As a recent “discoverer” of your channel, thought I’d listen to this old post. It’s eye-opening, because it really does bear witness to the power of Google and social media to play tricks with our minds and also scare the living daylights out of us (me too being one of these humans). Tamer Khattab yes it went down a little, it’s still larger than any other ones but my doctor says it’s just the way it is. I’ve come to accept it for now. 😅

@@reshamsayyed2113 thank you for asking! I’m better but the lymph node is still a bit swollen and it’s strange because it seems to bother me more when I’m eating bad and processed foods. When I’m eating clean and healthy I don’t noticed it and it seems to reduce in size. I will eventually get it checked. Thank you for asking your so sweet!

Just subbed. Thank you for posting this. Dealing with a lymph node issue myself. Bloodwork fine and seen two docs both said it’s 100% fine (it’s actually normal size just a bit bigger than other side). I start therapy for my health anxiety soon. This year I’ve convinced myself I’ve had a heart attack, kidney failure, brain tumor, skin cancer and now lymphoma.
I feel for you. Have gone through each of them. I'm back to lymphoma

Omg thank you so much for sharing this makes me feel so much better am going through the same thing right know I have a Lymph node on my neck I went to the doctor they just told me it’ll go away in awhile just it’s been 3 weeks it’s driving me crazy I called the doctor again he told be to get an ultra sound done am convinced I have lymphoma my health anxiety it’s so bad I was going through the same thing as you last month I thought I had a brain tumour because of doctor goggle but I survied that and know I have a Lymph node the size of a pea but I think I have lymphoma because of goggle

I'm so glad i found your channel! I have the same issues like yours it started when i have my first baby. Im having a huge health anxiety fear of dying leaving my child alone. Im crying every night. I also noticed a swollen lymph nodes in my neck right side and one at the back of my neck haven't gone to any doctors im scared i have this for like a month now feels like whenever i touch it by just starring at it, it becomes larger than it was but sometimes it feels like its not. My god. I don't know what to do. Im tired of this lot of thoughts in my mind 😭 I wanted to stop searching on google but i can't huhu

Doctors say it’s just swollen nothin else but these are not going from 9 months ! 😭 constantly feelin them give me more anxiety can’t sleep !!

Glad i found this. i;m male, 50 and found two swollen lymph nodes on the right of my groin a few weeks ago. I've had bloods done, drs examination and nothing is coming back as a red flag. i'm not having any other symptoms. Again, i'm thinking lymphoma after googling it. I'm at the point of going private to get the peace of mind from it. I'm under a lot of stress at the moment and recently had a tooth abscess root canal procedure. I'm the same with the googling. It's hard to ignore it.
Settled a good bit now, thanks. I think it's re assuring that everything came back clear. Now it's a matter of keeping focused on other things and being less anxious about health issues. I guess the health perspective comes in with the overall general anxiety.
I've had a very similar journey. Once my mother was diagnosed with GBM brain cancer I started getting the groinal lymph nodes. Ever since she's passed they've only gotten worse
😢☹️😢 why this cancer is taking peoples lifes we cannot live because of cancer. Health anxiety and all are because of this cancer. The cancer should be stopped
If it’s not one thing it’s another with anxiety. I have been like this for nearly 20 years. Panic attacks have even affected my nervous system and blood pressure. Too much over thinking. The internet is the devil in disguise. Be careful how you use it. Eat well stay well
omg I feel the same way. I had swelling on my legs, and fingers cracking and some pain, took blood tests and doc said i had some infection. I had untrasound of neck area and I was told I had two lymph nodes. I am doing a lot of googling and it makes me feel horrible. I remembered my cat scrathing me and biting me. Was that the reason for my infection, I still dont know what is the problem. Today my one side of my neck feels a bit swolen. I am so frightened.
I got health anxiety after a real serious health problem. I had a huge brain tumor that went undiagnosed for years and years ( even though I was going to doctors and telling them that something was really wrong) I was told that I had migraines, sinus infections, and was incorrectly diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I finally had a stroke and went to the emergency room and they finally did a mri. I had emergency brain surgery the next day. My scull cut open ( craniotomy) and a long recovery period. My tumor was benign so no further treatment but I had to have mri every year for five years. It’s been seven years now and I have been convinced, like you that I have lymphoma and many other serious health issues. All tests from doctors come back normal but I have tons of symptoms and anxiety all the time. The thing is I have this “ evidence “ of my brain tumor when no one would believe me and it actually turned out I was right and I was, in fact, about to drop dead. How can I possibly recover from anxiety about my health when it was true before? I’m really struggling with this.

