Dolby Atmos. SOT 5-6 hours with moderate usage without gaming. Standby drain is kinda weird, not stellar, but not bad. In fact, the battery drain less when you switched on all as i said above! But I do not use Always on Display and i set battery mode to adaptive mode. Just do not compare this with those phones with 4000-5000mah batteries. It has been great for me. 7) Heat and performance, this Exynos is totally fine, just that it is a glass phone, make sure do not use those cases with poor cooling space. I ripped off the original plastic screen protector (which actually makes your phone heats up!) and slapped on a Ringke Fusion case, no heating issues at all. 8) Charging is QC2.0 slower but for 3100 capacity, it is quite fast, 15W i can charge from 10% to 100% full in just an hour. No heating up at all during the charging phase! Do not believe those misleading comments here. Overall i am really satisfied with my S10e Prism White. That form factor and convenience with one hand, perfectly wins Iphone XR and SE on every aspect hands down! (Not to mention i got it during promotion, which is cheaper and has free Galaxy Buds!) One tip, disable background activity for those stupid heavy apps such as Facebook. You will noticed the world is a better place haha. Buy this if you appreciate compact phones. Otherwise, get S10 or S10+.
You clearly put a LOT of hard work and time into this video, with the exclusive footage and gorgeous shots for every single short clip and I appreciated every one of them. Not to mention your well thought-out opinions and the clarity in your wording. Thank you for all the time you spent making this informative video -- your videos are so seamless and professional I doubt anyone appreciates the work that goes into them
i got it 2 days ago for 420$ I'm upgrading from an A5 2016 if anyone knows this phone and maaaan this phone is phenomenal i love it and even though the battery is only 3100mAh it will last you all day with some juice left in it i really recommand this phone
Now in 2021 (and even perhaps 2022) you can pick this device up for around $250 USD and it is a bargain, with its OLED and 6GB of RAM. I think it will receive Android 12, but even with 11 it works very, very well as a result of the excellent Samsung UI and Bixby routines. If you are close to a wifi router (e.g. at home or work) you can enable wifi calling and shut off the cell antenna and this will give you a standby time of several days. This phone is nicely pocketable and the build quality is superior to iPhone. I am not really concerned about security patches after 2023, because Android modules as well as apps can be updated via Google Play. Front camera works very well for unlocking the phone quickly. I was thinking about an iphone mini but chose this instead for about 1/3 the price and do not regret it at all.
My S10E is perfect for my requirements. I love the smaller phones because I'm not married to it like a lot of people I see. I can set it down and go do things and not worry that it's not in my pocket or in my face 24/7. Great review!!
After 7 IPhone’s this is a refreshing change and I missed the headphone jack so much! I bought mine refurbished but honestly seems brand new, not a scratch or mark on it! And only paid $400 for the 256gb! The S10e is a dream!
I've got this phone the best part is the camera witch I broke both lenses already while in my pocket with some rocks I found .(had to have em )so definitely get a case for it awsomephone worth 749?I don't think so.
I had the Note 8 and just got the S10e in the same color. Theres definitely an upgrade difference, I use to have the S7 and it has the same feel to it just the screen is a pin hole infinity display. Love it.
I currently have an LG Stylo 5 and I ordered the S10e the other day. I'm going to miss the actual stylus, but I'm excited about this phone! Hopefully it comes in early tomorrow lol
I find using the fingerprint sensor extremely easy and it works first time every time, I hold it in my left hand and touch the sensor with my right thumb.
The last phone that I remember was so tempting to get and beautifully and powerfully packed , was the Xperia Z3 Compact at the time, now I have the same feeling about S10e plus I think if not the best its definitely one the top 5 phones on the market right now. The price is so damn high for us with decreasing the Rial value to Dollar. Its almost 5x more expensive than last year if would be released then. God bless Vmerica.
I took my S10 back to the store and exchanged it for the 10 e and am absolutely loving it I was toying with getting this but went for the S10 I never got along with it straight out the box jus didn't like it's feel and the in display fingerprint scanner 😫forget it it's more miss than hit even after an update and the side mounted one on the 10 e is solid just my opinion!!!
Good video... the S10e is 5.6x2.75x 0.3 ...S10 is 5.9x2.77x 0.3 not much size difference. S10E has thicker bezels but it has a flat screen which is nice especially when looking for screen protectors. The S10 comes with 2GB more RAM ,a better screen , extra camera, uses Gorilla glass 6 ( S10e uses Gorilla glass 5) a bigger battery and an inscreen fingerprint scanner which is kind of cool but not really perfected. The S10e is $150 cheaper then the regular S10 and has a flat screen if that is something that you want. If you pre-ordered the S10 you even got the Samsung earbuds... I guess it all comes down to if you want a flat screen .
