I would recommend not to buy this there is a problem with the newer units. Check in my Amazon store below the video for the Autel unit.
8:45 ...its a 1998-2002 Accord??...thats an 8th gen Accord...2008-2012...that confused me alil..everything else👌
good video but can you add more info on why? for this brand the cheapest is like $600.
does the CK100 program 2007 Nissan Frontiers?
Thank you for the video.
Can you please tell us whats wrong with the newer units ? Thank you !
Hey Jimthecarguy, I Love watching your Videos U seem like a really nice guy and know your trade. I need to Program a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe Spare Key. Will the CK-100 do it, if not what Cheap Programmer will? Thank You.
doesn't the $560 Autel unit defeat the purpose of saving money? I ordered 2 keys cut online for my 03 Accord they work the ignition and remotes are programmed but won't pass the immobilizer. Honda dealer says they will only program genuine Honda keys so am I out $200? I'll spend $100 for a tool if it works since I have 2 hondas.
Both keys broke lost chip of both keys. Went to dealership he was not a happy or nice man. He said it would be tomorrow if they could get to it. Saw this video and Very Grateful for you!!!!!!!! I believe when a dealer see a woman come in. Well let’s just say arm and leg. Since I’m not able to afford the amount he told me I decided to see what’s on RUclips!!! Thank you Jim!!!! For next going to find that thing to do it myself although you did not say the name of the Machine.
I went through 4 different videos and yours was the best. My car now locks because of your instructions. I’m thank you!
Glad it helped
I programmed 2 of my cars with a back up key each today and I have saved myself $200 thanks to Jim the man.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this info. I managed to salvage an old fob that I thought didn't work anymore (when I bought a new key years ago I was not told about needing the old fob reprogrammed so I just assumed it had stopped working when I tried it a few years later ) I used the technique you showed but on a Honda Civic 2008 model and it worked fine. On the 4th try of the turn-ignition-click-lock cycle, the door lock didn't trigger as in your video but my old fob did work after that anyway.
Thanks so much Jim. A so called professional locksmith couldn't program the key fob. I was able to do it with this video.
Best video ever!! Thank you for taking the time and walking me thru this very easy process! I was a little skeptical on the reprogrammer before buying it, but it worked excellent! Thank you sir.
Thank you for your educational and insightful video Mr. Jim. I was going to see if I could trouble you for the link to the tool. I tried searching for it high and low but no success. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration regarding this matter. I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
That's going to be great help for Honda owners. Very well explained Jim.
Yes I was surprised how well it worked. This tool also work on all makes and models.
@@jimthecarguy do you see Honda Prelude 1997-2001 on the list for Honda?? Very well done video!
This is a video I've been waiting for. I have seen these but i was always skeptical if they worked as promised. Now I will seriously consider one. Thanks Jim!
I only used it on 2 Honda's but it worked perfectly. You can't go wrong for the price
I would never use them on FORD cars. This tool has messed up 2 clusters. So I stay away from them. Besides that, it works on most cars. It's a spotty coverage for other car makers
Wow. So a video from 2 years ago but covers accords that are way beyond that. Makes sense
Thanks for watching.
Good Video Jim, only thing is i couldnt see the screen due to reflection of light. Pls do another video of the same making sure the screen is clearly visible. My next question is if you lose the remote that locks/unlocks, how do you programme a new one? Any advice? Can we use this same tool for it? Thanks!
Jim thank you for the video, it seems that the newest version is not working well and I don't find it listed on your Amazon page either, so I will not buy. But I am confused, if you have the broken smart key and only the metal key portion broken off, why would you not just open the old key fob and transfer the squarish circuit board to the new key? Since it is the circuit part that is married to the key and to the car, and of course get the key cut. Thank you
@Jimthecarguy I just bought a new ignition switch that came with new keys would this work to program the new keys? Thanks for the help it’s a 2006!Honda Crv
Hi, quick question, if the key does not want to program to unlock and lock doors, what can be the issue? i was able to program the key to start the vehicle. i know i have fuses out but its just for the rear windows not to be used because of the rail of the widow needs to be changed.
P.S. thanks alot for the video, it was a great help.
Great explanation, very good insight on how to do this yourself. The dealers in Australia will charge up to $500 to do this job, absolute robbery.
Can you post a link to the programming unit? I was able to program a new fob but when I opened the door to get out the alarm went off! I had to pull the horn fuse, then I seen a comment on a different video that said to use the key in the manual lock on the door. That worked but now the new fob doesn't work. I then tried to start and go with the original but having the newly coded fob in the car set the alarm off again on my 2004 Honda Accord V6 EX-L. I need this computer scanner please. Great video, ty so much!