Jay Lad Hi Jay! Like you, I also became obsessed and it unfortunately made things worse! I was constantly prodding around and any little lump was sending me into huge panic attacks. I’m wondering if you’ve been to see a doctor and if they have been able to reassure you?
Cherelle Thinks i been trying to do research if stress/anxiety can produce swollen lymph nodes, thanks for this confirmation. Been having deep anxiety for months now and my nodes starts flaring up

Just had a baby myself almost 6 weeks ago and have recently found a swollen lymph node under my jaw, I went to my gp who said its the size of a bean and movable so at the moment she is not concerned, she said to come back in 6 weeks but sooner if it grows and then she will arrange some tests eg bloods and scan, I asked her if she thought it could be something sinister and she said she doesn't know, so at this point I burst into tears she looked at me all shocked and said "you need mental help book with the mental health team on the way out" I'm not even kidding, this was just over a week ago and all I have done is cry, I feel like a crappy mother because I'm up all night crying and asleep half of the day, I cant focus on anything but cancer/lymphoma, I do not understand why the 6 week wait and I'm slowly driving myself crazy, I'm also anemic so I'm putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with lymphoma every single time, I can't stay off Google, but watching these videos really help, 16 years with health anxiety but this time I think I've hit my lowest point, I'm so glad I watched this tonight ❤️

Hi, this sounds so familiar, can’t explain... I’m also a mom, I couldn’t function and take care of my toddler because of the health anxiety. I’ve had an ultrasound and blood work done, went to the doctors again afterwards, and now two months later the lymph node still isn’t gone.
I planned another doctors visit on Wednesday and I want an ultrasound again (I live in a different country now)
All the worries, doubts, not trusting doctors is making me go nuts. It keeps you from enjoying your life, I know exactly what you feel. It’s so hard to explain to others, they don’t understand.
Bionda bvanleijden Hello! Thanks for your comment and I’m really sorry to hear that you’re having worries! It nearly drove me to the brink of insanity! It’s been 18 months and my lymph node is still here so I expect it’s here to stay now. If you don’t mind me asking, did the radiologist tell you the size of the node? When I found out the size of mine it actually really calmed me down since mine was actually a lot smaller than I thought it was!
Cherelle Jordan hello dear. Yes My report states 16,7 mm by 5.8 mm and on the right side I have a similar one which I can’t even feel (must be hidden) and that one is 16,8 mm by 4.4 mm. The report is from the first of November, I went straight to a private clinic, and it’s still there. In the meantime I moved back to my home country - the Netherlands
The doctor in the Netherlands told me not to worry, checked my blood and was ok. I was sent home. But still it’s in the back of my mind... that’s why I made another appointment, planning to get an ultrasound here.
Nothing seems to ease my mind, and it’s always something different as well. I am in contact with a psychologist already, because it doesn’t seem to go away on it’s own.

Well your measurements are great! Lymph nodes aren’t actually considered to be suspicious unless they’re more than 1cm short axis (diameter) and yours are half that so I would take that as some really great news!
I know how worrying it can be. If another ultrasound would put your mind at ease then I say go for it! X

OMG! SAME STORY HERE! I was sure, so many months that I have lymphoma, slow growing, I also asked, my mon, Sister, doughter, husband, close friends, to let me feel their lymph nodes... And was surprised to notice that all of them have The same, or bigger lymph nodes... But I was The only one that was going to all dictors, make blood test, etc etc. I have a friend that is medic and she was The only one, that told me to GO to psihologist, because I Am anxios. AND I've told her, noooo, i'm not... I realy have this swallen node, it's not în my imagination... AFTER TWO years, I realiste that she was right

