CORRECTION!
We misspelled Fumio Mieda's name, which should be Mieda, not Mieta!
Ed maverick used too for acoustic guitar in Live shows check it out
Yes, Japanese, not ITALIAN!
Respect!
So kinda like ta da...forgive.
Love and miss these kinds of 'splainer episodes!
this but add more jams as examples
Same, I kind of... hate the other videos and livestreams. I'm here for the history!
Absolutely agree
Me either!

I really missed the more "old school" episodes so I'm super happy right now. Also, I'm a big Vibrato fan, so double good 🙂 Plus a couple of Record Time moments as bonus!
we just needed to cook a little bit
@@jhspedals Russell Wilson, is that you? Wilson must be preparing fine dining, because at the price of 165 million, his cooking is too rich for my liking.
@@jhspedals the thing I missed the most is the Record Time.
More of these type of episodes please.
ah, classic Vibrato, most formidable adversary of the X Men
And best friend of Jean Grey (hi-yoooo)
I don't get it
Very good,brother.👍
the AXe Men
I really like these short and sweet pedal history lessons with a bit of tech talk sprinkled in.
I like this type of episode. It's classic JHS Show.
Any video with Madison Cunningham in it is instantly a good video
Love the Boards of Canada shoutout. They’re the biggest reason for my interest in modulation and warbly tape sounds.
Didn't know them.
And I'm in CANADA. 😬🤦😂
@@fredericleroux489 It’s never too late 🥲
@@fredericleroux489 But they're not, they're Scottish.
@@philwildcroft1764 🤣🤣
are they emo? they sound emo?
5:03 Primus also uses it a lot! Man, I love how Larry and Les use effects, you guys could make an episode on them!
One of the best parts of the channel is when he talks positively about other pedals - and it just makes me want to buy JHS that much more
Always got to love a shout out to the vib on Boards of Canada. Campfire is definitely a best of all time album.
Josh using a Silver Sky to talk Strat history: Top tier trolling by the king 👑
Love the short format of deep diving into an effect category or brand!
Yes, bring back these types of episodes as well as the shoot out videos between original pedals and their clones. Thank you!!!
Love these episodes
Just wish there was at least some Bass talk, knowing that Chorus + Bass is such a tried and true combo
In this world, there was only one person who knew what the tremolo arm on a guitar was for and how to use it on a level inaccessible to others. And that will never change. The irreplaceable Jeff Beck.
Can't get enough of that vibin' stuff! And more 'splainin' 'sodes, pliz? They're always fun, informative, and entertaining.
Graham Coxon from Josh's favorite band, Blur, is also a big VB-2 fan. Josh probably already knows this haha. Great episode.
Can't believe he didn't mention Bank Holiday /s
I love when Josh breaks down an entire genre of pedals, points out underrated gear, really just the lot of him talking about pedals.
Really miss these videos on the history of a type of effects pedal. Please keep making more of these
I bloody love these type of episodes. Makes me warm and fuzzy (other effects are available).
Back to the content I subscribed for!!!!! Love this stuff! Thank you, Josh!!!
Campfire headphase is an incredible throwback! That's getting a listen tonight!
Also loving this episode, a true return to form.
Wow!
Josh is back on track. 🥰
Thanks for the like Joshua! 😊
I mean mister Bocanegra. Not the strange tall guy who wants us to believe he's the boss. 🙄
Refreshing somewhat return to form. Really dig this approach.
I will never get enough of this format of jhs show, the distilled info. Pure concentrated knowledge, delicious.
Ah, I'm so happy this type of video is here again!
This was the best episode in a while in my humble opinion! I miss the simple videos that explain the effects and show excellent examples!
Love these types of episodes, please keep them coming
It's been a long time since one of these types of episodes. As always, loved it.
Thumbs up for the mention of Boards of Canada! Love my VB-2W.
I miss this format. Please continue to release these on some regular schedule.
I missed these types of JHS videos!
At the same time, it aitn' so good for my wallet cuz off I go looking for a vibrato...
I like these kinds of episodes.
These kinds of episodes are the reason I subscribed years ago.
I absolutely love this type of episode. Probably my favorite kind.
The effect history and other "educational" episodes are definitely my faves. 👍
Love this Josh and all the gang. Love the short format.
It is priceless how much I learn in episodes like this one. Thanks!!
Boards of Canada uses a lot of actual tape wobble from old hand held tape recorders as well. They were way ahead of the "degraded sounds good" phase we're all in now.
I like this type of episode
I like these type of episodes
Love the pink Hello Kitty strat with the bird inlays.
More of this and just as much of that too please.
Yes! Boards of Canada reference!
i luv this types of episodes with al me heart
Also worthy of note in the history of guitar vibrato is the "F.M. Vibrato Circuit" incorporated in the Magnatone amplifiers of the late 1950s. Fender "got alot of things right the first time" but their distinction between vibrato and tremelo was completely backwards.
I had to scroll down hundreds of replies until I found one that mentioned Magnetone! Watching this episode I was really surprised that Josh missed it. Maybe he couldn't fit it in because he was trying to do a short episode. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Love the show.
Yes! I think this is my favourite type of JHS video ❤
Yeah. Yes. Amazing. Whoop
An EPISODE!!!!!!
More please!!!!
I like this type of episode. Will now go have a wonderful day.
GREAT KIND OF EPISODE!
NGL best type of episodes, and the reason why I'm subscribed.
I love this type of episodes!!! please MOOOOOORRREEEEE!!!
Always interesting hearing from a true and knowledgable enthusiast of FX history, more please.
Glad to see the old show back, this was fun. You should get the Stompbox Breakdown guy over for the next one, he’d be great.
nailed it back to the basic videos that we ll all love !
Clear and informative, dis-spells the confusion between tremolo & vibrato, delivered with a bit of wit and subtle humor (Josh-style, of course)--well done, folks.
I literally just bought the boss vb-2 WAZA yesterday!!! What are the odds that this video was made right after I bought it.

