Thanks to this video and the advice of a personal friend, I went with the MBRP dual exhaust. It definitely changes the driving experience of my 2011 Tundra SR5 Double Cab!
Glad to help! Enjoy
Just got my TRD exhaust for my taco wed. Can't be happier. I've had it for my FJ and other taco. Extra power and extra growl.
+Christopher Rainero its the perfect upgrade. In my opinion, it should be standard on all TRD Off Road packages and up 👍🏼
I had a dual magna flow system put in and it sounds great! Started with a single pipe, wife listened and said "it sounds off, only from one side", "why didn't you get dual?" Ok so i go back and tell muffler shop what wife said and they laughed and took pity on me and redid it for dual pipes. I kept pipes coming from behind the tires and put black tips on. Its a white 2018 SR5 XP edition and the black tips really set it off. Total for single and dual conversion and tips was 630 dollars.
If you do a video on exhausts, it’s not an exhaust video without the sound from those exhausts, fail. 🤦🏻♂️🙄👎
I have a magnaflow dual on my 5.7 tundra and I love it!
you have 14' 18' 22' magnaflow??
I had a 2010 5.7 with flowmaster 40's true dual coming out the side in front of the tire (nascar style). Was very raspy, not very loud. Switched those out for dual super 10's. Sound got a lot deeper and backfired on cold starts and deceleration. Loved that setup! Now I have a 2019 5.7 with true dual magnaflow bullets both coming out behind the right rear tire. This setup is noticeably louder than the 10's at idle and acceleration. Backfires more often though lol.
Freaking outstanding I just bought a awesome 2014 tundra ghost rider mean truck with a personality
a year ago i got a flowmaster outlaw set up, about $800. LOUD. decent manners below 3k rpm, if you get on the throttle it is all smiles from there on out lol
+Reggie Hot lol definitely a loud exhaust for sure
Nice list. If I ever decide to replace the Rebel's exhaust this will be good info!😎
+Vlogging Adventures with Rob 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You love quality 😀
BAM for the win
Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎈
+Mike Molina Happy New Year!!!
I love Toyota
You should try the Borla. I had it on my ZL1 and am getting the Borla. Zero drone. I think if you had one, it would be your #1. Brother had 2019 TRD Pro until he sold it for his ZL1. Both of us have some amazing mods on the Tundra. Best way I could describe the sound of the TRD exhaust to the Borla is like a cub trying to roar in front of full fledged lion. Plus you really can't go wrong with the Borla. In the cabin you get less noise from the Borla than the TRD due to no drone! Good vid by the way.
I agree with you on the Trd exhaust. Other than the sound, does it benefit the trucks performance??
Borla ...... all the way. I have it on my 08 Tundra .Had it on my 02 Ram . Also had it on my Mustang GT. Good quality stuff . Love the sound. Recommended highly
+eiseyem i always call Borla my unicorn, ill get one eventually
TundraDude34 I just came across your videos. Great stuff. Keep up the great work 👍. I actually just finally ordered a Trd sway bar. I have Bilstein 5100's all around on top setting and love them. The sway bar should compliment them nicely I would think. I was looking into a Trd intake but was a little hesitant for i have heard some people say they have lost power. I just have a K&N now. I have an 08 limited with 42000 miles on it with a bunch of goodies on it. Love the truck.
+eiseyem i really appreciate you checking out the channel! Check out Volant Intakes. Lots of Tundra owners rave about it, i actually had one on my 09
@@TundraDude34 I agree on the Volant..I have one on my 2015 Tundra limited and it's great. Came with the Donaldson filter so I don't have to worry about oils. Thanks for sharing
I currently have the flowmaster super 10 series it sounds good it's not super loud but it's loud when you get on the gas I ordered the muffler online for about 75 and got 2.5 pipes installed with dual side exits and 3 inch exhaust tips.
+Arnold Guzman thats a great set up!
Do you have a video
I have Corsa on my 5.7 Tundra. it's quiet at idle but sounds better than any exhaust I've ever heard when u get into it.
I'm kinda shocked you didn't mention Corsa.
Thats an older video before I was familiar with it. It is pretty awesome
Was hoping you'd include sound clips!
I have the Borla duel exhaust out the side and it's great. I have a buddy who has the TRD duel and mine is just slightly louder than his but pretty close.