Excellent Mechanic! Perfect advice, Honest Abe - not a ripoff! Thank you!!!
Tried two vids before this - this one worked - the difference being Jim points out that you make 3 key presses at the end.
Thanks for watching
It would be great if you could see the prompts / text on the scanner device. Unfortunately, the camera that filmed this video did not capture that information.
It would be nice to know the name of the tool and have a link to it in the show more tab. If you replace the computer can you then reprogram the key to the replaced computer?
I'll look into the tool. I have a 1999 Odyssey with 190k miles with a fried Computer. I can get a used computer for about $75 bucks and maybe this tool. Is the tool also a code reader? Thanks for the video I'll look into the tool.
Hey Jim I am trying to buy a ck 100 will it work on my Honda ridgeline 2008 I really need new keys by the way really good video!!!!
Thanks for the much needed video❤️
You’re welcome 😊
Very nice video, I was just replacing a battery on my honda accord 09 and was curious to see your video i think a learn how to do it with your detail instructions thank you.
Is it possible to program a new key fob without that machine?
Hey Jim, thank you for this video. What is the difference between using that programming device versus turning the car on and off 5x and pressing the lock button like these other you tubers are doing?
He's programming the immobilizer, what you see being programmed elsewhere is just the lock and unlock which he also does at the beginning of the video.
Great video! Anyway to get a full list of cars that the unit works with?
So this only works when you have the keys? i had a lock smith show up and use this tool on my 98 accord. it wouldnt connect and work. i did not have the original key. an the tool said it would delete only.
My old key fob doest work. It's about to snap, similar to the one you described in your video. Would I go through same process using the lock on the door? I've tried and so far nothing is working.
I have one and it has worked flawlessly programming several FOB's
RioSul50
Thank you for stopping by the shop and your input
May I ask the make and model of the programmer please?
I would recommend not buying this tool. The older one was great but the newer one is garbage. If you look in my Amazon store you will see other options
Hi, JIm. Great show. My second fob key has a broken fob holder: key is fine. Fob buttons all function. Can I just transfer the working internalfob parts over to a Honda blank, and have a locksmith cut the metal key surface?
I'd like to know as well.
My key cover broke (the black casing/shell). I want to transfer the new key casing into my current key.

I just did program 2 keys on my Chrysler Town and Country 2012. It works, no BS..
Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe.
Hi Jim,
First I want to say I’m a big fan of your videos, very informative. I also wanted to ask if you could help me out with this issue since I can’t seem to figure out what it could be. I have a 2012 Accord with 83k miles. I had rotors, break pads, and wheel bearing/hub recently replaced. It still makes this wheezing noise as I pick up speed. The car does not shake though. Any suggestions?
Hello, Jim, this is a terrific video. Definitely buying this system.
Jim I just had two new keys cut at the locksmith, but not programmed. I have a 2008 Honda Civic, I tried to program both keys so the doors lock and unlock, but this doesn't work for me. I ordered the programmer, will arrive in two days. Will this then after being programmed lock and unlock my vehicle? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
Wen you doe the key proces 4 time locked thats not the only ting to doe ,you still have to register the key?
Good video Jim, I tried to do more than one key for my vehicle but it appears that once four keys are programmed, it does not overwrite the old keys. Any idea on how to erase an old key so that I can add a new key? Thanks
Some vehicles may only allow 2 keys programmed to the car. Some 3. And some up to 4. If one of the original keys stopped working. You will probably have to wipe out all the keys. Then reprogram up to 4 keys
Do you have a Video on how to program a keyless remote (2015 Honda Accord Hybrid does not have a key ignition switch but only a push button).
I just bought a new set of keys on Amazon and took them to a local car key/locksmith guy. Just found him on Craigslist and verified his shop on google maps. He cut the key, programmed it, as well as programmed the transponder that came in the new key. Worked beautifully. Starts car, locks, unlocks, opens trunks all better than crappy Honda manufacture key. Dealership was going to charge me $90 for a new key and $140 to program and get it to start car. Mofos. Local guy charged me $70 to cut, program fob, and program transponder. Set of keys from Amazon was like $19. Yup. Fuck the dealership.
My car is a 2008 Honda Accord.
Hi Jim I got just a question? My nice brought a 2006 infinity g35 & she just got only one remote key the key is all damage, I get 4 more remote key from eBay it can be programmed too or you need a professional locksmith????
There is not a link for the chip programming tool you used.
Thanks.I use the Foxwell 530 to program my Honda key fob today. Pretty easy with your help.
Glad it helped
I have a 2015 Honda Accord exl coupe.. what do I need to program a new key fob? Please and thank u.. let me know soon as you can PLEASE
@@sims677ify You are going to need to by Foxwell530 for Honda Vehicles. You have to program key with this scan tool.
