Hey guys - don’t forget to check out and subscribe to Sunil’s cool channel here: m.ruclips.net/user/WindowSeatVideo - and I might do some giveaways soon! Let me know what sort of stuff you’d be interested in. It’s got to be something I can get for free on a trip, but NOT safety cards (they’re mandatory flight equipment and you shouldn’t take those).
Great video mate, loved it! Sorry kept you guys waiting in the bus 🙂 Too bad indeed James couldn't make it, next time... I have to start editing my video, at the moment I'm finishing my F70 video. Hope to have it up in 2 weeks. It was nice meeting you, looking forward to future collabs 👍
Another great video - thanks! I think KLM must be keeping many of these smaller airports on the eastern side of England (Norwich, humberside, tees valley etc) open!
Here’s a bit of a rundown, KLM purchased Air UK which connected regional airports to LHR, and on to other places with BA, and rebranded it as KLM UK flying the same routes, then it was absorbed by KLM Cityhopper, where the previous UK Regional Airport to LHR was replaced by UK Regional Airport to AMS!
Great trip report as always , Paul . I really enjoy your videos , just subscribed yesterday :) Looking forward to the next video ! Greetings from Hong Kong
I certainly will enjoy your future videos :) If you don't mind , please have a look at one of my trip reports and give me some feedback . Link is here : ruclips.net/video/L8sKgDJpPFI/видео.html Thanks and have good day :)
Hey mate... Firstly congrats on 15759 subscribers... Growing fast nice one...! Really like the split Scimitar Winglets of the 737's, and am with you on the dawn take offs with the great views and sun rises Cheers for another great video and hope James got some sort of compensation for his stuffed up flight...! All the best and more 'Bon Voyages'... ;-)
Nice video👍🏻 I live near the airport and flew on the Fokker 70 a few months before which was great. Sorry to hear you didn't get the Fokker, at least you flew on it before. Subbed
I just returned from a whirlwind trip (LHR-ATL-MGM-IAD-JFK-LHR). My seats wouldn't have been anything to see, but on the JFK-LHR I had a window seat. Got a nice takeoff video, but LHR required no video on the approach. Lots of fog, and there were special landing requirements. But, I thought of your great videos, and when I looked at my 1 video...and am grateful for your great videos. Thanks for you dedication and generosity.
Ah, yes, the dreaded autoland - had one of those a while back (there's a video on my channel somewhere). Was a real pea souper in Glasgow, at night. Visibility must have been 100m or less.
+Adam Joyce Thanks Adam. I usually try to film at a slight angle, or put my hand behind my phone to block out cabin light. But there are still quite a few reflections in my videos - I always think they’re much more noticeable to the filmer than the viewer!
Actually Thank you, Mate! I enjoy your video reports quite well, trying to find a way to contribute funds to help out, have a strict budget. As the saying goes in my family, "Is no disgrace being poor, just sure inconvenient" LOL Have a fantastic week, :o)
Embraer makes a very good wee airliner, they are a real credit to their home country of Brazil. Ideal for routes such as Humberside to Amsterdam Schiphol.
Don’t know why people travel hours and hours to Heathrow and Gatwick when they can use their local airport using KLM Cityhopper? How easy was it, and no waiting around! Or endless duty free. Great report Paul. 👍
Hi paul great report. Ive been to Humberside airport must be 50 times over the years. I find it easy to get to A180/M180 only a few miles from it. There is a train service to Barnetby about five miles away so not bad. Near to th road to the Humber bridge so easy to get to M62.
Years ago flew Durham Tees Valley (I think it was still called Teesside Airport then) from Amsterdam, always remember the length of the taxi-ing in the dark at Schiphol, and the buzzy interior of the Fokker. Interesting to see a napkin at 15.15 presumably "fixing" a panel buzz on your flight.
+Ken Sherwood Good spot on the napkin - there were actually a few of those down the aisle, assuming they were to solve rattly panels as you say! The Fokker is only buzzy down the back, I sat up front on my trip on it and it was like a library up there.
