Hi! Thanks to you and your family for making and posting this adjustment. My slides no longer gape at the top. This is very significant for us. We are 66 & 71 years old with bad knees, on CPAP, and oxygen. My spouse is on oxygen 24/7. Dust plays havoc with our breathing. Desert SW winds here dump dust by handfuls. My travel trailer has very little dust getting inside. Our 5th wheel with 3 slides was so bad one could write their name on the floor. When dust devils hit we could actually see it sifting on the breeze of the fan. Now, we are buttoned up tight, I expect to see much less dust inside! Thank you all and God Bless. Regards...
Oh yay! We are so glad. We have to share when we learn something knew! It was a game changer in helping keep the kids rooms nice and warm during the winter months! May God bless and carry you on your journeys!
Oh we’re so glad! We’ll be renovating another camper soon- you should subscribe and follow along. It’s gonna be a total gutter 😳 Goodluck on you’re new venture. It’s worth it!
Thank you for this video… always appreciate somebody that knows how to get right to the point. Quick question… This video is about adjusting the slide vertically… Do you happen to know how to adjust the slide horizontally? My slide is connecting on the rear side but has a gap towards the front
Just like to thank you for this video... Your right living permanent in an RV takes a lot of improvement and getting used to. I dunno how you can do it with 8 people lol. But try it in Northern Massachusetts, it's been average 12° a night here and I have mine so I still have running water and the temp. inside rarely drops below 62°. If you need help with heating let me know but I doubt where you are.
Thank you! Question though, when your wife said it was all good it looked like there was still a gap, is that how its supposed to look. I'm new to rvs and didn't buy from dealer so im on my own
This part is pretty easy in my mind but what i can seem to find info on is how to make the bottom of my "up top" slide go in ie seat correctly when closed. Ive looked under the bed but i dont see anything wrong
What about the opposite ? My bottom on one side is has a gap and the floor to the slide won’t go flush with the rest of the slide out . What do I do for that ?
We were using them to insulate and keep pipes/tanks from freezing. They were free and a temporary measure. We’re now building some custom panels to insulate the under carriage:)
I think my slide is the opposite. Seems the bottom is out a little farther. Idk my slide won't come out now. Hydraulic seem to be full the motor is working. But it stopped coming out. I got it out about 6in now it won't do anything.
The two bolts he first loosened allow for horizontal adjustment of the slide as well as vertical, there are slots for both and one overlays the other allowing for adjustments in both dimensions.
Hmm, maybe it’s a little different. Hopefully, you can find a video that is more specific to your camper or issue. If it’s designed like what you see in this video, it SHOULD’VE fixed the issue. Sorry that this video wasn’t helpful. I can’t think of any other reason why it wouldn’t correct the problem.
This is an inaccurate comment - Lippert (the manufacturer of the slide hardware shown in this video) says otherwise in their videos as well as in their Through Frame Slide-outs Service Manual (re: page 14 'Horizontal and Vertical Room Adjustment'). The manufacturer does not provide torque specs for service personnel for any fasteners related this product). These are RV slides, not engines or something safety-related requiring precise to-spec fastener tightening to the point of an exact torque. The process given in this video aligns with the service manual for the product. What is 'needed' is what the manufacturer states and that is what is shown in this video.

@@itsworthit5029 Yes, I agree about learning new stuff.
Many Blessings to you and yours!
You sir, are my hero! My super slide shakes like crazy and this is exactly the video I needed
Glad we could help!
This will be a good help to me, cheers.
We just bought a secondhand 5ver and we need to adjust one of the slides.
So glad! Thanks for watching!
First time camper buyer, as well as a first time camper fixer upper! This video helped a lot, thanks man!

@@itsworthit5029 oh that would be perfect! Definitely subbing 😁👍
Thanks man! We also have a Challenger. I have the exact same problem. I'll be giving this a shot!!!

