In fact, I have received "gifts" from another magpie. At my previous place of residence, I fed a magpie for over seven years. Eventually, small colorful objects and plastic figures started to appear (especially many soda caps actually) which I first thought some children had thrown up on the balcony. But it lasted over several years. I eventually realized that it was the magpie that gave me gifts. Always colorful little plastic objects. It became so tame that it sat with me on the balcony, and pitying the poor magpie that ventured nearby, they were quickly put in place and chased.

Magpies are different. They're intelligent and social enough that they are able to make friends of other species, using them to get food usually. And at the same time, they stick with their flock and help each other as well. Pretty much all corvids are like this. Super intelligent birds.
It has eaten fermented fruit or berries. When the berries or fruit have been frozen, a fermentation process starts which causes the fruit to contain alcohol.
It was obvious by observing it, a typical behavior of alcohol poisoning after eating fermented fruit or berries. Gets drunk quickly and relatively quickly sober again. It happens relatively often at that time of year. Fruit and berries freeze in the cold, then there is a period of warmer temperatures again, so that the food thaws and begins to ferment so that alcohol is formed.

What fermented fruit does to a mf
How did it even get drunk?
