You are handling this all so well!! My fluid was 4.5 at 37 weeks so I got told to go straight to the hospital and I burst into tears!! I can’t believe you didn’t cry at that appointment - you are one strong momma!
I was scheduled for an induction on 5/15 last year (baby was due 5/18). I ended up going into labor on 5/9 and he came 5/10. Babies come when babies come and knowing my son now, he was going to come when HE wanted to come! 😂 Just relax and enjoy these last few days/moments before baby boy arrives... your world's going to change in a (good, but different) way like you've never experienced! Praying for a safe delivery!
I have low fluid as well, my doctor has told me that I am on the normal/abnormal line. I am 34 weeks currently. I am trying to drink lots of water. It's very nerve-racking when you are told after your ultrasound to head to the doctor's office to be monitored (it's happened 2 times for me so far). On a positive note, my baby boy is happy and moves a lot. I am due in June. Stay strong mama!
That sounds so much like my second baby. I was monitored by Maternal Fetal Medicine (for high risk) at the end of my pregnancy just because I am 35. They found baby's fluid level to be low at 36 wks it was at 6 then at 37 wks it went up a bit to 6.5 but at my 38 wk appt baby's fluid dropped below 5. They sent me directly to labor an delivery for an induction. During my induction I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia even though I didn't experience any symptoms during my pregnancy and all urine protein checks were normal. They had to put me on magnesium and labetalol for high blood pressure. These medications slowed my contractions. When it finally came time to push I only had one contraction then they stopped. I was so worried that they would emergency C-section me. So I pushed him out without contractions. He was perfect but the blood pressure medications gave him low blood sugar. So he was sent to the NICU for 24hrs to stabilize his blood sugar. He struggled to breastfeed at first being premature and only 5 lbs. But now he is 4 mths, nurses like a champ and is the chubbiest healthy baby. Every mama and baby have a unique story as to how they finish their journey together. All that matters in the end is both mama and baby are happy and healthy. Hang in there mama you are stronger than you know!
All three of my kids were induced, two after my water broke (one was a premie, the other one the labor didn't progress), one before water broke (dr concerned about baby being too big so induced 10 days early). The first dose of pitocin was just the needed kick my body to get the ball rolling, I didn't get a C-section for any of them. Don't be scared to be an advocate for yourself and baby. The less intervention the better but sometimes there is no choice.
So lucky they checked afterwards. I was also 38 weeks when they saw i had low amniotic fluid and they immediately said that im risking my babys life if i wasn't induced right away. That freaked me out so i was induced an hour later and it took another 30 to get baby out. Next time i will definitely ask for more tests and wait longer. It was 9am and i hadn't drank anything thst day
Take it day by day and don’t stress too much!! I’m almost 35 weeks and might have to be induced but I also have two kids so I would be relieved if it were a bit scheduled. Hope you’re resting as much as you can!! Getting close to meeting your little one
I was induced last Wednesday for my twins at 38 weeks and that started out well. The membrane sweep is definitely no joke! Probably the worst part of getting things going. We labored for 15 hours, had to wear a mask the whole time during the 3 hours of pushing, and ended up needing a C Section because baby boy was stuck in my pelvis. They both came out healthy and we’re so happy they’re here now! Best of luck when you deliver yours! 💕
I was induced at 39 weeks with my first son because he was on record to be big. He ended up being 8lbs 2.5 oz. My second son gave us problems because he was breech then he wasn’t then he was. I ended up having a c section on 4/17 due to him being breech...thankfully I did because he was 9 lbs 5 oz. Babies have minds of their own and don’t worry momma everything will be fine. Sometimes things don’t go according to plan but it’s all worth it in the end❤️❤️❤️
I've been watching your journey for about a month. I'm currently 37 weeks, make me happy watching your videos. It feels nice knowing I'm not the only one going through pregnancy during this pandemic. I wish you best luck and that you and your baby are healthy😊.
You're so lucky your husband was able to come to the ultrasound! My husband hasn't been able to come to any and they wouldn't let him in our 20wk scan today either 😥