Thank you so much for your videos! I went to the doctor today for a lymph node I can feel in my left armpit. He felt it & said he didnt think it was anything sinister at all & not to worry - that he thinks it is just a “reactive lymph node” but he said he would refer me for ultrasound to put my mind at rest. Should I be worried😱 does the ultrasound how if its normal or not? Sorry to comment on such an old video, I hope you see this❤
I have swollen something on the back of my neck and my two armpits for 5 months and I can't sleep for 5 months now I'm so scared. I kept going back to my doctor bc I got sick and I was worried bc my lymphocytes count was 14 percent and the normal range is 20-40% but my doctor didnt say anything about it

I’m going through the same thing I have these little bb things in my groin but you can move them around they have been there since I was little I always get in this rut of thinking I have cancer had blood work a few times I have to tell myself if it was something I would know since I’ve had them over 7 years
That’s suppose to be there. Those lymph nodes are suppose to be bigger than the other ones.
I’ve survived several mental illnesses, colon cancer, everything coronary and now? There’s an enlarged node behind my ear and guess what I’m positive that is? This is so draining

HAHAHAHA I hate to laugh but what you said at the end "I've survived lymphoma, I've survived a brain tumour, alzheimers and ALS" is 100% exactly what I have diagnosed myself with too. I found a lymph node in my groin which made me go searching for them everywhere and I found out I had ones in my neck, groin and one in my arm pit that felt like they were 1cm smaller or larger but not by much. I thought I had lymphoma and after all the tests its been 7 months and I am still healthy and fine.. (I still get worried sometimes which is why I am here) I also had diagnosed myself with ALS about a year or two ago cause i had leg pain and numbness but that went away and I have also thought I have had memory issues that were really bad. Also on top of that I have thought I had cirrhosis, intestinal cancer, lyme disease and hepatitis.. I even thought I had Muscular dystrophy because I had upper back pain for a week. All of this sounds funny now but in the moment it is so frightening and real. Apparently my grandpa was the exact same way with thinking he was going to die of something soon (I was shocked to find this out because to me he always seemed calm, in control and very strong. Never saw him show negative emotion) and he lived to 85 super healthy right up to the end. Health anxiety or hypochondria are a very terrible thing...

Currently I am dealing with it . I had lymph node at my neck behind ear and my dad also have same size and same my doctor reassured me that its just swollen lymph nodes and done with blood test all came back normal I am freaking out please help me .....

what is funny s how we become "doctors" we study to the very end 😢 and memorize everything , as if we were students to be doctors... but It is killing us , my started for a swollen lymph too ... finally after yrs I went to the doctor and he told me that I should not worry about any of that ... but i still get worry sometimes , plus I have panick attacts and anxiety 😢 i sometimes I wake up feeling bad , really bad as if i just want to sleep and run crying at the same time , hopefully we all can heal soon ❤
I have health anxiety too. Anytime I go for a colonoscopy, mammogram, or any other screening test I get panic attacks. A few of my lymph nodes behind my left ear are swollen and I feel intense fear
If you want to reduce health anxiety do breathing. It will help you alot.
Is vaccine cause lymphnodes? I've got my rabies vaccine 3rd dose and on the following day ive observed a bean size lymphnodes supravascular nodes...is it normal?

I have consulted with a general medicine doctor.he has said that lymph node of my groin area of Both groin region is swellen.it has been swellen about 2 months.it's not too hard and a little moveable under skin.

Now I have consulted with doctor but he says it's a re active lymph nodes. I have a light fever now I am ok with fever n lymph egg are slowing down
I have a lymph node in my groin area too (specifically left side ,I just noticed about it recently)and what's worse is that it hurts sometimes (like the pain comes and goes)💔 it also radiates to my pelvic area.
I cant help but feel depressed of what it might be, and that it makes me realize that my life is not worth living anymore .. now that I have this...💔 (I really want to get it checked , but I cant afford for a check up...)

I’ve suffer from health anxiety for two years.
I currently have visibly swollen area on my
Left rib. I felt it and it felt like a movable and painless lymph node. It was sensitive the day before. I was about to feel two. I felt some on my right rib as well but this wasn’t as swollen.
I had painful swollen lymph nodes in my armpits they went away kinda… i mean the pain went away, the lymph node is there but very hard for me to find.
I also have some swelling in my Neck, and clavicle. Feels like fluid in a sac and moveable. The one in my clavicle been there a while and my Dr barely touched it and said it was fine. It has not increased in size.
I’m terrified of Lymphoma!
Also, my left hard has been weak occasionally. I had a rash and small rash on my arm. It was very itchy…. It’s healing now.
My issues is I am not sure if with cancer it would just get worse or if it would come and go.
If has more than one lymph nodes at ur neck n under ur ear.. are that’s a normal lymph nodes.. the sizes was not big.. the size around 1 cm only..