Yes, this kind of episodes - me gusta mucho 😁👌
JHS Emperor Chorus purple guitar. Excellent detail
I did like this episode very much. Thank you.
Not only is this well explained but the musical examples are killer!
Love these episodes! Thank you all!
Have missed this kind of produced ep.
These kinds of episodes warm the very cockles of my heart.
Love this format! "Just The Facts, Ma'am...". Nothing wrong when they jam; BUT, when the jams are constantly interruptive, the key learning points get lost - EDUCATE ME, don't ENTERTAIN ME until "After The Learnin' Be Done" - Love the whole JHS Gang!
Thank you for doing these amazing videos on different guitar pedals!! Watching them has gotten me inspired to play more electric guitar and try new pedals!
I love these kind of demos! Thanks.
I never knew chorus was so similar to vibrato. Learning stuff every day.
👍
Love these kind of episodes the most
My favorite vibrato pedal, which I looked for for 20 years, is this thing that is light blue and has a unicorn on it. It also says JHS on it. It just happens to be the only thing on the market that doesn't cost 1000s of dollars AND the wave is slow enough to match the speed of an original univibe. Watched a demo for 10 seconds and bought one. (Thanks Andy, formerly of pro guitar, for taking the wool off of my eyes) Apparently it's a version 1...whatever that means. All I know is that it sounds like this Hendrix dude use to.
🤔
Liked this episode format!
Always love this kind of episode!
Love these type of episodes! More please.
Finally a JHS episode like the classic ones!
I love these types of episodes. Thanks everyone! Peace
That was fun and much appreciated - thank you! More episodes along these lines would be great!
So fantastic to see this format of episode again - these are the reason I ended up here in the first place!
The jam at the end with the vibrato and gated fuzz sounds awesome.
Love these type of videos, thanks!

Yes please more of this format
Super dig these dives into a particular effect type. Love the live chaos too.
That jam at the end is my favorite you guys have done. Awesome!
I do like this type of episode. It's what got me interested in and learning about pedals. Thanks!!
