I have an opinion its my favorite of the series and I respect your opinion with arkham city, but I like the combat in origins and Iike the story with the assasins and the Black Mask twist, it does a great job of showing us how the fucked up love story of Batman and Joker came to be.
One idea for the Bruce sections, instead of giving him Detective Vision or a reskinned version of it, make it like "listen mode" from TLOU where Bruce can hear noises from enemies if he stops moving. This has several applications. Firstly, it makes playing as Bruce and as Batman feel more distinct and makes Batman's equipment feel like a neccessary upgrade (and it makes the DLC have its own gameplay gimmick that makes it play differently from the main game which would entice more people to buy it as it wouldn't just be more of the same). Secondly, it makes the player have to rely on their wits a lot more since sound provides a less complete picture than Detective Vision. Thirdly, there are lots of interesting ways enemies and the player can respond to it. Like, they can adapt to it by moving slower which makes Listen Mode less effective so the player might have to do something to prompt the enemies to run for a short while to see them. The enemies can make their own noises to confuse the player's Listen Mode and lure them into a trap. Fourthly, it makes learning to avoid the crutch a more skillful endeavor instead of a handicap. Players who "git gud" at Predator segments without needing Listen Mode as much do much better than players relying on it which encourages players to work more.

Cold cold heart fulfils everything I wanted from a Batman dlc, almost anyway, you get to play as Bruce, walk through the manor, go down to the bat cave, fight new enemies, a new suit and reworked gadgets. I don’t think any other dlc for any of the other games gives you a new suit and enemies. For me that’s why cold cold heart is my favourite.
The whole premise of the Arkham City Freeze fight was that he was too dangerous to be taken head on. Would've liked to have seen young Bats in this DLC try to go in head first and get wrecked. Would've given his apprehension in City some background.
Yeah, like the first part of the fight in the Cold Cold Heart is partially head on, then in a cutscene or something, he injures bats pretty good, then you move into stealth. Just a thought

Deathstroke felt like a skin for the Arkham City Robin character with very few new moves. On other note, the experience over all of the DLC I felt was worth the price, along with all the new challenge maps that came with the Azrael Skin for Batman which were a lot of fun even if some were re-skinned maps from arkham city like the museum or the GCPD building and I'm surprised you didn't mention them. That aside, great video as always!

I personally really enjoyed the DLC Cold, Cold Heart. Sure, the upgrades you could get we're just kinda... Eh. But I did find uses for them in the game and in some cases, they were Lifesavers. As far as the story goes, I enjoyed it. The enviorments they set up at GothCorp were really good, with the blue sort of smoke or fog clouding the hallways. I also really enjoyed seeing Gotham in this sort of orangish cloud. It sort of gave Gotham a new atmosphere which I really liked. I do really wish we could visit places like Burnley too, which was inaccessible during the DLC. But, overall, I really loved this DLC and the season pass in general, so if someone were to ask me if it's worth it, I'd say yes, but only if the price went down to 10$ or lower, I actually got mine for 5$. Worth it!

Personally I’d pass. I had the season pass on Xbox 360 and didn’t get much value from it. If you really want, I’d recommend buying Cold, Cold Heart seperately for slightly cheaper

I just brought the game again on ps3 since there was a bundle with all the dlc can't wait to play it again I loved it when it first came out I hope it's as good as I remember wish the gotham by gaslight skin was added to arkham knight that would have looked sick af
The main reasons i dislike arkham origins are because the game was a rushed filler between city and knight, however these are overshadowed by an entertaining story, detailing the origin of the arkham series, some people dislike that joker was the main villain again, i kind of liked it, and how the joker originally wanted to kill the batman, and how his obsession with batman begins here. The only dlc i have is the deathstroke dlc and that was a ton of fun, but i watched others play cold cold heart and i like how it details the origin of Mr.Freeze a beloved boss from arkham city, given how Mr.Freeze adapts it is the most entertaining. I can't wait to see what they do with Mr.Freeze in Gotham Knights, as he is one of the few confirmed villains in the game.

