Good on you, Jo. Putting “backing singers” like Linda and Vika front and centre where they belonged was still unusual in the 1980s. For a couple of blissful years when he did, the Black Sorrows peaked as perhaps Australia’s finest ever band; “Hold Onto Me” is my pick for Australia’s most exciting album. They’re still not given enough recognition, but at least Linda and Vika’s fame continues to grow.
I came to know them largely by chance, from four songs they perfomed for the needs of a (commendable) movie ('Four of a kind') from the land of Oz. Like good wine, Joe's voice gets better with time. This band rocks!

Jo changed the sequence of the lyrics on Raise that Lantern from the album. Not sure if the drummer and Linda were smiling about it when they heard it. I think they were.
OK ..it's 2024 ...but WTF ! a fantastic band is playing their stuff & I'am cranking it up, just for the fun of it ! .. sounds pretty fuckin great to my two old haired filled ears ..?