I have swollen lymph nodes or atleast I feel them went to the er twice for this 2 different hospitals one said they were alittle swollen maybe an infection n taking meds the other one said I had nothing but I been searching and now I’m thinking I have lymphoma my neck hurts I’m constantly touching it I have lost weight I get head pain along with temple pain and eye pain I get different symptoms all the time and freak out my family think I’m loosing my mind

Your story sounds exactly the same as what I am going through. I have a firm lymph node in the right side of my groin. Went and had blood and an ultrasound. Said the node was just a normal reactive node. I felt better, but then found a whole load of lumps on my lower back, and I mean a load, between 8-10 moveable lumps of all shapes and sizes. I went into a full blown meltdown, literally crying constantly, feeling sick, not sleeping. Went to the doctor and she told me they were lymph nodes and that it was fine (this was not fine for me to hear). I’ve since found out that there are no lymph nodes in that area of the back, so I have no idea what that doctor thought. I’ve been called back to the doctors on Friday, I have absolutely no idea why and I am very nervous. I think the bumps in my back are lipomas because they are quite squishy. I also like yourself, asked my mum if I could feel her back and I found two lumps in the same place as mine that were very similar, so that made me feel better. Fingers crossed I can get a scan on them to find out what is going on. You’re not alone, I’ve been fighting health anxiety for a good few years now, and it really does ruin you when you are in a spiral. I wish you all the best of luck with your mental health, we will get through this!
MissNikNak Hey! Thanks so much for your reply and really sorry to hear that you’re going through this also. It really is terrifying isn’t it. And for some reason Google is a NIGHTMARE when it comes to lymph nodes. However, shotty lymph nodes (hard permanent lymph nodes) are very common in the groin area and researching that has since calmed me down. Like you, I also went looking for more once I found the one in my groin. I found 3 in my neck, one near my collarbone which scared the living crap out of me, one behind my ear and one on my skull. I had a complete breakdown and went back to the doctor and demanded a biopsy. He refused and told me that because I’m thin I can just feel every lump and bump. This was about six months ago and none of the lumps have grown. Lipomas are very common so you may just be feeling a load of those! But the fact that they move is really great and that they are squishy. I bet you’ve had them such a long time, you’ve just never looked for them! Wishing you all the best for your appointment. I am certain you will be absolutely fine!

I had a few flare up in my armpit for weeks after a flu shot. They were painless and firm which they say is bad. They eventually went away. Scary though. Have one permanently hardened in front of my right ear too. Question though: Did you have health anxiety before the lymphoma scare? I'm going though a similar experience, but i've never had this type of anxiety before. Gone 30 years of my life without health anxiety but in the last 5 months ive self diagnosed myself with 10 different diseases.

@@maxjayne399 First noticed like 2 weeks after my shot. I imagine they swelled up before I noticed them. I wouldn't have noticed if I wasnt already having health anxiety and trying to feel all my dang nodes lol. Took 3-4 months for them to subside.
Also had dizziness 2 days after the shot, which made me really afraid. My doctors weren't at all surprised of my reactions and def beleive it could be from the vaccine.
mikester9er omg I’m having the same damn thing but mines not the flu shot ! Just glad to see someone else had this type of a reaction to a shot, i saw a dr and he wasn’t concerned
@@maxjayne399 Well a vaccine is essentially giving your body a little bit of the virus/bacteria, so it actually makes sense lymph nodes are active when creating the immune response. Most people just don't notice because they're not randomly feeling up their armpits lol.
I suffered 2 weeks of stress and 1 week anxiety, my right lymp node hurts but no swelling.

