First day as a carpenter 17 years old I somewhere around 1992I buy a brand new tool pouch brand new Hammer brand new saw my dad looks at me and says you better drag all that s*** through the mud on your way to the job or they'll all laugh at cha
It’s different nowadays, new tools means you did the work to afford them. I used to get laughed at too showing up with new tools, but guess who still has those tools and still uses them 😂
They call me Mr. Milwaukee at work yet only half of my tools at work are Milwaukee…lol! Since I’m an aircraft mechanic, I can only use so much of Milwaukee’s automotive tools the rest are specialty tools. At home that’s me…lol!
The only Milwaukee power tools are my ratchet and impact. Everything else is a mix of DeWalt, Makita, Hilti, and Ryobi. So many batteries, so many chargers…. Lack of uniformity was the only downside.
@@robster7787 being retired Army and still working with some of my old Army folks for a foreign military, uniformity is a huge part of life…lol. I kept it simple for work with the power tools and use only my M12 power tools!

You have the dewalt old heads that spend more time looking for their tools than they do work. Then you have the super organized guys. Who have their tools in cases. Dewalt rigid Milwaukee. They all have modular cases now. They roll in and complete the job then roll out. Then you have the Mexicans that roll in, but theirs are filled with Coronas and ice. Then you have the clueless contractor who has all the bells boxes and whistles, but doesn’t have a fucking clue. No amount of organization can help the last type of worker. Nothing wrong with looking good while you kick ass. 🤷♂️
Theres one guy who shows up to the supply house with a box truck and he literally has like 50 grand worth of milukakee tools and boxes, its stupid crazy and he has flags and everything else and his truck is immaculate!!! But he only gets a washer box and a mini vent hahaha!!!