I feel if WB Montreal dropped the online mode it would have been better for the game, some glitches could’ve been fixed and has Aqua says, The Initiation DLC could have been a bit of a story. Plus with the limited time and sanctions they had while making they game more people working on the parts that have the most complaints could have been avoided. But I still love the game and I don’t care what anyone else says, this game is a true Batman Arkham game
I really liked the season pass to origins, I also feel that initiation could be a lot better, with giving you some at least small open area and more story, but I still enjoyed playing it Deathstroke gameplay is really fun for me, the only thing I'd wish for him to have is to somehow include his sword he uses during our fight with him, maybe they could make it as a replacement for Batman's shock gloves, he could also use it to do quick kills during stealth sections. And cold cold heart was a really great dlc story wise, I also liked the fact that we start out as Bruce Wayne without anything and XE suit is probably one of my favorite batman's suits design wise

I think it's weird you mention how much they're selling for now as opposed to the initial sale. If I remember right the game sold for $60 with the season pass selling for $30, which lines up with what you think the difference should be. Also the season pass also came with two challenge map campaigns, along with play ability for ninja Bruce and Deathstroke adding them to all the challenge maps. There were a buttload of skins, they didn't waste half of it on the multiplayer, and Cold Cold Heart took the Harley Quinn Revenge idea and amplified it by a million. I honestly think thins game is the greatest version of season pass content I've ever seen.
back when I first got the season pass, I did not look too deep into what I'd get, but I only found out a couple years ago I did not receive the brightest day or gotham by gaslamp skins, as well as the initiation dlc. I really loved everything about origins but knowing I missed out on content I likely won't take the time to attempt to revisit is a bit upsetting.
I appreciate you putting the best part as a chapter so I could instantly find and watch it and not have to waste my time looking at the rest of the garbage

Origins is easily my second favorite of the series. I think it was just ‘cool’ to rip on it, but this game has some great themes and messages. I’ll play Origins over Knight any day.

Im only 14 but this was the first arkham game i played. I just recently just benjed all the other games in the series and in my opinion origins did a lot of things right but I just don't like the art style as much as the rocksteady games. Big fan.

Deathstroke gameplay is really fun for me, the only thing I'd wish for him to have is to somehow include his sword he uses during our fight with him, maybe they could make it as a replacement for Batman's shock gloves, he could also use it to do quick kills during stealth sections.
And cold cold heart was a really great dlc story wise, I also liked the fact that we start out as Bruce Wayne without anything and XE suit is probably one of my favorite batman's suits design wise

I think it's weird you mention how much they're selling for now as opposed to the initial sale. If I remember right the game sold for $60 with the season pass selling for $30, which lines up with what you think the difference should be. Also the season pass also came with two challenge map campaigns, along with play ability for ninja Bruce and Deathstroke adding them to all the challenge maps. There were a buttload of skins, they didn't waste half of it on the multiplayer, and Cold Cold Heart took the Harley Quinn Revenge idea and amplified it by a million. I honestly think thins game is the greatest version of season pass content I've ever seen.
back when I first got the season pass, I did not look too deep into what I'd get, but I only found out a couple years ago I did not receive the brightest day or gotham by gaslamp skins, as well as the initiation dlc. I really loved everything about origins but knowing I missed out on content I likely won't take the time to attempt to revisit is a bit upsetting.
Deathstroke not killing people in his gameplay is one of my major peeves in that dlc lol.
I appreciate you putting the best part as a chapter so I could instantly find and watch it and not have to waste my time looking at the rest of the garbage

Origins is easily my second favorite of the series. I think it was just ‘cool’ to rip on it, but this game has some great themes and messages. I’ll play Origins over Knight any day.
The only reason I ever got Arkham Origins was to play the challenge maps as Deathstroke despite being given a lackluster tool kit and moveset.

In rewatching this video, I went back too the PS3 store so I could see all the DLC for this game and I found a Black Mask challenge pack, I could not tell is he a playable character or are these challenges made by him?

Im only 14 but this was the first arkham game i played. I just recently just benjed all the other games in the series and in my opinion origins did a lot of things right but I just don't like the art style as much as the rocksteady games. Big fan.
My favorite part about Arkham origins is probably deathstroke I felt so badass while taking down thugs with brutal moves
