Michael Smith is an amazing person. Make sure you read his book “Voyage of the Southern Sun”. That was an incredible feat. The new Sunbear is a beautiful aircraft, hope to see it up close one day here in Australia 👍🇦🇺🇷🇺
I was the first "non Russian test pilot" to fly the Be103 in America. It was delivered to Oshkosh, it did some demo flights with the Russian test pilots and then I was my turn to fly serial number 1 in the USA. What a strange journey that was, what a strange aircraft it was. What a strange way the Beriev and Kannapo team designed and built that plane. I could almost write a book no one would read. Now this bird is something, it sure looks like you guys got it right, I now fly a Twin Otter on floats for living. Would love to fly your bird. This could be the ultimate travel] machine. Super cool, thank you.
Regarding Be-103, that's very interesting experience. Beriev has a lot of experience in building flying boats using classic scheme, but invented this strange one. Could you please share your feedback on flying it?
Fantastic! I just saw this aircraft fly over my house as Michael Smith must have been heading back to his strip near the YouYangs. Very quite. And I thought, "Hang on, I don't know what that is!" But I went straight to flight radar24 and discovered it is an L65 SeaBear from Russia!! A very nice aircraft, I really love the landing flaps, they look really efficient/effective. One question, I recognized the music on the video, I've heard it before but I just can't place it. Can anyone help me?? I look forward to spotting you again VH-OMS!
I feel that the wheel sticking out makes it look a bit weird. Other than that, it looks pretty good. I have a few questions, and the questions are: 1. Is it pressurised (I doubt so) 2. Does it have some kind of parachute for safety 3. How much do the propellers obstruct the view 4. Do the wheels at the back retract 5. Is it air conditioned Sorry for asking so many questions, I might have more though.
1. 'Is it pressurised' Nope: Service ceiling = 4000m 2. 'Does it have some kind of parachute for safety' Nope: parachute safety system has (almost) no sense for 2-engine aircraft. Manufacturer claims that in case of single-engine failure aircraft may safely finalize takeoff and land with a full load. 3. 'How much do the propellers obstruct the view' Hard question because "much" is different for each person. Seems not worse than single-engine front-mounted prop. 4. 'Do the wheels at the back retract' yes (you can see this in video) 5. 'Is it air conditioned' I have no idea. The only what I know is that manufacturer supports customization of cockpit equipment. So potentially air-conditioning system is (may be) installed.
Hello! Would it possible to contact you regarding one of your videos i.e via mail? I would love to discuss a permission to use it if this is possible. Greetings!

The ceiling seems rather low. Particularly if using turbo normalized/charged engines. What’s the reason for that?

I am wondering why it is calling an L65 when it is an L45 4 Place.
I will be buying an L65 when it has the certification.
Hello! L-45 only in first part of movie. We use L-45 for training to L-65 testing
@@seabearaircraft5898 So the Southern Sun is a L45?
@@davidsmall6914 It is L-65
What of buying L45 or L65 in EASA world?
👏👏👏👏
I guess the war and sanctions have had a serious impact on this plane