+Tyson Broome i believe Borla makes the TRD but dont quote me
Borla may make it, but the warranty is not lifetime nor is it stainless steel. I have an 07’ Tundra with the 5.7 and ordered the truck with the TRD exhaust at a cost of $1,065. 10 years later, the flanges between the muffler and tailpipes are rotted away. I called Borla and they said it had a 3 year warranty, whereas the Borla is a lifetime warranty. I would NEVER purchase a TRD exhaust again.
Iwanted the Corsa Exhaust, But Dont' Know What Specs And Gains Are, Expecially now that SC is installed
Have you heard any good or bad things about the stainless works exhaust?
what about single exhaust like the corsa?
Hello Tundra dude can you speak about the tundra 2018 trd sport what do you know about this truck also your opinion about the tesla style radio 12.1" for our trucks
A lot of viewers dont like the Tesla style radio. A few that have owned them already returned them. What questions do you have about the TRD Sport?
I have an 07 Tundra SR5 4.7L everything stock under the hood, i don’t see many options for the 4.7L. Any suggestions?
Label leg humping . . . . .Classic Chamber POWERSTICKS are never heard of and so under rated
What do you think about those electronic exhaust cutouts? I like the sound of the factory exhaust because we do a lot of road trips, but every once in awhile I would like to have it loud and be heard. You seem to have some experience with Tundra's, what is your opinion on those.
Ive never used them, but im more of an old school guy. Check out borla systems or the trd dual exhaust. Loud when you want them to be, but not always
This may sound crazy but i wanna swap out my MF for something quieter and zero drone....i drive too much on long trips and I’ve had enough of that drone. Any suggestions? I’m thinking of just grabbing a stock tundra muffler and removing the MF. Thanks in advance!
When you had the high flow cats with 3' piping as a custom exhaust did you experience any fuel mileage losses ?
+Brad Revett I experienced losses but i think that was more from the mud tires and lift i added at the same time lol
Did you ever do headers?
Love your videos on tundras. When you put flowmaster 40 single shot did you lose any gas mileage? I just had dual flowmaster super 10 installed on my '07 tundra and my intake is still stock have any suggestions? Appreciate any feedback thank you
My fuel mileage didnt change much when i added the 40s
Did you have the TRD intake or the stock? Thanks again for your reply
So what are the two PN's for the TRD Dual exhaust 2-piece system?! Thank you in advance.

Ove my toyota. What's up with the recall on tundra???
Why do you only like dull exhaust? What about single it makes more power
Nice review of the best options available for Tundra! As far as out-the-back or out the side, I prefer duals out the passenger's side (behind the rear wheel). For those of us who tow regularly, you know why out the side is best. The last thing you want when you are hooking up/checking on a trailer is having the exhaust blowing right in your face! it's kind of like: if someone is facing you smoking, would you rather have blow the smoke in your face, or turn their head 90 degrees & blow. Just something to think about if you are ever planning on towing fairly regularly.
Excellent point
Manga flow tundra
Or you can just turn off the engine.
@@Ken-tp2eo please refrain from making ignorant comments.
I was originally going to go with the TRD Pro exhaust, then I started looking at options, different mufflers, so now I think I want to take to take it to a muffler shop, have a dual exhaust, X pipe, with turndowns at a 45* angle just past the rear axle with the Flowmaster Pro series mufflers, a moderate sounding muffler. The truck has 2.5 inch pipes from factory, so my question is, would it benefit from 3" pipes ? Would it lose Torque ? So many different opinions out there, and you've had the 3" exhaust, so what do you think ?
+glehman01 i liked the 3 inch pipes. No need for an x pipe though. They are 2 completely separate pipes coming off 2 separate headers. Custom built exhaust are great, especially if you're particular
Thanks for the advice, I am kind of particular. Your video's are great, very helpful to new Tundra owners, a good voice of experience.
+glehman01 I appreciate you watching
I have a question for you boss man. Will adding a aftermarket exhaust system void my new truck warranty?
+Alberto Gonzales google search "will adding an exhaust void warranty" The only way you would have a problem is if the new exhaust system caused the part malfunction that you are trying to get repaired or replaced under warranty. Ive had aftermarket exhaust systems on other Tundras and Toyota Techs never said a word. Hope this helps but make sure u read some articles under that google search 👍🏼
Bodyguard 58 s22
Got a question, so I have a 2007 v8 5.7 tundra TRD, and I have Flowmaster 40 series exhaust already with all cats still on. Well now I'm looking for something alot more aggressive, with that being said, 1. If I remove the rear cats (back 2) would that affect my check engine light/ cause any problems? 2. If not, should I keep the 40s I have or change to something more aggressive? And 3. If so, what would y'all recommend? Keep in mind my state does not do inspections, no emission tests.
