    I want to see the full take-off with one engine. The climb out with one engine was impressive. That would make it a very safe out-back airplane. Shades of Howard Hughes in the Aviator.

      I don't think it would get on the step with one engine. Touch down and keep it on step is easy on on one. Any twin will do it.

    I really like the design of this aircraft. Given that it is designed to operate over water having the safty of two engines is a good thing. Especially on those trips island hopping around the Caribbean. I wonder if there are any plans for a turboprop version in the future?

      True but the center of gravity is much lower. And you aren’t hauling two huge floats around.

  • @lessharratt8719

    Beautiful aircraft but it looks like it would be unmanageable in any kind of heavy weather while on the seas. Not enough freeboard forward will result in waves breaking over the bow. Just my humble opinion.

    Interesting idea. But why is it common to see videos on an aircraft, a video presumably made to attract the attention of pilots, with music playing instead of presenter comments......
    A deliberate dead stick landing? I wonder where they were doing that?

    "No Engines! WOW!!!" - Did this guy never do forced landings in his pilot training? He had a big lake to land on. Airplanes still fly with the engines off. It's not that big of a deal. Ever hear of a glider?

    • @KenLeonard
      @KenLeonard 3 года назад +1

      Lots of difference between simulated engine out vs real engine out. If you bounce the landing with no power available, it can get ugly fast.

    • @OneTequilaTwoTequila
      @OneTequilaTwoTequila 3 года назад +1

      @@KenLeonard Get ugly fast?? WTH?? Sounds like a personal flying ability problem. I've got over 8000 water landings on everything from PA-18s to CL-415s. Pretty much all of them have been idle touchdowns with no need to add power to prevent things from getting "ugly fast". Also about 400 glider landings. Again... nothing ugly.

      @@Тёмныйлес-д6у You don't know what you're talking about. ALL airplanes can glide without power. They just don't fall out of the sky if an engine quits. If it can glide, it can be landed. If you can't, then you don't have a pilot's license, If you do, then it should be revoked.

    • @ianisbell500
      @ianisbell500 3 года назад

      @@KenLeonard Both! I am not sure if the video in question is from the manufacturer. If so, the feedback is to emphasize a point. If they want good sales, make good videos. When people see bad videography, they won't watch it or share it, and tend to throw the baby out with the bath water. Meaning, it is reasonable to question build quality of the airplane when the build quality of the videos promoting it is so bad. Use Fiver or something.
      If this was an amateur youtuber, disregard and thanks for sharing the footage. Cool ass airplane!

    So many problems with this design, just like the Grumman Goose...joke. Why not innovate? That V twin tail is a joke. You need proper docking ability. Notice all invalid seaplanes (99% of them) always start off from a flat sandy beach. The true test of a seaplane is in the landing gear and how it works in interfacing with the land. So limiting! So sick of seeing the same junk OVER AND OVER AND OVER... Seems Russian just keeps pumping out twin engine junk. What is it with Russian designers? Well, this junk will fail too like so many. Sigh...