S10e feels super small. It's quite a bit smaller, same size diff as s10 to s10+. The battery may be smaller but it lasts longer than s10 (google). Fingerprint reader may not be as cool but it is faster and more reliable. It's def not as flashy as s10 but is the star of the show this year.
@@rnburley yeah ... originally I was was going to get the 10 e because I wanted a smaller phone but I went to Best buy and looked at both and the S10 is almost exactly the same width it's just taller than the 10e and the bezels were smaller on the S10.... The S10 plus is really quite a bit wider then the regular s10 you definitely feel it...if you go to the store and grab it ...it feels like a big phone...the fingerprint scanner though it wasn't great at the beginning since I got an update it's worked I would say 9 out of 10 times with no problem....they're both really good phones I think if you want a flat screen get the 10 e... But with the pre-order the 10s was a better deal with all the extras you got and with the Samsung wireless headphones and blah blah blah blah... Anyway enjoy your 10E it's a really nice phone.
worth the purchased. lots of speed and features..pocketable, powerful and gorgeous display. powershare is a nice feat especially for emergency situations
I'm not a lefty but for some reason I always use my phone in my left hand, damn I hadn't even considered this until just now... I'm loving the S10e and I'm thinking about getting it but this made me rethink that. I may have to go with the S10 or simply not use the biometrics on the S10e. P.s. Seeing as now we have transparent OLED screens being built into smart appliances such as refrigerators, I don't think we'll be having to deal with the camera hole-punch much longer.
Just got the A10e. It's a nice phone. But no wireless charging, no fingerprint scanner, and slower face unlock make it a real compromise. I'll pay it off and get the S10E.
I understand that they wanted to keep the S10e looking similar to the more expensive models, but a back fingerprint sensor would've been so much better.
10:22 Perfect replacement for Galaxy S7, i hate curved glass, hate big screens don't need them. Need reliable phone that will run for 4+ years just like S7
Yeah, I remember when the premium or hyper smartphones of yesterday were 599 US dollars, even the mighty iPhone, now days $599 is a "premium" midranger (whatever that means) that compromise in many ways. Mobile phones are over expensive, but we as consumers are to blame, not Samsung or Apple.
@@AndSheDoesItAgain To be honest, it's not too bad. It can last the day and still have remaining battery life at the end. (From Morning to Late Night.)
It is small tho, 18:9 ratios do that to people like even my former s8 felt tiny and uncomfortable in my hand with my fingers usually crashing into each other texting
Good size, like the s7 and flat screen and a reliable fingerprint sensor feels like a win. Battery size is a little on the smaller side, let’s wait to see the p30. Anyway feels like the more balanced galaxy s phone this year. Priced similar to s9 with a bigger 128gb nice. Comparing this to an X(R) is just wrong. Unless you use the Apple ecosystem, little reason to stick with X(R). Prefer this to the X(R) for the size and ultrawide lens. Screen is probably better since it’s dynamic amoled. Resolution less important. And who changes ecosystem every few years. Those in Apple camp will stick to Apple. Face id is still better than face unlock or ultrasonic. The s10e will likely be in my list for next phone, but in asia they are selling the exynos version which is slower than k980 so may lean towards p30, if the features there and pricing is good. Let’s see. Hole punch and one ui seems good also. Bb notches.
Just wondering what's the difference with the Toshiba UFS used in the 10e vs the Samsung UFS used in the 10/10+? Is it just cheaper? Less reliable? Because it looked faster at 1166 MB/s. Thanks.
I agree with the criticism of the fingerprint sensor. It's located far too high up the phone and it's a pain for lefties. I'm coming from a moto z3 play with a similar scanner but the placement on the z is just right for me.

Busterpeek21
But how about the battery life?
We should compare this with I phone XS and not with I phone XR.
The size, performance ,display and camera are comparable or some places better than I phone XS.
Well done Samsung.
I got my S10e.I am really enjoying.
Strongly recommended.

Going to buy one too. Selling my xs
how about fingerprint sensor dude? was confused either s10e or s10 due to the fingerprint sensor. coming from s7 btw.
@@fellar031 finger print sensor is very responsive and found convenient as we can register enough finger prints of us suiting how we hold the phone in any instant.
It works fine all the time.
@@dominionn09 ...why not trade it in when pre order promo was running...
Raff Zh. I missed out on that. They only give you $550 now on a trade in. I'd be losing like at least $250 from what I can sell it for on Swappa
I’m getting my S10e tomorrow!!!!! I can’t wait 😁
I had the same feeling of it needing a case. Thank you for being the only reviewer talking about how it feels instead of just specs and tech bla bla..
To all of y'all, yes $749 is not cheap. But, it is relatively cheap. Especially for how new it is.
not new now, around 400 bucks now! much better!