Fantastic video as always :D and in my opinion, i think the A350 has the best winglet and that's also my favourite aircraft as i just think they are unique and there engines sound beautiful :)
Yes they are a very small airport but that's a bonus as it makes them very easy to navigate and it's usually a very short distance to the runway and you get to takeoff almost immediately.👍👏🤝
How do you rate Schiphol? I quite liked the airport, it's big, but I could still find my way, which is good, I guess. And how much is the supplement for the 'comfort seat'? I'm 2m tall, I might opt for that, if I ever need to fly again (I don't like flying) and it doesn't cost too much.
Hi Paul. Great trip report as normal. I just arrived back from Schipho; a couple of hours ago. I was up on the terrace talking with a couple of local spotters. They said nothing has really been decided regards another name for the Fokker farm But RJ Ranch appears to be a favourite. Regards small airports Gloucester takes some beating as does Valley.
What a mess.. but awesome to see you guys making a collaboration. :) I read you will start editing with premiere pro? Are you editing on windows? If on mac, why didn´t you choose final cut? Also did you decide which camera you will buy in the near future? Eventhough I really enjoyed watching this video once again! I can´t wait for the next one to come :)
Humberside, OH YES!! You should of took the Humber flyer. Humberside airport is the closest as I live in lincoln though I use it only to get to cornwall
Great video, as always, Paul. Love the almost ironic music choice too, given this was your first collab and you weren't on your own. Then again, that might have been exactly why you chose it. My bad!
Nice report. Two weeks ago, I flew Air France: Paris to London, and KLM: London to Amsterdam either on A320s or B737s. Both very short flights, both very full, and both with free on board service. I was very impressed with the offerings and the speed and efficiency of the cabin crew. We had the same beautiful Delft snack box with the same contents as you did on the KLM flight. Take that, BA! Another coincidence: I was based for a week with relatives in Virginia Water, which as it turns out, is not that far away from Woking :) Next Time I'll look out for a familiar face, lol ;)
+jasminderpinder SkyTeam are a decent Alliance and Air France/KLM have always been decent with me. Just wish they had cheaper business class fares in Europe.
On a slight but related tangent, I chose my particular flight routing on my return to YYZ, to be from AMS so as to enjoy what could be one of my last flights on a B747 (due to replacement), that airliner being my absolute favourite, having flown it and watched it take off and landing so gracefully countless times over the past 40+ years. In 2011 I flew 3 times on Lufthansa's 747 fleet in Business Class and the entire flight experience was simply wonderful. This time on KLM, the experience was quite underwhelming, sadly. The planes interior was very old and showed its age and one of the cabin attendants even said so to me. I flew economy, had an emergency door seat with lots of extra leg room (still uncomfortable in seat A because of the door protrusion, and no window!) and found the service to be just rudimentary.
Don't know they were so peed off at you guys filming, it's not like boarding a plane is a top secret affair! Love how you always take some goodies from the lounge for the flight.
Darren Bates I remember I took a picture of the plane, and the ground staff were so aggressive about it. I know security is tight, what what harm was I causing ?
Great video - have you considered Durham Tees Valley airport - similar thing to this but even harder to get to! Powd Air is a new airline starting this winter flying to Sion in Switzerland - they might be pretty happy to get someone to film the flight experience as it's good promotion for them. Keep up the good work :)
+Robin Hollis Been through MME before and yes it’s a bugger to get to, not even sure if there’s still a bus these days! (I used the railway station 😂). I’ve looked into Powd Air but the inability to select a seat at the time of purchase means I won’t travel with them. The risk of not getting a window seat would be a major turn off.
Hey Paul! If you like regional airports you should try and fly from Kerry. They have one flight per day and two a day in peak season! Ryanair fly from stansted and Aer Lingus Regional from Dublin. I have never flown it myself but I intend to. Happy travels!
