Glad I found your channel!! My S2400 is arriving somtime around June. I really appreciate the tutorial, as I will be learning beat making with this as my first piece of hardware. I will definitely be watching your video at least a few times to copy and learn from you and others. Thanx again.
Oh man you’re gonna love it! It’s such a fun, awesome sounding box. Really inspiring and a ton of happy accidents. I’m glad you found my channel helpful! I’m just getting started with the S2400 tutorials so there’ll be a lot more soon! Cheers!
Awesome content! Haven't seen anyone cover these features or they presented in a way which I couldn't sit through because they all play like a standard manufacturer description from an online retail store. Cool as hell to see how envelopes are displayed and filter setting per pad are programed!
@@ScottBrio ah ok, i wasn't sure what was avail on this box, good to hear its all three altho i'd also love a notch. anyway definitely try using HPF resonance to dial in the bass -- it lets you boost the bottom without dampening the growl, and also lifts basslines out of kick mud...
@@n_o_ Yep, I do this all the time! A notch would be nice however I find that I'm able to "mix" a bit in the S2400 using the filter knobs and resonance, just like you said- boosting the resonant frequencies of bass, high hats, synths, etc. The filters sound fantastic!
nice video -- can you trigger the 2400 via midi to play that sample across a keyboard? Is it also multi timbral (ie how many samples could you trigger at once externally) assuming 8 outs? ty !
You’ve got 8 stereo channels and outputs. If you use all mono samples, you could theoretically have 16 samples playing but you’re limited to squeezing them all out of the 8 channel outputs. The S2400 will play multiple sounds at once, but again you’re limited by how many you can fit through the 8 channels, meaning sounds inevitably start cutting each other off. This is a super cool effect called choke grouping. I just made a video on it if you’re curious: ruclips.net/video/4NUVdlWIcAg/видео.html Also, the S2400 will play sounds chromatically buy changing the MIDI mode to “pitched” on any give pad. Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers! 🍻
Button/knob combos always seem to difficult to press. Like the force is too high. I think a good dedicated button near a knob would be much more ergonomic. Or do like the older ipods were done.
Thanks dude! This thing is an absolute must have, and I don’t say that often. Come hang ASAP please! Got a new spot in the Mission so I’ll be close to the club 😎🥳
Sick tutorial! Would love to see more on the S2400 👍
@@ryanwintersmusic glad you enjoyed it- I’ll be making more in the future!
Nice vid my friend! You opened up another side to this machine for me! Salute

Great content Scott! More to the machine than on paper.
Great stuff Scott!!

So glad you enjoyed it! I do try to make them relatable. More to come soon- stay tuned!! 🙌🏼
Are you going to do any videos making a song from scratch with the new updates bit confusing
Yes! I've got this at the top of my list of videos to make :)
Holy moley this is awesome. Thank u!
12:57 would prefer dial in bass with a high pass filter resonance. are HPFs not in the cards for this?
There are high pass, band pass, and low pass filter options available for each pad/track in the filter settings. Is that what you mean?

Yoooo thanks dude! Haha This things wicked for bass lines 😜🙌🏼

Hmmm not sure what you’re experiencing- the knobs and and buttons feel very nice and high quality on my unit. They’re pro AV switches!
@@ScottBrio I mean a knob that is also a button is usually too high force to press. Especially when you need to press it a lot.
Yoooo Scott! Nice video. Defo need one. Defo need to come hang.