Don't worry trust your body, trust your medical team and trust God. I was due on may 25 but had low fluid and at my 37 week appointment I was induced my baby is now 6 days old. I didn't have any other complications with my son but did loose a bit more blood than usual and got a UTI in the process but my son is healthy and I am happy.
I was induced with my daughter and delivered her at exactly 37 weeks. She passed the stress test. But was too low on fluid for them to measure. Doctor said they think it was the placenta not working as well anymore. She's now a healthy actice 7 year old. Prayers for mommy and baby boy 💙
Hey Hon! I'm in a similar boat On Friday at my 38 week appointment I was told I will be induced before 40 weeks (May 22nd due date) I am hoping to go naturally this week before Friday and if not then I will be induced sometime over the weekend or next week which is crazy! I hope whatever happens you are healthy and baby boy is healthy!
Hey Marissa I hope the induction goes well I’ve been following you throughout your whole journey I am been induced now to at 39 weeks ( Tuesday 26th May) due to Diebetes I am 37 weeks today. Wishing you all the best not long until we get our babies xx
Oh boy I wish you luck with everything! I’m having the opposite problem, I have too much fluid my levels are at 34 cm and I’m 34 weeks along.. they are worried I’ll go into preterm labor. Everything will be fine! ❤️💕
U want to have the induction wish I had the choice with my youngest. My internal fetal medicine dr said I needed to have her early like soon and my actual obgyn wouldnt listen n my daughter almost died. My placenta ruptured and my baby was born not breathing now shes epileptic
Don't stress a tonne about the low fluid - it is important to keep an eye on, but there is a good margin for error on ultrasound. My first had low fluid close to term, but after delivery the placenta can easily be found to be perfectly fine (my case with my first). Also, induction actually doesn't increase risk for c-section in first-time mothers; Mama Doctor Jones (OB/GYN) here on RUclips discussed a recent (2018?) research paper showing that this widely-held belief isn't supported by scientific evidence. 🙂
Im a lil nervous, trusting in God. I had my US and im 36 weeks, ammniotic fluid is measuring 4.2cm. I haven't recieved a response about my results so its a waiting game.
I’m 34 weeks and my doctor told me I’m a little be low in fluid he recommended me drinking more water at least 10 to 12 cups a day and coconut water as well I how it helps since I been drinking water non stops I’m constantly in the bathroom sucks but I think is working try it
You are so lucky to have your birthing partner with you during your ultrasounds... here in the UK because of the virus you are not allowed to have anyone with you ... so the last two growth scans I had I had to have them all by myself :( ... I am currently 34 weeks and we don’t know if birthing partners are allowed during birth I really hope you are ok and things go well with you and the baby. Love from UK
He hasn't been able to come with me to any other appointments but my doctor allows husbands to come to ultrasounds which is so nice and definitely not the norm but I'm so so grateful!
Marissa Lyda it is so nice ... I was induced with my first daughter at 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I didn’t like the process .. I suppose it was because they broke my waters as I was already 3cm dilated and within 20 minutes started to have contractions. But at the end of it I had my daughter so it was worth it... I really wish you luck it’s not easy being pregnant
I had many membrane sweeps...they weren't massively painful just uncomfortable and i felt a bit queasy which was prolly more nerves than anything. I wonder why yours was so painful?
You are handling this all so well!! My fluid was 4.5 at 37 weeks so I got told to go straight to the hospital and I burst into tears!! I can’t believe you didn’t cry at that appointment - you are one strong momma!
I was induced due to low fluid at 39 weeks. Everything turned out perfectly with my son. Sending positive thoughts!
How much fluid do u have at 39 weeks that you can say u are already low in fluid?

I was induced 3 days before my due date because my fluid was low. Luckily I delivered naturally with no medication, no epidural 💪🏾
Low means how much fluid u have at that time
What was the entire procedure of labor induction?

You're so lucky your husband was able to come to the ultrasound! My husband hasn't been able to come to any and they wouldn't let him in our 20wk scan today either 😥
Same! The last appointment my husband went to was the very beginning of March! I’m so over it! Smh

So crazy watching this! I was induced on the Saturday 9th 2020 and my son was born the next day. Brings back tons on memories! X
