This is without doubt the greatest video out there on you RUclips. I have seen just about all of the so called professional teachers on you tube and none of them explain the importance of balance in the golf swing like Brad. I have since watched every one of his videos several times to get his moves into my own swing and have never ever hit the ball so good. Thanks heaps mate and look forward to more great lessons from you. Aussies seem to put across their points of the game better than most of the coaches out there.
I like the idea of working down the right leg, at the start of the downswing. This produces external rotation, ie the Sam Snead Quat and leads to all the good stuff, ie lateral side bend, lag, forward shaft lean etc. This move is the missing piece of the jigsaw, from most amateur swings, as well as modern teaching methods!!!!
Funny how I've spent thousands dollars on golf lessons and read numerous books for improvement, yet nobody really focuses on footwork???? Yes, grip, stance and posture, swing plane etc. are all important but the lower body leads the downswing. Therefore, per this great video, the footwork starts the downswing and is the key to balance, stability, resistance, control. Thank You for bringing more focus to probably the most important part of performing a correct movement. Why a lot of teaching pros ignore this is beyond me?
Good stuff. I agree completely with your ideas on balance. Our bodies know when we are in balance. Some swing doctors seem to want to put people in uncomfortable positions at setup and take away then the student and couch can't understand why they can't make a proper down swing and hit the ball.
Good video, as I say to students If you get out of balance your swing deteriorates as you can not mult task in a swing ie be out of balance and swing a golf club.I beleive that may be what Mr Hogan meant by The secret is in the dirt, your feet are the only things touching the dirt.
After years of trying work this out: I have deduced, all good players have good balance( weight transfer ) the poorer the golfer has poor weight transfer. This so much overlooked by so called golf PROFESSIONALS!
HI bradley i've been trying to contact you by your web page but it wont let me send the message. (it kinda look that it is not finished yet). I'm interested on knowing if you give lessons in the united states or in Australia.
Website is fine. You are probably not putting in the code it asks for to send the message. You will find USA lessons info under the private lessons tab

Ahhh Bradley.. you never disappoint.
Great explanation of the goal of good footwork! I will be referencing this video when teaching kids in the future. Thanks!
Great video with simple instruction. 👍
