***** Yeah I know. I had a seriously hopped up 5B SS. It was a porker and never could get it to handle. I went back to 10th scale nitro and electrics and haven't looked back.
Nothing like the sound & smell of Nitro in the air..Thanks for another awesome video. I still have my old 2wd Rustler,(full aluminum shelf queen) ahh the memories I can remember on the good days...good job my friend.
I got one of these super cheap. But it has the brushless conversion. It's beyond crazy powerful. All the fun of this truck without the downside of nitro... So much fun.
Lol that 2 stroke pipe drowns out that whinny 3.3 :D I have a traxxas slayer 3.3, converted to a trophy truck :D I love the 3.3, it's done fairly well for me!
Damn you medic now I need to pull my revo 3.3 out and finish breaking in the new motor I put in it two years ago. xD. Ahh nitro problems how I love and miss you
I have a traxxas S-Maxx TRX 2.5 is made for the track and it does well with dirt and dust and but now it is electric converted and nice job on the video
Tell your buddy to cut the windshield it didn't take much to cook them motor s it took me 2 years and about 8 engines to finely get them to run perfect now I can get about 3 gallons of fule out of a poison sleeve good luck guys i would love to go run with u guys I've been watching your channel for a long time you're the best matic
I laughed the whole time. Omg, just move people! I’m going no matter what, lmao. It reminded me of somebody walking ito a wall, only to get up and walk into it again. Just keep going. I’m still laughing.
I just bought a Revo 3.3, and can't wait to get it out back and bash it a bit. I would take nitro or gas over electric and day. I had a Traxxas Rustler electric with the XL-5 ESC, and it was a piece of junk. Slow, sluggish, and wouldn't turn to save it's life. So I sold it, and got the Revo. I had a TMaxx 2.5 and it was a beast, but not enough power. Front A Arms kept breaking. And it wouldn't hold a tune.
Kyosho makes great R/C's and I'm not sure about parts availability on them. Revo is running great, and still working good with minimal breakage. I don't know a lot about the Kyosho truggies, but I now have a Slash sct, and I love it! It's all a matter of preference, and what you want to spend, so do your research on them, and you can go from there. There are a ton of aftermarket parts for Traxxas vehicles.
I have this truck but dang all the stuff that wears out on it.. my main spur gear turned into melted plastic and it has more wearable clutch materials than you can shake a stick at... ive needed to rebuild the slipper clutch but went ahead and did the engine clutch too... there is also the break with uses a clutch like material but that one still looks good on mine. its a really fun truck but you gotta maintain it to keep it happy... and running.
That revo looks like it handles very poorly on that track. I'm almost wondering if it's that center diff. The front end is probably spinning too much and so the back end isn't getting out enough to make a turn. Could be wrong though, i'm not there.
Revo aint ment for the track, I have a big block converted nitro revo 3.3 thats just ment for bashing, I had a Revo 2.5 ment for race set up, never did well in open class racing
On my slayer which us identical tonthe revo even with the 500k diff oil it was slipping too much in front. No traction. Traxxas only has one set of spider gears in the diff unlike 1/8 scale cars. I think the tranny could be tuned a lil on the revo also
I was running a OS18tm on my 2.5 revo was using 200k diff oil it did well, I always had tranny problems, so then I switched to the 3.3 tranny it did well. Just that I hated it and sold it, and built another Revo 3.3 thats primarily for bashing
I have a E-Revo, but god didn't the 3,3 look small next to that green truck. LOL! I'ff been playing with the idea of extending the length of a E-Revo. Like I.ff seen Medic do with a HPI Savage. About a week ago I decided to use a 2'nd hand 3,3 as a donor to start from. Ther a bit cheaper than brushless E-Revo's and was going to use its aluminium chassis anyway. Build a roll cage to make it look like a buggy and ad some stiffness. Is there anything I should keep an eye on buying a 2'nd hand 3,3?
Love my Jato 3.3 I've never had an problem with tuning, set the carb after brake in and haven't touched it since. I geared it down so it would stay under 60mph.