@@theknow7557 thank you so much
So how would you use this unit to reprogram an existing working key that lost connection with the ecm? I have the rare situation where your battery dies and the ecm loses the code. How can I utilize this scan tool in order for the ecm to relearn the same key transponder?
That is a nice tool to have and if I had the newer vehicles with the new keys for them, I would want one of those tools around.
I was very surprised how well it worked.Remember the days when you could get a key made for 2 or 3 dollars? Thanks for watching
Thank you for the video. I have lost the key with no spare. I called my local Honda and they said $75 for the key and $140 to program it. You had the old key fob, I’m confused did you have to have that old key fob? The machine seemed great.
The old fob is just an extra. He didn't need to program it. But since he was getting a whole new key with the fob integrated, he decided to program both. Like most people here said, he could've bought a key shell, that comes with the mechanical key part attached and uncut, then just pass the fob and immobilizer chip to it, cut the key and the car would start since that keys immobilizer chip and remote were already programmed to the car. Would've been cheaper than buying a new key and now having an extra fob that doesn't have the mechanical part. But to each their own. And yes, if ur original key opened the driver door, ignition switch and trunk, buying the key from the dealer ALREADY CUT(they have the original cut of ur key in their system and can cut it for u FREE OF CHARGE), this tool would program the new key and you would be able to start ur car. 😁
Thanks Jim for helping me out great video.
Glad to help
Do you have to erase all keys in order to program new keys? I have the same machine and it's not programming my 2013 honda accord is doing everything you're showing on your video but at the end it says no key loaded. any advice. thanks
To be very honest there has been a problem with this machine . For some reason it will not work on all cars.
@@jimthecarguy thanks.
The dealers are out of control with what they charge for this service! Had it not been for their greed, this product may have never been needed. Thanks for showing us this tool, how much does it usually cost to have a key cut at a locksmith?
Hi Jim very good presentation to the point ,Jim can I go on line to get updates for the CK 100 programmer and is there a fee?
I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching
I have a 07 Honda civic my key fell apart and I lost the insides I have a spare key that's cut to the car but not programmed....I tried doing the programming step to at least have my spare lock and unlock but it didn't work. Would the key fob programming unit still work for me?
For a 2004 honda accord ex v6 4dr. They say you can program 4 immoblizer chips and only 3 remote door openers? Is that correct? I have the valet key and two combo/remote keys. So I could program one more combo/remote and that's the max I guess????? Any responses would be appreciated before I try to setup another key. Why...you ask, because one key is loose and will probably break at some point.
What’s the name of that cumputer programmer thanks
Hi Jim, will this procedure work if I replaced the ignition switch because it gave out?
is it programming the metal key part or is it programming the chip? bc i lost the chip bc my key thing broke but ima gonna but the protector fob case whatever it’s called and keep the same key and battery JUST new chip
please let me know
Hey Jim a had an issue with my key the green light key is on on the dashboard do I need to buy an extra key or can I reprogram the old key any help will be appreciated thank you
Can u put link to this tool in the description?
What's that key programer called
I have a 2005 Honda pilot that I need to program it. What's the name and model of that key programer.
Jimmy nice work looking forward to better time with you plz I need your advice with key programming tool selection
@5:56 what about my second blank key? you described only programming the first blank remote (I want total 1 old plus 2 new keys).
I'm a locksmith that machine is good for some hondas but works for every toyota. It will not do push to start ignitions
Thanks Jim.Is this the same for a 2007 Honda Ridgeline?
Whats the name of the tool you use from the website
Do you know if it will work on a 2006 Accord? I do wish to ask, since I have programmed a key for my Buick without the little machine, if you have actually tried the steps without using the machine? I mean it seemed like the machine walked you through the steps, so it makes me wonder if you had followed the steps without using the machine, would it have worked do you think? I ask because the steps you took were the same that I took to program my new Buick LeSabre key, but I didn't use a machine. With all due respect sir, thank you for a great channel!
Did you ever find the answer to you Q?
If it was a newer Buick, usually 2008 and up. You can program extra keys as long as u have one working key. Specially in newer GM cars. For Honda's, it depends. They let you program a new key to start the car only if u have 2 working keys. Ford let's you do this and so do most manufacturers. Except of course the expensive models, Audi/BMW/Mecedes/etc. But if you have only one key, this tool can def let you program keys for a 2006 Honda Accord. Very easily and instructions are included. Good luck!
@@augustusmb Replied to original poster. :)
@@ThEmEsSiAh187-CFGeorge What the heck is the name of the tool? Who makes it, I can't find it on that website. Why is the name of the flipping tool such a mystery?
