Yes - the valve itself had debris in it holding the valve open - so any zone that was told to come on would also put water thru that stuck open valve. Took the top off and cleaned out the valve and put it back together.@@jdirt9837
Mine act weird. One zone did not shut. I opened the air valve, it is different that the video. It shuts off by doing so, but I hear water flow noise. Next, I tried this with another zone, but when I tried to shut the air valve for the other zone, this time new zone turns on an never shuts. Had to turn off full irrigation system. Any idea?
Called in a sprinkler guy and he found one of the valves was plugged up and was affecting the other zones - still not sure why - but that fixed it. Go to the zone that initiates the problem and take the top off the valve and see if it is plugged up.
brand new valve of different type, won't turn off. Went back to orbit exact model, still won't turn off . Didn't get dirt it the lines, two different valves same issue. Any ideas.
I have strange problem , when I start my sprinkles system early in the morning or beafore become night it work fine , but when sun rising some valves stop to work and don’t stop water and on some zone few zone work together . Wherr is problem in rainbird controller or in valves ?
This was super helpful; thank you!
My problem is one of my zones will activate when any other zone is activated ?
Same here. Have you fixed it yet

I’m no expert but the valve turning on may be stuck open.
How did you fix that? Am going through the same problem. Don’t wanna call in a contractor
Thank you! This solved the mystery in my backyard - saved hundred$!!!
Thank you. Super helpful.
Super helpful!! Thanks very much😊

Same exact issue I’m having
Betcha this would work...if I could find the valves for the zone in question.🤨 Buried under mulch? 🤔
Valve box with cover flush with ground where pipes route to zone or zones in question. Debris can naturalky accumulate on cover over time and hide it.

I am back up an running thanks!!!

Good stuff, found to be very useful 👍🏼
Great video! Easy steps and solved my problem ❤
Thanks for the help!
Very helpful … nicely explained
Wow
Ty
Thank you!
Can you still run the sprinkler system with this issue until you are able to get it t fixed ?
I would isolate that zone to avoid flooding. I came home to all of my mulch on the Walkway and driveway.
@@swaggtastic51how would you isolate? Do I just turn off the flow control valve for that zone until I have time to replace the whole assembly?
Zone won’t come on new timer new cylinoid