+Irish Aviation Want to try and get out to Knock Ireland West or Donegal... both impossibly hard to get to! (As a rule I don’t do back to back return trips)
Nice to see another flight, not covered elsewhere. I maybe mistaken, but the guy just about to sit in Business Class looked like the West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart.
can you try the loganair service thats just launched at EGNV (Durham Tees Valley Airport) either one of the destinations would be nice which are aberdeen or norwich, it would just be nice to see what you think of the new service. :)
Personally liked the little chat at the beginning feel it makes the trip report more personal. After your Caledonian sleeper report I’m taking it next Sunday and catching a Flybe dash 8 back to Bhx after a little whiskey tasting in Edinburgh. 👍🏻
+Nicholas Bevon I didn’t have to buy it as it’s complimentary in first class. However if I was going to Edinburgh on leisure I’d be inclined to lie in and skip it (bear in mind it’s only a 7h ish trip, not much time to do anything except sleep). I’d spend the money on a Wetherspoons breakfast when I’d arrived. However if you don’t have the luxury of time to eat in Edinburgh then the breakfast on the train is a good idea.
Think we had different experiences on the sleeper train as you saw last night not built for a guy my size. And the first class breakfast was worse than economy plane food. Look forward to the new carriages. And my Flybe dash 8 trip home tomorrow
Nice one Paul, have you ever flown to Skiathos or St Maarten ? now that would be an awesome trip,by the way my favourite winglet is the split scimitar used on some Boeing 737's : ) see you next sunday !
Haha, I only live 5 miles from you. I shall say a friendly hello if I ever see you at Woking Station! Shame about the Fokker and James, but Suneil was a nice but brief edition!
+trb10 GoPro is an action camera. You wouldn’t want to film a whole movie with it - I use it only for action shots like walking about or for fisheye capability when I’m in an enclosed space.
Great video as usual Paul! Out of curiosity, there are daily flights from Humberside to Darlington, 20 minute flight or less than a 2 hour drive. Any idea why such short flight between two fairly random destinations exist? Can't imagine there is much demand for this journey!
Hahaha, sometimes I wonder if you literally just use the last track Casey Neistat used :D. Ha! Good to hear that a new camera is on its way. Still impressed with how you managed to do it so far though. If you like Stroopwafels, make sure you get to Haarlem once and buy a fresh, warm one at a market. It's quite the treat. Kepten has a Laflie Dutsj Eksent too yes! Valkenburg is quiteclose to where I live. You may have flown over my house. Sunil was actually a brand washing detergent back in the 90's. I'm sure someone must've told him that.
What about giving away magazines as these are free to you in Lounges. Ps I have flown through AMS every month for 10 years and KLM have only had delays twice
Love the way you shop at the lounge... and oh! that absurd rule of not filming at airports. How boring, isn't it? Good point to see how KLM still manages to serve free catering even on shortest flights.
Great trip report!Spme suggestions for future trip reports:BFS-VNO Wizz Air Airbus A320BFS-GDN Ryanair Boeing 737DUB-NCL Ryanair Boeing 737DSA-VNO Wizz Air Airbus A320DSA-GDN Wizz Air Airbus A320BHX-VNO Ryanair Boeing 737BRS-KUN Ryanair Boeing 737BRS-NCL Easyjet Airbus A319LTN-PLQ Wizz Air Airbus A320
6:50 can't believe you were told not to film, like you said your plane enthusiasts! Thing is when you film boarding any plane you have to be careful or it's just that some don't mind the filming and some do.
My mom came in and said....What did he just say? I said.... Fockerd .....she thought something else....LOL....my mom thinks you're adorable and likes your accent.
I worked for Gatwick Airport Security and the reason why they don't want you filming without permission is you might catch certain aircraft or airport operations that could be deemed a security risk especially out on the ground . Just ask the airport operator and if you are genuine you will be cleared and that clearance will cover most UK airports . Ps If you have been asked to stop but carried on they could stop you at departures and make you turn off all your camera's
+Pete B I’d be really interested to know what sort of *aircraft* operations would be a security risk to be filmed. In terms of airport operations, obviously you don’t film in secure zones, like security, or passport control, or customs etc - that’s obviously not cool.
