  • Faber-Castell’s Pitt Artist Pen has been the favorite artist quality pen for almost a decade; with its versatility and variety of nibs and colors, it’s not hard to see why. Available in 60 colors, six metallics, and 11 different nib sizes, we encourage you to push the pen’s creative limits and discover what you can do with your art.
    Unlike most markers, the Pitt Artist Pen is made with India Ink; based on pigments and water. The use of India Ink makes our pens permanent and odorless with rich pigment and a high lightfastness rating. Almost any type of paper is suitable to use, and the ink will not bleed through.
    Balance is key; a phrase nothing short of cliché but true. This could especially be applied to our world of art and creativity. There is a lot to learn from the artistic pioneers of our past; the reasons why art is the way it is today. While we appreciate the foundation of art, we must also embrace the future and continue to push boundaries with the tools and the media we use; balance! With the belief in balance in mind, we created the Pitt Artist Pen; a modernized spin on the historically timeless medium that is ink.
    Our pens are used daily by artists worldwide for illustrations, fashion design, life drawings, portraits, sequential art and canvas paintings. The variety of nib sizes and the quality of the pen make it perfect for precise work but can also be used in an experimental way. Since the colors are transparent, they can easily be mixed to create even bolder color variations and a larger range of color. Add water to the equation and the Pitt Artist Pen takes on a new form of creativity. To further its functionality, our pen is a part of our unique color matching system, made to mix perfectly with other media.
    With vibrant colors flowing in precise, uniform lines or highly expressive strokes; Pitt Artist Pens are perfect for any style of art. Whether it’s hand lettering, bullet journaling, or creating a piece with mixed media, Faber-Castell has brought together all the advantages of drawing with India Ink in a modern and uncomplicated pen.
    Faber-Castell is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality products for writing, drawing, coloring, and creative design- a companion for life!

    I’ve been using them for ta long time, their colours are so appealing and natural, but their nibs are as fragile as my mental state during this pandemic. And they are pricey.
    I love them, but once i’m finished with remains, ill try to switch to kois paired with Faber’s glorious polychromous pencils.
    Until kois, nothing worked as great with my favorite sketchbooks though :)

    I have the set of 4 PITT pens (S, F, M, B) and after 1 week the B is fading. Maybe it is because I've tried it on a skin as well but still weird. Don't know how to fix it.

    What happened to my comment? Anyway, I love these pens. I like the writing ones that come in different colors. I'm an illustrator and also use them in my Bullet journal.

    I wana try bullet journaling and calligraphy so kindly suggest me what type of nib should I buy in these pens

      tasleema khan for brush calligraphy i use the brush/soft brush pen (i find that the smaller nib is a bit easier to use, but it still takes some practice), and i use the fine or medium pen to write tasks/daily spreads and things like that. when i bought these pens they came in a package of 5, so if you buy them you’re pretty much set up and everything. sorry for replying on a month old comment but i hope this could still be helpful lol

      Hi Tasleema! Yes, we agree, brush and soft brush are excellent for calligraphy (we also have a chisel nib that's great for beginners!), and superfine and the bullet 1.5mm nib are great for bullet journaling! We have some great sets to help get your started!

    Can these be used on fabric for a project that will be washed?

    • @fabercastellusa
      @fabercastellusa  3 года назад

      Hi Terri! They are not fabric markers. Any art created on fabric with a Pitt Artist Pen should not be laundered. All art materials should be tested on small sample pieces to make sure you are achieving your desired results.

    Can I write the letters on the woollen thread by this Pitt pen ?

    • @fabercastellusa
      @fabercastellusa  2 года назад

      Raja Divya - Pitt Artist Pens can be used on fabrics. The India ink is permanent on porous surfaces once dried. When using on fabric however, the piece should not be laundered. It is not considered a “fabric” marker. We recommend testing small sample pieces to make sure you are achieving your desired results.

    Please, could you tell me what does PITT mean ? Is it an abreviation ? Thank you !

    • @fabercastellusa
      @fabercastellusa  4 года назад +12

      The name "Pitt" is a pseudonym protected by Faber-Castell. It derives from the Italian word "pittore" (artist). The name is over 100 years old (Faber-Castell first used it in 1907).