Can a knee surgery cause a node to swell and not come back down? I have a node thats slightly larger on the side that i had an ACL surgery on about a decade ago. Ive been practicing intermittened fasting and have been losing some weight. I became aware of the node in my groin. ive watced your videos on the node sizes. Everything seems to be alright but i do have some anxiety over it. My mother died last year of cancer. Started as a skin cancer and ended up spreading all over her body. So that has made me wanting to take better care of myself as i just turned 40.
Makes total sense! Lymph nodes swell in response to infection and injury:)

Made me re evaluate my health and habits. Its always better to be educated on these things than to be ignorant of them.
At 1st i thought I have a brain tumor then eye cancer like 4 days ago I thought I have lymphoma and now I think I have thyroid cancer and also salivary gland cancer. I think I have like 3 cancers at the same time. I'm going insane my mom is tired of me

i’m 16 and i just discovered a small swollen lymph node in my armpit, i’ve gotten better at not looking up everything on google but I just thought one question can’t be bad however it led me to lymphoma, my mom won’t take me to the doctor and i’m still nervous i went to my school nurse friday with my friend and she thought i was fine but she said she’s not a psychiatrist however she says it’s normal for the lymph nodes to inflame even though i feel perfectly fine.. the lump is pretty small about a pea shape and it’s high on my armpit, it’s been here for 4 days now and i’m not sure what to do everytime i talk to my mom she shuts the conversation down and takes my phone she also just keeps calling me a hypochondriac

Same thing for me now, got 2 lymph nodes around pea sized in my right arm pit that I noticed like only recently and have been dealing with health anxiety around lymphoma for months now, sent me spiralling again after I felt absolutely fine the other week and here I am again, nervous wreck over lymph nodes thinking I have lymphoma
Sorry for the late response! I’m fine now I ended up going to a doctor incase it was anything bad and he told me to watch it for another 2 weeks to see if it would get any bigger harder or more painful but i’m fine now! 🥰 I would still suggest to maybe see a doctor it can’t hurt!
@@laurenkathrine9381 thanks for the reply - I think I will for these in my arm pit, they’re only the size of around a pea, not particularly hard or big but there’s 3 of them I think, and they were quite tender, I’ve just started CBT for health anxiety, wish this mindset would go away asap, I have good and bad days, but yeah I think I’ll try get to the doctors tomorrow for them as this phobia around lymphoma has been around for ~4 months (no lymph nodes have grown whatsoever in this time scale) before it was some lymph nodes in my neck which the ultrasound came back normal reactive benign and not even swollen apparently, I’ve got another one booked for June 9th so hopefully that clears it all up and the therapy helps the anxiety because it’s crippling, only 19M and it’s putting my life progression on halt
- just measured and the lymph nodes are all around 1cm in size, and lymphoma swollen ones go up to like the size of a grape, even my biggest lymph node is probably only around 1.5cm, I really need to let this fear go to move on in life haha! Wish you the best and glad you had a good outcome!

jenelyn delacruz You are gonna be fine!! Maybe they're growing because you keep touching them. Anyway, you should have at least an ultrasound and be seen by a doctor. Even if you have something, there will always be people willing to help you. Don't worry so much! Anxiety is so bad!!
I used to stress a lot. It's been more than a year since I discovered my lymph nodes and I am perfectly fine. Just don't think so much about it! You will be fine!

why in the world do you need to wait so long in the UK for something as simple and uninvasive as an U/S? In Canada we have a public healthcare system and at most clinics you simply walk in with a referral and you can sometimes get in the same day. Granted, I live in a major city, but I have family in smaller markets who work in health care and the wait is rarely longer than a week.

Same here! I went to the doc and she said mine was less then 1cm which isn't worrisome... But it has been there for 2 months! I keep fiddling with it causing myself to worry even more. Lol😊

black panther Hi! Have you been to the doctor to get checked out? Could be a number of things! You may have a bit of a viral infection that is causing your lymph node to be a bit sore!
Yh....it feel sore becos of infection...and if it not swollen but pinching it is definitely caused by anxiety, over simulation or infection

I am obsessed with touching my neck after finding a lump on my neck.. i keep feeling all these little lumps and bumps and im not sure if its me . I have been reading so much about lymph nodes. I feel like im going insane. Cant tell if its my muscle or a bump .
Ugh same i went to see 3 doctors last week they all said it's nothing ,but i didnt believe them and I'll be seeing my 4th doctor today. Idk something keeps telling me i have cancer