Paul's Trip Reports , They are always trying out new security equipment and the actual ground staff might not want to be filmed , it might sound daft as you can see most operations from the airside buildings but if you was asked not to film then there must have been a reason that you might not have been aware of .
+Pete B Well that’s my point - I wouldn’t film any security equipment (like at the checkpoint, or security fences, CCTV points etc). The ground staff, if they work in a public area with no reasonable expectation of privacy, may be filmed quite legally. It would be different if they were in an office, or some other area where they might reasonably be expected to have privacy. There’s no right in the UK “not to be filmed” if you’re in public. As I’ve said elsewhere in the comment stream, 120+ uploads and I’ve never before been asked not to film, and I do it quite obviously and openly.
Hey guys - don’t forget to check out and subscribe to Sunil’s cool channel here: m.ruclips.net/user/WindowSeatVideo - and I might do some giveaways soon! Sydney Aviation Spotter They’ll be giveaways - ie a type of competition ;-)
A plane model
+Raf's Vlogs That’s not going to be free, is it?
Paul's Trip Reports, on some KLM flights they give out free plane models, soooooo? How about them apples
6:58 when you said “This was the THIRD time” when was the first and second time you were told not to film?
Great video mate, loved it! Sorry kept you guys waiting in the bus 🙂 Too bad indeed James couldn't make it, next time... I have to start editing my video, at the moment I'm finishing my F70 video. Hope to have it up in 2 weeks.
It was nice meeting you, looking forward to future collabs 👍
We almost made it. My trip report on this will be a fun one to make. I will have to book a few other flights to join you in the future.
We'll sort something out next year - I have plenty of weekends free in 2018 :-)
I look forward to it.
I have enjoyed watching your videos also. I always look for you to put your stickers in a plane magazine.
love the catchy music in this report had me tapping my foot
+TOBLEROWAN123 Me too!
Another great trip report Paul! Keep them coming! :)
TheChosenRed Thanks!
Thanks Paul, really enjoyed this ! I have given Sunil a sub as his channel looks good as well. All the best and see you next Sunday :)

Nice to see you talking for longer on the intro Paul. Great vid as always. I normally watch them on my big screen
Great trip report as always , Paul . I really enjoy your videos , just subscribed yesterday :) Looking forward to the next video ! Greetings from Hong Kong

I'm going on Humberside - Amsterdam at 6:10AM tomorrow (Sunday 22nd July 2018)
What an awesome trip report Paul!
Thanks for another great trip report . see you out there next year.
How many times I've heard air traffic control say "follow the Fokker"......the 'smurf jet' will be missed. Great trip report, Paul. Carry on!

I love the choice of the Three Dog Night cover of "One" Paul. Then you bring in "Two..." after you and Sunil board the aircraft.
Another enjoyable trip report. Thanks!
Quick question: how do you avoid reflections when filming through aircraft windows? 🤔
+Adam Joyce Thanks Adam. I usually try to film at a slight angle, or put my hand behind my phone to block out cabin light. But there are still quite a few reflections in my videos - I always think they’re much more noticeable to the filmer than the viewer!
Seemed like KLM "Fokkered" you, oh well chit happens. Super video just the same Have a good week! :o)
+Larry R Wendell Jr Thanks Larry! 👍🏻
Actually Thank you, Mate! I enjoy your video reports quite well, trying to find a way to contribute funds to help out, have a strict budget. As the saying goes in my family, "Is no disgrace being poor, just sure inconvenient" LOL Have a fantastic week, :o)
Nice remix of some early Johnny Farnham.
I’m glad you changed to narration on these trip reports. It just makes the experience better
This video was fun to watch. Why was filming forbidden? Is Humberside Airport of such strategic importance?
Have you ever flown on Air New Zealand first class? They use the 777-300ER and the 787-9 out of LAX (they have the same interior I think)
Is there still a Fokker bolted to the roof at Schiphol? Speaking of micro-regional airports, have you flow Teesside, yet?
