My early Lynx pivot pins backed out. 22D promptly sent me new toe assemblies at no charge. Excellent service 👍
Personally, I wouldn't want a softer plate. In fact, I installed the spring spacers for an even more active feel.
EDIT: Based on the active vs. stiffness video Josh posted below- adding spring spacers increase stiffness, not activity. I think I have my SLIC pins in the middle holes.