+Tyler McCarty i had flowmaster 40s on my 09 and thought they were the loudest things of all time lol. You could straight pipe but you do risk a light. How about high flow cats and maybe the outlaw system? ( which i hear is very loud) let me know what u decide 👍🏼
TundraDude34 Will do, thanks!
+Tyler McCarty 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Anyone using a corsa exhaust? I can't seem to decide...
🤣🤣😂😂😂 " I dont like Toyota or anything, nope not at all" lol we love toyota
Gibson's metal mulisha sounds like flowmaster outlaw.... that's an awesome sound however you can't have a conversation in the cab.... if you want the roar go with flowmaster super 44, it is loud and if you want to be safe go with the series 50 just a bit louder than stock with a roar. Magna flow doesn't sound good to me, also I did hear that TRD exhaust is Borla Pro xs it's just hard to find...
+purepower333 so many options lol
TundraDude34 yeah I've been going crazy to find the right exhaust at the right price
+purepower333 auto anything dot com has a great sale today on systems
I like the Flowmaster 70 series big block muffler, had one on my '08 F-150, not too loud until in passing gear. Think I want a set for my 2016 Tundra. What is a good High Flow cat ? I will need two of them.
+glehman01 the stock ones are adequate enough. Some would actually consider them "high flow" already
Definitely check out BAmuffler by dirty deeds industries. Keith is excellent to deal with and a great deal of knowledge on the tundra. I'm saving for his race system for my 14' platinum. 49hp and 89lb feet of torque at the wheels
+wes monk wow thats crazy. Ill check him out thanks!
Yep his race system is so nice. Tobad I can't have the long tubes here in California because of smog regulations.
+Trd Jason NJ is slowly becoming Cali
I have an 08 dblc and I had most of the exhaust on mine that you mentioned. they all have terrible drone at cruising speed. the borla pro xs was probably the best. the other thing is you lose torque with the free flowing exhaust, but the plus side the top end speed pull away is crazy! unichips really makes the difference also.
+Bruno DeFrancesco i would love to see what a performance chip/tuning would do to this truck
Love my TRD Pro Exhaust, then again I'm almost 50. We all know that guy with the "stupid" loud exhaust also. lol
+New_England_Times lol yea we do. The TRD Pro exhaust is the best of both worlds
I have the Flowmaster American Thunder system seems pretty quiet I paid 350 on Amazon warehouse deals.
+Tim Jackson excellent deal
I've mentioned it before but I suggest to anyone that wants a great exhaust (imo) check out the flowmaster outlaw series. I have it on my '14 tundra and I can't say enough good things about it. It has that awesome growl to it when you step into it but there's no drone until 65+mph and even then it's not deafening in the least there's even an awesome vid of it on RUclips by Dat Boi. Oh and you do have a choice of straight out or behind the wheel for the tips and you can have the tips black or chrome
+Stephen Vargas i forgot all about the Outlaw. A GREAT EXHAUST, check it out people. Thanks Stephen 👍🏼
Have it on my 14 and love it. Sounds exactly the way a v8 should.
+TeamMisfit i may have to check it out
Stephen Vargas
Hey Stephen are you talking about the outlaw series 10? I do like that video of it just worried it might be too loud.
Also how much drone is in the cab at 65+mph. You can still still carry a conversation? And do you use 2 outlaw mufflers or 1, and do you have the exhaust coming out the side or the rear?
Thanks and sorry about all the questions
+purepower333 all great questions that will help alot of viewers. Well done 👍🏼
I work ay Import Auto pros in Westminster Ca i would recommend to dirty deeds dual dump exhaust for any tundra. There are many choices from dirtydeeds industries including full race.....trd replacement....and oem system. High quality great sound with good power gains.🔥🔥🔥
How many tundras you had? Was the 2014 the platinum? Is this a pro you're sitting in? What year is it?
That video was a 2016 Pro. Ive owned 5 including my current one (Platinum)
TundraDude34 my next pickup is going to be a Tundra. Been dealing on a 2017 Platinum in bronze color. Not my favorite color but price is decent.
NATHAN IS WEARING YOUR SHIRT IN THE NEW ASK NATHAN ON TFL
+Silveradoman 101 pretty good start to 2017! Haha 👍🏼
Flow master super 10s the best!