David Wilder yeah that Fokker is still there!
Fantastic video as always :D and in my opinion, i think the A350 has the best winglet and that's also my favourite aircraft as i just think they are unique and there engines sound beautiful :)
Another great report. I still require Humberside, must try to rectify that soon :-)
Great trip reports.Where does the music come from, how do you choose?
Yes they are a very small airport but that's a bonus as it makes them very easy to navigate and it's usually a very short distance to the runway and you get to takeoff almost immediately.👍👏🤝
Hi. The tune that begins at 14:31 sounds familiar but I am not being able to remember the song. Can you please identify the song/tune for me?
+Golden Grenade I did take the Humber Flyer!
Paul's Trip Reports nice!
Golden Grenade same here but i prefere east midlands airport
I live near Lincoln
Great video, as always, Paul. Love the almost ironic music choice too, given this was your first collab and you weren't on your own. Then again, that might have been exactly why you chose it. My bad!
It was an ironic choice :-) Thanks!
Great video. Have you been to Leeds Airport and do you plan to go there in the future?
Also, for an even smaller airport try Dinard-Saint Malo.

How was jyour Schiphol experience? I've heard the airport suffers from overcrowding.
Hi Paul would you be able to do a trip report for Air Europa? Or any route in Scotland?
Don't know they were so peed off at you guys filming, it's not like boarding a plane is a top secret affair! Love how you always take some goodies from the lounge for the flight.
Darren Bates I remember I took a picture of the plane, and the ground staff were so aggressive about it. I know security is tight, what what harm was I causing ?
I think it’s crazy that in the future, we will be mourning the E-Jets as KLM moves on again
thank you! i live near hull. you should try the ferries from here sometime
Great video - have you considered Durham Tees Valley airport - similar thing to this but even harder to get to! Don’t forget that Durham Tees Valley charge you a whole £6 to use the airport, which is an utter disgrace!
Paul's Trip Reports - you used the railway station? Doesn’t it get about 2 trains a week or something daft?
+MrGreatplum One a week, in each direction, Sundays only. :-)
Hey Paul! If you like regional airports you should try and fly from Kerry. They have one flight per day and two a day in peak season! Ryanair fly from stansted and Aer Lingus Regional from Dublin. I have never flown it myself but I intend to. Happy travels!

Paul's Trip Reports yes I often fly from Knock and it a must see if you’re an avgeek! The lounge there will certainly make your list ;)
Love the commentary, makes the videos 10 times better :)
MR.IRISH LAD Cheers, I’m upgrading my gear which will allow me to do a lot more in future - might do a bit more commentary or voiceover.
Nice to see another flight, not covered elsewhere. I maybe mistaken, but the guy just about to sit in Business Class looked like the West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart.
+ian smith Looks a bit like him but it couldn’t be! Think that guy has grey hair....

After your Caledonian sleeper report I’m taking it next Sunday and catching a Flybe dash 8 back to Bhx after a little whiskey tasting in Edinburgh. 👍🏻
Enjoy the sleeper - don't forget the Lowland to Glasgow/Edinburgh is quite a short trip so you'll need to be in bed pretty soon after leaving! :-)
Paul's Trip Reports was the breakfast worth the money?
+Nicholas Bevon I didn’t have to buy it as it’s complimentary in first class.
+airaction2257 I really want to fly into both those places!
Embraer 1xx or Bombardier CSeries... what's your favourite Paul?
+TheSaintST1 Haven’t been on a CSeries yet so I can’t tell you - but I am taking a CS100 in a few weeks ;-)
Paul's Trip Reports excellent I'll be looking forward to that one thanks!
You do Great work as Always
What does he mean by supplement ??? I've heard that a few times now
This is my favourite airline ✈️
I got to say my favorite vinglet is SAS Airbus A320neo.