@@elizabethhoffman_ idk how you found one for $400 😂 it was $600 the last time I checked
This is the true successor of the Galaxy S7.
I'm upgrading from my galaxy S7 to the new S10e. I couldn't agree with you more!
Sooo true. Wont have to get used to the massiveness that phones are nowadays.
My s7 edge was $900
I'm gonna have to wait s12 or 13
@@goyod6 you mean s22 and s23
These reviewers calling $750 cheap... Phone makers hear this and are probably rubbing their hands, thinking we can charge more for our "budget" version.
Remember that reviewers get these review phones for free or at a discount. This guy didn't have to pay $749 so he has no conception of how much that is to a lot of people
It's fairly inexpensive for a FLAGSHIP DEVICE. That's the reason why he calls it "cheap". Besides the price tag will probably drop soon like on any other Samsung device.
Its cheap to have theese specs and too look rich at the same time with this phone. Cuz you know what? This is samsung. Eventough oneplus or xiaomi catch up with at the specs, you still wont look rich using them. Theres a pride in the brand. And rich people will give extra money just for that reason. Cheers
in Australia the s10e is $1000 :(
Right... Apple's next move will be the $2000 assPhone, a game changer. It will come with a built-in butt-hole instead a camera hole so you can f*ck with your phone even more. Ha-Ha-Ha
About to go get mine today I'm so excited I'm glad I saw your video
Yesterday I was watching this vid on my Xiaomi A2. And now, I am watching it again on my S10e. Thank you for such a great review^^ I bought the s10e right after I watched this review.
This phone review is spot on, I literally just got this phone and it's amazing!
Current happy owner of Exynos S10e (128/6GB) Prism White
Pros:
1) Flat screen, Dynamic Amoled is awesome!
The overall feel in my hand is very great as it is a compact sized phone and it felt magical and comfortable compared to those big ass phones (yes iphone 7 plus and those huge devices)
3) Very smooth and blazing fast, do not believe those bullshit by some ppl saying lags or stutters.
Wide Angle is nice to have as well ^_^
5) Audio quality is simply dope.
(Not to mention i got it during promotion, which is cheaper and has free Galaxy Buds!)
One tip, disable background activity for those stupid heavy apps such as Facebook. You will noticed the world is a better place haha.
Buy this if you appreciate compact phones. Otherwise, get S10 or S10+.
I love my s10e. I may upgrade later to the s10 or s10 plus but everything about this phone is amazing.
Thanks for covering the flatness of the edges and usability for left-handers.
Battery life still could be questionable. Other then that it's a great phone and equally as good as the other 2.
Now I realised XS (ten S) is the opposite of S10 (S ten)
arenchew kewl
Irony much?
Finally a reviewer pointed out the awkward location of the FPS for small- and left-hand users.
it's in no way awkward. its right where my thumb rests.
@@g0ud77 He said left handed.
You clearly put a LOT of hard work and time into this video, with the exclusive footage and gorgeous shots for every single short clip and I appreciated every one of them. Not to mention your well thought-out opinions and the clarity in your wording. I was really unsure about the s10e even by the end, but I need to upgrade the s7 to a budget phone and you actually sold me. Thank you for all the time you spent making this informative video -- your videos are so seamless and professional I doubt anyone appreciates the work that goes into them
i got it 2 days ago for 420$
I'm upgrading from an A5 2016 if anyone knows this phone and maaaan this phone is phenomenal i love it
and even though the battery is only 3100mAh it will last you all day with some juice left in it
i really recommand this phone
I'm ordering one of these on Thursday and I can NOT wait!!!
5.8 inches isn't exactly "pint sized"!
It is by today's standard.
keep telling her that 😂😂
It’s almost exactly the same size as my iPhone 6... except it’s all screen! instead of those gigantic bezels!
Ayyyy ITZY! 👏🏽 ordered an s10e and it’ll be here in a few days, I’m so excited!
I love the S10e, however, I do notice the brightness and colour difference between it and the 10 or 10+.
My S10E is perfect for my requirements. I love the smaller phones because I'm not married to it like a lot of people I see.
I can set it down and go do things and not worry that it's not in my pocket or in my face 24/7.
Great review!!
I just got one, so I'm researching!!! ♡♥♡
Just got one from amazon renewed for $250. Looks like it's brand new. I absolutely love it.
After 7 IPhone’s this is a refreshing change and I missed the headphone jack so much! I bought mine refurbished but honestly seems brand new, not a scratch or mark on it! And only paid $400 for the 256gb! The S10e is a dream!
I'm still using my cardinal red s10e and I just love it so much
as little as $749 LMAO
Just selling jargon to play with your head, making you think you’re saving money when you really aren’t.
Well yeah, it sucks to be poor... I'll stick with a $200 phone for now...
@@kevinphoenix2007 you nailed it.