Thank you for the info. Love what your family is doing.
Thank you!
Great advise! Followed your instructions to take a 2 1/4 gap at the top Dow the 3/4” marching the bottom.
Awesome!! Glad it worked for you:)

Quick question… This video is about adjusting the slide vertically… Do you happen to know how to adjust the slide horizontally?

Thanks for the video! I now know how to fix my slider, it's nearly 2 inches off on one end 1 inch in the other end. I think I can do it myself!
Awesome!! Let us know how that works out. Thanks for watching:)
Perfect tutorial my man!
Thank you! We had to figure it out on our own since there were no existing videos explaining this. So glad we saved you the hassle.

Great video, love the music!
Bro this helps so much your a life saver, but now need a video showing how to adjust them from side to side
Based on what I know, I’d say you’d need to unscrew the rails from the floor of the slide and shift it over, then re-screw it.
This part is pretty easy in my mind but what i can seem to find info on is how to make the bottom of my "up top" slide go in ie seat correctly when closed. Ive looked under the bed but i dont see anything wrong
Ty worked like a champ
Oh good! This always makes us so happy to hear! Thanks for watching AND reaching out:)
Do I have to adjust anything on the long bar or just the plate. Sorry my first RV, and learning how to use tools at the same time
Thank you so much! Lifesaver!
Glad it was helpful!
Is the rest of the trailer ( main body) level? TY, for Any help!
Yes. It needs to be level before you make any adjustments.
Assuming this will work with the opposite? Where the top touches first and the bottom sticks out?
Appreciate the upload!
Oh good! Thanks for watching!
What about the opposite ? My bottom on one side is has a gap and the floor to the slide won’t go flush with the rest of the slide out . What do I do for that ?
I have a two inch gap on the interior part of my slide out. How should I adjust this?
Why do you have hay bales under your slide? Do I need to do it.?

Which 4 bolts? 2 on each side. Or 4 on each side
Jeff made a little TikTok for you to hopefully clarify.

You know where the adjust meant for side to side? One side seems to come in tighter as it should the other still decent but not like the other side
The two bolts he first loosened allow for horizontal adjustment of the slide as well as vertical, there are slots for both and one overlays the other allowing for adjustments in both dimensions.
Does this fix the gap on top of the slide?
Yes, this particular video is addressing the gap at the top where the top is leaning in even though the bottom is touching at the bottom.
Does anyone have advice for slides tilted the opposite way?? > space at bottom = unlevel/low at outer edges...
Same thing, just turn the bolt the other way.

Yeah. Told my wife that once, didn't go well.

Remove the hay bail?
I got a 15 in
Thank You so much
Thank you for watching!
Looks like you still have a pretty good gap.
After the adjustment, you can use the controls to run the slide out more if it still has a slight gap.
Awesome thank u!
You’re welcome! Have you encountered this issue? The wonder things about RV’s that you learn as you go;)
i did that adjustmant to my momtana 5th wheel but it didnt help it still tiped

Why are there bales of straw?
It was insulation for our first 2 winters because it was free:)
@@itsworthit5029 Gotcha!
That’s some expensive insulation/skirting if that’s what it’s only use is
Free
Holly shttt… 6 kids?.. y’all need to step out to the RV for a while.. 🤣🤣🤣
If the 5th wheels a rockin… don’t come a knocking. “Kids go play outside!” 🤣
Those nuts need torqued and slippage marked

Hope your hay doesn’t catch on fire
It never did, we actually removed it a year ago and built a permanent skirting this fall.
i did this and it didnt work top is still in adj all the way
Try bringing your slide in a little. It might be too tight at the bottom.
Try bringing your slide in a little. It might be too tight at the bottom.
The problem now is your floor is not level.
No, the floor was out of level, the adjustment fixes both issues. 👌🏼
All I saw in this video was the diy fire bomb and rodent farm y'all installed around the rv.
6 kids?
Jesus christ..
Yup! Our preferred chaos:)