BigFoot Bubba the tool in this video is the cheap CK100. You can find it on eBay for like $100, I think. It will do most cars. It’s a trial and error thing though. But it works perfect for this 2006 Honda. Good luck!
Hi
I just spent $70 and had 2 keys cut and programed for my 2010 Honda Accord. Main Locks in Hackensack NJ.
Wow that is a great price. Thanks for your input
I have a problem" Seed not recognized" and "no loaded key repeat procedure".
For Honda CRV 2007
I did 50 times. Still won’t work.
I have an already programmed key I want to add another.

shit, I have 07 honda crv also. wondering if this works.
How would I program my key if it’s the same key from before just with a different fob ??

Would you have a video on how to buy a replacement 2016 key fob with programming for a 2016 Honda Pilot. I thought I was going to have to buy a new key from Honda and was sticker shocked. Fortunately I found the lost key but started to think about if I should some day
need to buy one.
These tools are not bad if they can really deliver, that is get the jobs done but do you know if this can program the keys of newer vehicles like the 2018 s and the 2019 s. Thanks.
You may not want to buy this because there is a problem with some of the units. Check into the Autel unit
I have just successfully programmed 2013 Honda Accord in one pass.
The only thing is the new remote head key works for lock/unlock doors
but it doesn't open a trunk just like the original does. Any idea?

hi jim got 2016 honda crv & tire presure light comes on do we need tire sensors or do it the old fashioned way what does it cost for one sensors
Hi Jim: don't you think this will work for my 2013 Toyota Tacoma? What I have check the CK-100 only use for the older model of Car and Truck. I check the latest Model they didn't show any details what year to what year?.
Sorry I'm not sure.
What if I lost all keys does it have an all keys lost option
Or do I need an already program key, to program a new key
U need to make a new key by removing the ignition.. Then bring it to the locksmith. Then after that program it.. Click all lost key
I had two keys. One key already unlocked doors and started the car. The other key started the car but wouldn't unlock doors. Using just the procedure described in this video (but without the $105.00 reader) I was able to program the second key to also unlock doors. It's a bit of a mystery because just after the procedure, I was not able to unlock with either key. Then a half hour later, when I went out to the car to try something else, both keys allowed me to unlock my doors and I never had to do any other procedure.
Jim great video but can't see the screen on your 104.00 tool.............Jim the car guy has a dead battery????
Hahaha
Loved you're clear instructions
Is there some way to simply remove the immobilizer from my old scrap car?
I see in recent comment from about week ago you now don't recommend this product. Is there something newer from different company you would recommend and price? Also, I see this unit you used shows it has tokens, I take it that these tokens limit number of uses, and then one has to send back to company to have them do something to allow more if I am reading into what a token is correctly? Does this unit limit amount of times it can be used by these tokens? Thanks
Check into the Autel units. Thanks for watching.
i got a key program like your car everything working start engine and it die now i need computer can you tell me where to get your computer at

It will. Honda's will always erase all keys first. Then add all of them 1 by 1. You should be fine
hello, I should program a new key that is not programmed for my 97 honda civic, can I use this tool?
what year is it good till and what cars does it work on? great video
I only used it 2 times. One was the 2010 Accord and the other was a 2008 Honda CRV but it says it will work on many different makes and models.
Will that one works on Holden vy SS 2 commodore?
Hi jim, Besides the key programmer do I need an adapter in order to plug in the programmer? If so do you know where I can order it?
Does this work for a 7th Gen Accord? I moved my spare key to new housing but I threw the old one and lost the transponder chip as I didn't know about them. I can buy one from eBay which hasn't been programmed though.
how much locksmith to cut the key? My local honda will not cut 3rd party key
Hey Jim. What if i had to change out old ignition for a new one? Problem is i dont have an already programmed key to use in new ignition to go thru the steps that you did. I only have the new keys that cam with new ignition
Should be able to do it. When programming keys to Honda's, it will always erase all keys first, then program all the keys back. So it should work if you replaced the ignition with fresh new keys.
@@ThEmEsSiAh187-CFGeorge So if you replace the computer it will program the key to it, correct? And what is the name of this tool?

I have one key fob that works and the other one does not. I bought another key on Amazon to use the guts out of it to hopefully use the inside on the old key. Now it needs to be reprogrammed. There are a few questions before I reprogram the keys. 1, when I reprogram the keys will they both need to be paired with the car again....ie, with the device you used at the end? And 2, when you are reprogramming more than one fob do you go through the steps with turning off, pushing buttons, etc. on both keys at the same time. Or is it enough to just have them all in the car?
Also, both keys will start and run the car at this point. Just one of the fobs has buttons that are no longer working. But it starts the car normally.
If both keys still start the car you do not need this tool. You can get a new a new fob and program that. Thanks for watching