Love it.
I have galaxy s6 edge, and it's time for an upgrade now. This phone is perfectly fits my need.
Great video, Ive seen like 30 review videos but you covered stuff I hadnt seen, and were enthusiastic, love it! Thanks
I think I watch all s10e reviews... l really love this phone just wait to low the price soon.
Even if it is a smaller version my pocket is way too small for the price.😂
Right lmao
I got one used for $317 from eBay excellent condition last week Not the best price but I am very happy with it.

@@kuramarosetta8193 Your calling people a fool for buying a flagship like seriously ?
The last phone that I remember was so tempting to get and beautifully and powerfully packed , was the Xperia Z3 Compact at the time, now I have the same feeling about S10e plus I think if not the best its definitely one the top 5 phones on the market right now. The price is so damn high for us with decreasing the Rial value to Dollar. Its almost 5x more expensive than last year if would be released then. God bless Vmerica.
Bin using it...an amazing phone Iv used from Samsung.
I got a Samsung s10e a month ago. Came from a iPhone 5s. Its amazing, I love it but the Samsung s10e is huge. I wish smaller phones were a thing.
Did you ever get used to the size of the s10e?
What a great, honest, down to earth review. Subscribed.
Thx for this review! I'm getting this phone this saturday so...yeah!
Now I have an s6 edge. It is the same size as the s10e and I can say that's it's a perfect size!!
worth the purchased. lots of speed and features..pocketable, powerful and gorgeous display. powershare is a nice feat especially for emergency situations
I love my s10e. Got an otterbox. Plays skynyrd all day/night
How much of a difference is there between the s10 display and s10e display? It is worth the higher price?
I'm not a lefty but for some reason I always use my phone in my left hand, damn I hadn't even considered this until just now... I'm loving the S10e and I'm thinking about getting it but this made me rethink that. I may have to go with the S10 or simply not use the biometrics on the S10e.
P.s. Seeing as now we have transparent OLED screens being built into smart appliances such as refrigerators, I don't think we'll be having to deal with the camera hole-punch much longer.
Saw a bunch of S10e reviews and this might've been the best one, content wise.
Just got the A10e. It's a nice phone. But no wireless charging, no fingerprint scanner, and slower face unlock make it a real compromise. I'll pay it off and get the S10E.
How are the cameras? Better than pixel 3a and iphone?
I understand that they wanted to keep the S10e looking similar to the more expensive models, but a back fingerprint sensor would've been so much better.
10:22
Perfect replacement for Galaxy S7, i hate curved glass, hate big screens don't need them. Need reliable phone that will run for 4+ years just like S7
Which phone is better S9 plus or S10E and specially Camera which phone has better camera - S9 Plus or S10E ?
Personally i believe that the s10e is the better option among all the s10 models
Yeah, I remember when the premium or hyper smartphones of yesterday were 599 US dollars, even the mighty iPhone, now days $599 is a "premium" midranger (whatever that means) that compromise in many ways. Mobile phones are over expensive, but we as consumers are to blame, not Samsung or Apple.
the galaxy s10e looks like a full screan galaxy s6 lol
it really does. And I am ok with that XD
I have an s6 and i love, so I'm falling in love with the s10e and maybe I'm going for it, just because of this reason
It's the same height, just a little thinner.
The S10e is by far the best phone I've ever owned. Ever.
But 749USD ain't just a little bit.
DWR - How is the battery life? That’s what’s putting me off.
@@AndSheDoesItAgain To be honest, it's not too bad. It can last the day and still have remaining battery life at the end. (From Morning to Late Night.)

Coming iPhone 6s plus is this a good upgrade?
The Verge should hire reviewers like this guy. Nice review. "Best small android phone" - with 5.8" screen :D
It is small tho, 18:9 ratios do that to people like even my former s8 felt tiny and uncomfortable in my hand with my fingers usually crashing into each other texting
As an iPhone user since the first iPhone this might be my next phone due to them using a headphone jack. Well done Samsung.
the main reason why I'm going for the S10e instead of the A51 for example is the size
I don't regret subscribing and liking this vid after seeing 3:35, man you have a good taste 👌
S10e or S9 for new Android user?
Thanks.
Gotta love that a 5.8 inch screen is now called "pint sized". My first smart phone had a 4.5 inch screen lol. The first iPhone? 3.5 inches!
I am watching this on my Samsung Galaxy S10E I love this phone
I want a 4 inch phone with zero Bezel for $400-500 with Decent specs
Which phone is better A51 or S10e
Have you tried using the right index finger for the finger print sensor? Much easier than using the right thumb.
I agree with the criticism of the fingerprint sensor. It's located far too high up the phone and it's a pain for lefties. I'm coming from a moto z3 play with a similar scanner but the placement on the z is just right for me.