Are these exhaust you're telling us about are for the newer tundras ?
Because I have a 07 tundra & im in the market looking for a exhaust
What I'm asking is what do you think will go good for my truck?
+Adrian Alejandro alot of these exhaust are also available for the 07-13 Tundras as well. Just pick a brand, go to their website and put it your vehicle info. Lots of options for the 07 👍🏼
TundraDude34
Thank you
I appreciate it
+Adrian Alejandro anytime!
left out SPINTECH and CRAVEN
My name Henry. I got a 2014 tundra TSS off road. An I was looking for a exhaust with a deep tone to it. Not so obnoxiously loud but when I step on the throttle I can hear the deepness of the exhaust. What would you recommend
+Henry Barnett not sure what your build budget is, but I recommend the TRD Dual Exhaust. Perfect "adult" exhaust lol. Save 5% on your order at Sparks Parts using the promo code TundraDude34
O yeah. You meant to dress TRD I know you did, you're a Toyota fan nothing wrong with that man!
Where can I get the best price for TRD Dual exhaust?
Sparksparts.com and use promo code TundraDude34 👍🏼 saves you 5%
TundraDude34
Thanks for replying so fast. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time. I got a 2017 tundra a few months ago before that I had a 2008. I’d really like to know how I can get some storage space under the back seats of the crewmax. In the 2008 model I was able to bend the seat down and place 4 inch boxes which would hold ratchet tie downs that I use to tie down granite slabs. Now they just wiggle everywhere.
Esp makes an underseat storage unit you can install in the crewmax, also available at sparks!
Wait a second..you can get trd pro with leather seats?
+electropentatonic yea, its the soft tex "leather"
I have an SR5 with leather. Of course I had Katzskin installed. you can build your own this way with any color configuration.
13 tundra 5.7 with corsa sport exhaust.
+216slaughter love the exhaust?
Unless you have 500+ h.p. You will loose power with 3 inch exhaust. Go ahead and say I am wrong. I have seen the 1 hp bump at redline. I am talking about low end grunt from idle to 4K where most of is spend most of our time. I have Gibson 2 1/2”.
You aren’t wrong
I have a 4 inch cat back to 6 inch outlet and I have more horsepower than stock
I Will Say This Tundra Fam....Do Not Buy Magnaflow Cats!!!
-paid about 700 for all 4 in October 2017. they were gone by beginning of February 2018 after Supercharger install. Idk what I'm gonna do now. thats why i ended up Back on this video for a 2nd time, even though i watched it months ago lol!!!
Spintech Super Pro 9000 nothing compares in my opinion the competition doesn't compare
+Anthony Macneil ill have to check it out !
TundraDude34 That's just the muffler single inlet dual outlet
+Anthony Macneil 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Agreed and you can dual inlet dual outlet or other configurations
U r only talking about sound and not performance. If u do a few mpg checks before and after I'd say that's a good way to tell if there's more power. But from what my understanding is putting after market exhaust is like kids putting baseball cards in bicycles to sound like a dirtbike. I went with a supercharger instead. Allowed me to tow 10,000 lbs up 12,000 ft with ease. And much faster. Gotta run 91 tho. But get about 1.5 mpg more.
+Glock Nyneteen i also have the supercharger 😉
+Matt Maroney thanks Matt! For the everyday truck consumer, the number 1 thing they want to know when upgrading an exhaust is how much the exhaust note will change. 👍🏼 I appreciate you watching
TundraDude34 I don't care how it sounds only how it performs. I have supercharged tundra on board air. I run power tools off my truck.
Matt Maroney good luck getting a supercharger for under 9 grand
+Glock Nyneteen Thats awesome. Im just stating that the average truck consumer asks about the noise level more than anything else.
if you are looking for a great exhaust give my buddy keith a call from dirtydeedsindustries!!! he has the only true custom exhaust for tundra #BAMUFFLERS FTW!!! @Tundradude34
+texasstealth1911 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 i gotta check out bamufflers
Gibson racing metal malisha exhaust! The only way to go
Insane loud?
@@TundraDude34 their is cab noise, but everyone ask me if its a diesel
I hate that the TRD exhaust is sooooo much👎🏽👎🏽😡😡
+purepower333 yea its pretty crazy. Seriously, check out the local prices on building your own. Tons of benefits going that route 👍🏼
It has a good tone, but it's not loud at all.
+TeamMisfit i agree. Its a pro and a con lol
