Helped a stranger jump start their prius with a portable booster. Using the small strip for positive to clamp on to and it just wasn’t working. Came on here to get RUclips certified, and found your video right away. Your tip on making sure to use the wire side of the clamp is what got it going. The other side of that built in positive terminal is plastic and I had my clamp backwards. Made perfect sense once you said that key point! Sure appreciate it.
Thank you so much mate. The manual told me I had to get under the back seat. But considering I couldn't open the back doors that was a little difficult! And no tab but this saved me.
Thanks for the info. Installing alarm on the C2 and that terminal is prefect for stealing some 12V with a 10mm socket. (be careful not to bang the socket handle into the chassis ground). The cover came off with a little tugging, with the fat white 12v cable looped over it. After installing my little terminal lug on the 12V (10mm), I could not get the cover back on. It wouldn't line up correctly. The Big white wire was blocking the cover! So, I had to unplug that big fat white 12V cable (from the battery?), to get enough space to easily snap the cover back on. This alarm is a vibration sensor type, so only ground & +12 were required.. Seems to be working great!
