you sir have the best instruction on folding fitted sheets. other people start by bringing the fitted corners into each other while STANDING but your way doing that while having the sheet laying on the bed really shows how stupid the other methods are (especially martha stewart's vid). thank you much!

First time I saw the standing demonstration, I got a sheet out of the linen closet and tried it several times. Then I wadded it back up and put it back in the linen closet. LOL

I do it standing up and then I put it over a back of a chair, the majority of the time. Sometimes I fold it on the bed, but then, I'm still standing up when I'm doing the corner parts.
agreed with so many others .... standing and grouping corners results it a twisted knot of frustration ... this method is by far the easiest way to learn and understand .... thanks for pulling me back from the brink of insanity ...

A decade or so ago, I saw Martha Stewart show how to fold a fitted sheet just like you demonstrated. What a lifesaver!!! For years, I could never figure out how to fold those darn fitted sheets and my ex was obsessive compulsive concerning housework and neatness in a house. Nothing was good enough, and he used to complain about the way the linen closet looked with the fitted sheets just sloppily folded, which I would tell him, who the heck looks in the linen closet anyway????. It wasn't until after I got divorced that I just happened to see her show how to fold fitted sheets. While I will NEVER subscribe to the Martha Stewart way of doing housework and cooking, I do think she helped me tremendously with the folded sheets dilemma, and I'm so glad you are showing how to do it again. I tried to show my oldest daughter how to do it, since she is like her father with the obsessive compulsive about housework, but, I don't think she gets it yet. Thank you so much demonstrating it to another generation of people. You are saving the sanity of many, many people who are frustrated by messy folded fitted sheets. I will show your demonstration to my daughter the next time she comes by so she can watch it over and over and learn to fold her sheets properly and neatly.

First video I've seen on folding fitted sheets that is clear, makes sense and easy to follow.
Very nice for that type of fitted sheet. My problem is the fitted sheets we have, have more elastic in them. The elastic is not just in the corners, but all around the outside of the sheet. One set of sheets, in fact, has so much elastic sewn around the outside edges, that it won't lay out flat. It forms more of a circle and almost looks like a deflated air balloon. How to fold that type of sheet?
Fold it basically the same way, it just requires a bit more wrangling and is easier if you lift it up when matching corners. Two edges will not get straight but if you fold them so they are on the inside you won't see them. Hard to explain.
Just roll it in a ball. You will save sooo much time and energy. If you want it to look neat just place your rolled up balls into a cute/neat looking bin in the linen closet.

Take said sheet. Now with left hand hold said sheet at eye level grab said sheet with right hand. Roll into ball and throw into closet.... Done!

this works until you have the fitted sheets that have elastic on the long sides as well.
This method works on whether the elastic is on the short or long sides, just need to take your time and smooth the material as you are folding.

I live in a rectory with 7 guys. I watched this video, folded all of the fitted sheets as demonstrated in this video, the top sheets and pillow cases, and made a neat bundle of each set. The linen closet is organized, so no more searching for missing sheets or pillow cases. Miraculous!!!

Best video of all from a dad over all the ladies. No need to hold up in the air and flip corners inside out and all the other stuff. His was by the the easiest to understand. I can do both ways but this was the easiest to chow my 10 year old daughter.