But the Airbus a350 comes on a close 2nd. And after That it is the A319/20/21
I thought you're box breakfast was a box of White Caste Sliders!! LOL
Can’t wait to see what your new camera is like
I remember watching someone else's video. The journey from terminal to runway seem to take an eternity.
Can you link the song you used? I really like that song being I like the oldies big time.
+briansivley2001 Blue Wednesday - One

Haha, I only live 5 miles from you. I shall say a friendly hello if I ever see you at Woking Station! Shame about the Fokker and James, but Suneil was a nice but brief edition!
Great video again Paul.
+haggischaser1028 Cheers!
Thanks Paul
When are you going to fly from Aberdeen
+Snakestar 123 Gaming Been through ABZ a lot, just before I started filming!
my favourite winglets is the 747/400 and the 787/8 also the airbusa330/243 all these are my favourite winglets when I go to orlando
Great video Paul!
Do you recommend the go pro? Which one do you have?
+trb10 It’s okay - I’d like to upgrade, this is a Hero Session 4.
I'm flying to Singapore with Lufthansa first class in May and want to film it, and don't know what to get being a complete novice!
+trb10 Don’t film everything with a GoPro! It’ll hurt your head to watch it. I just use my
Phone for nearly everything. An iPhone 7 Plus.
Are they not good then?
+trb10 GoPro is an action camera. You wouldn’t want to film a whole movie with it - I use it only for action shots like walking about or for fisheye capability when I’m in an enclosed space.
Great video as usual Paul! Out of curiosity, there are daily flights from Humberside to Darlington, 20 minute flight or less than a 2 hour drive. Any idea why such short flight between two fairly random destinations exist? Can't imagine there is much demand for this journey!
It’s just an extension of the ABZ-MME service to HUY - not sure you can even buy tickets for MME-HUY.
There is Norwich flights
Love this video keep it up 👍✈️
i feel flyBe and other regional operators should run more domestic routes from Humberside
Hi which hotel is it
Hahaha, sometimes I wonder if you literally just use the last track Casey Neistat used :D.
"I'm sure someone must've told him that." Yeah 'Ive heared that one alot 🙂
The Rolling Troll Oh man, I’ve not watched any of his stuff (except plane videos) for about a year - how annoying that he chose that song too!
What about giving away magazines as these are free to you in Lounges. Ps I have flown through AMS every month for 10 years and KLM have only had delays twice
Only 15 miles from me that airport Paul :)
Love the way you shop at the lounge... and oh! that absurd rule of not filming at airports. How boring, isn't it?
Good point to see how KLM still manages to serve free catering even on shortest flights.

Could anyone help me with the song at 4.42? Thanks 😊👍
Can you please do some more ferry/ship reports? :))
+Matopian Oath They won’t be a frequent appearance on this channel but have a guess as to how I got back to Britain from Amsterdam ;-)
My favourite singlet is on the Boeing 767-300ER
I wish i can join your travels because you choose my favorite airlines
Please fly from EGNV (Durham Tees Valley!)
What about a colab with another James from Woking? Are you a fan of his?
6:50 can't believe you were told not to film, like you said your plane enthusiasts! Thing is when you film boarding any plane you have to be careful or it's just that some don't mind the filming and some do.
Yesss!!
Plz do a trip report in Tobago
I live about 30 mins away from humberside airport
Greenhouses for all the Dutch flowers I guess ?
My mom came in and said....What did he just say? I said.... Fockerd .....she thought something else....LOL....my mom thinks you're adorable and likes your accent.
hahahaha
No filming in the dark FFS! Security gone mad
I agree the people filming are JUST enthusiasts 🤷♂️
I would love to see "No Filming Allowed out here" guy actually show this "rule" in writing.
I'm not the only one who touches the plain lol
Like the furniture.
Try contacting the Airside Operations Manager just to make sure it is ok .
Pete B Whoops, our replies crossed! Thanks for taking the time to explain btw - appreciate informative comments 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
MD11 my best winglet.
Excellent choice!
KLM of course
Hi awesome people
