    I used to see them at the Raffs, probably 88-89, nothing better than getting on the piss with ya mates head banging to some great music, miss those days and wouldn't survive it if I had to do it now, a LOT of beers were drunk at the Raffs

    I remember this band well. The 80's were great for the Perth band scene. Also it was an absolute pleasure to play along side Paul (Felts )Felton. RIP Paul.

    Perth supported such an awesome live music scene in the 80's. Thank you to The Jets for being an important part of it.
    Then we lost all the pubs that used to rock

    You could feel the heat off the flames at their shows. No way would the pyros make it through the regulations now. PS how good do they sound, no digital post production here and old recording equipment......I'm shocked how good 😮

    How many Marshalls can you play in a pub? I count six plus whatever Deany had. And don't forget the biggest double 4 way PA system in town. In a pub, in the Raffles! Ah those were the days.

    These guys could play but. . . PERTH, the only City in the world, were the Top Draw Card is a Cover Band.
    All the bands/artists writing original music, played to small crowds in the city.
    Before (most) going to the East Coast to record and became appreciated.

      And these songs learnt by stop start on a casset for much of it,no you tube or sheet music available in this particular year,on the money every dynamic.

    • @_desertwalker_
      @_desertwalker_ Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, I was in one of those original bands. We were called Cut n Run and used to play the old melbourne, City Hotel, toured up and down the coast and finally went to Sunny Melbourne, plating at the espy in St kilda, and at the Punters club. Nver regret those days. Perth music scene still sucks

    • @daz4627
      @daz4627 Месяц назад +1

      When international bands did an Australian tour, it usually meant Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane... hardly anyone came to Perth so the only way to hear those songs were by seeing cover bands... that's why Perth was the cover band centre of the universe... you played to a handful of people if you were an original band.