@sumika fujieda yes mine isn't visible too I've had it since I was a kid. My tonsils were always asymmetrical. I'm just so worried like I keep touching my neck and jaw I keep on looking in the mirror to see if they've enlarged or something I also keep on messing with my salivary glands I'm tired of myself

i had hodkin lymphoma, cancer... i got over it but now i feel the lymphs still, a bit swollen... and hurt a bit.. i am almost 1 year off chemotherapy so i am hoping it won't come back....
Eat a plant based diet raw vegan diet don’t eat anything sugar, cancers only survive with sugar intake. Cancer can’t survive in a alkaline body

For five years I've been able to feel my lymph nodes in my groin, neck and under chin. My lymph nodes are about the size of pea to the size of a bean. I'm concerned about on in my under chin that feels bigger. This week my skin has been itching a bit only at night. IDK. I suffer from anxiety and I'm starting to become suicidal

Hey don’t worry you’re fine! I’ve had 3 swollen for about 2 years and was terrified. But I found out that they can also swell if your body is fighting off fungus. I’ve had a very stubborn athlete foot that won’t go away with over the counter medication and I don’t have health insurance :(

I thought I had lotsa symptoms to, I seriously went for over 50tests in the span of 7months and not 1 came back postive, not 1,ite a scary ass ride to be on, wow I don't even like thinking about it, but if u needed to talk let me know. I thought I had lymphoma in my arm pit, thing is I never had them swell up, I kept touching my lymph nodes over and over with horrible anxiety, I went to the doctor and we had a good laugh. Lol hope you find bliss because health anxiety isn't easy, its a constant battle a battle within yourself.
Sad God Thanks so much for your comment. I kept touching mine constantly which of course made everything worse! My doctor thought I was bonkers when I told him point blank that I had Lymphoma. Anxiety really is awful! Thank you!

Its nearly a year now and Doctor google has fucking ruined my life. Even after tests came negetive I still thought I had HIV. We should petition google... Where did your lymph nodes swell
One thing I've noticed is that it severally messes with my confidence level in my body and it lowers how much I put myself out there to find someone knowing that I have these swells
I just got the news that my both lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and I’m really scared. Major anxiety sufferer. I’m even afraid to get a ct scan because of my worry about radiation exposure since my doctor wants me to have it with contrast. Ugh’ I hate health anxiety.
What did you end up doing?
Got the ct scan with contrast and regret it so bad. I feel like a victim in the medical system and feel as though they just had me do it to drain my insurance :/ don’t think it was necessary at all. I think a better rout would’ve been to keep monitoring my lymphnodes for any change in size, I highly suspect covid vaccine made them swollen and they just never went back down. Cried and was depressed for weeks after I got the ct not only because of radiation but I also got a major allergic reaction to the contrast that lasted a month. Would never do it again. I’m trying to detoxify my body (don’t even know if this is possible) by eating tons of healthy food.

I also had two cranberry juices right after since they say they help detoxify the body. In addition to that, I had tins of leafy greens and berries for a whole week. Idk if that helped or not but it sure gave me a sense of control over the situation. I do feel better about it now though. My mom had had tons of scans one after another and she’s okay, thank God.

i went to the doctor earlier today (may 12,2020)
i have lumps in my amrpit getting bigger.i thought it was just a cyst that can be remove.
the doctor said it is possible that this could be a cancerous, if that the i must have operation and get my boobs remove.but for now i had scheduled for breast ultrasound.

It’s been six months for me too. And honestly it got okay, but then I got an ingrown hair and decided to pull it so of course there was an infection and then it got cured but my lymph node remains enlarged; the more I touch it the more it seems larger. I know I am okay but that’s the logical part of me; the stupid part of me thinks I have lymphoma.

I was detoxing everyday from knowing we were being sprayed with barium, strontium, aluminum from the sky.

Ok so hear my story
I had lymph nodes from many years
But when I got smartphone and internet at 2016 I got to know about and got scared because shows many things
I went to doctor 2 times he said you are fine then I was ok
And again in 2020 lockdown happens my health anxiety started again
So started thinking about my lymph nodes again again and this anxiety makes me touch my lymph nodes many times
Then one day I told myself don't touch it.
So after 1 week I checked that at night before sleeping I was shocked
My lymph nodes size increase double.
I have 2 lymph node behind my left ear
And 1 behind my right ear
And 4 very small small lymph nodes behind the head.
Now I don't know what to do
I am so scared.