I LOVE HOW YOU KEEP SAYING NITRO IS A PROBLEM HERE IN CALGARY way easier to tune here then back home in manitoba with the extreme hot and cold and humidity calgary is a breaze to tune in i heard leathbridge is tuff tho im going to can more this weekend see how hard the tune is ther
Battery cars are a bit boring because they dont have any engine sound, battery cars sound pretty much the same with their turbine sound and frankly it just does not fit a vehicle in my opinion. And this is definitely part of the driving experience when you drive R/C cars. The sound of the car makes the hole difference, every engine, every pipe have there own sound, even the fuel brand makes a difference. Cool sound from cool cars....over and out !
the gas ones are cool, they don't run out of gas fast like the battery ones. I have 4 but they are not the big ones, just can run less then an hour on my batterys. I had a recharge motorcycle one, and a car. But they was old ones gave to me. I gave the car to a kid, and I still have the motorcycle, The motorcycle never did work.
I would like to imagine what that monster would be like with a 6.2 (.38) My truck is already a beast with a 4.6 (.28) to the point I nicknamed it the 'expensive stripper' because parts are very hard to find and are expensive yet it just strips all gears possible, as of now it has been FWD for well over 6 months it's that hard to find parts.
Not putting your truck down but my Novarossi 2.5 Slayer Pro would eat your Revo. If you want to use a 3.3 I would start with a fresh 3.3 put an O.S. .21tm carb on it and do a proper heat cycle break-in. Ceramic bearings will help take a load off the con-rod too. After that you will have a very powerful and reliable rig. Sway bars are a must on that style chassis as well.
Pugs yes they DO. if your temps get to hot you can crack the block or snap a rod, or if it gets hot enough, the exhaust in the pressure line will heat the fuel in the tank and cause bubbles in the gas line, causing an even more lean condition. Small block engines like this crap out around 300-350, and this sucker was definitely in the 300 range. When you tune an engine you tune for peak performance, then temp it, if its too hot, you dial it down 1/16th of a turn, and usually that will drop the temps down enough and you can go back to running 20-30 minute intervals with 15 minute breaks in between intervals to allow the engine to head cycle. Small blocks are happy usually around 230 degrees on a perfect tune, and by the end of the 30 minute interval they will have crept up to 250. Big block engines (.28 and up) are happy around 250 and will top out between 280-300 at the end of a 30 minute run. For a big block engine with a good heatsink, these temps are no problem. Though it does help to add an exhaust cooler to the pressure line to prevent bubbles in the fuel line.
+5dmc1 +5dmc1 What about 60 minute races? A tuned engine will reach a peak temprature. Since ALL engines are different, even the same model of engine they will run at different temps. Theres no way you know what temp that engine in the video was running at nor does it really matter if your engine is TUNED. I would never change the state of my tune because of temperature. If i feel like the engine is tuned it could be running at 200 or 300 cause i know its not running lean. Tune by sound and feel. not by temps
Pugs we are looking at a Revo here, a basher truck. I am a basher, and bashers like to make their engines last as long as possible while still having fun. Now, if your a racer who has the money to blow buying a new engine every couple races, then yeah, temps dont matter, I have a friend who races nitro who abides by this philosophy. And for winning, it works, but for bashing, you tune by sound and feel first, then if its too hot, you tone it down a bit to keep it safe. I can tell by sound, in this video by how hi-pitch that sucker is, there is no way he is in a safe tune. That thing is near perfect, but on the lean side, which is why it is running the way it is. I also recommend sealing any new nitro engine. I seal every engine I buy right out of the box with hi-temp gasket material on the back plate and carb body, and use AE Green Slime on the needles, then let it sit over night to cure. It will solve any air leaks and prevent random lean conditions that make tuning a nightmare. So, for racing, yes, what you say is absolutely true, and it is why alot of racers have an engine for every race, they know its going to loose alot of compression in its first race from running hot and lean, so they have another engine, broken in and ready for the next one, and when they finish a race, they go and buy another one and break it in for when the next engine is done. Tis the life of a nitro racer. But again, as I stated in the beginning. We are talking about a basher truck, I am a basher, and as I dont like to go and spend 120-400 dollars depending on the engine, every time I go out for a run, I like to keep her in a safe temp range. Good Day!
I would kindly tell those dudes with their trucks just sitting on the straightaway to get out of the way. It’s like they are trying to take you out,lol t he green one toward the end just like lunged at the revo as it passed him basically sitting still. That track is for some reason kinda depressing though..
ryan ingli Lmao, if you get an octane that will stay running :p If he is running the long travel rockers on the revo, it makes it tough to control when it gets to speed. Most of the ones I knew that put them on, took them right back off. Great platform for sure though.
The 3.3 gets too hot even with a good tune. I have one in a wr8/bullet with the losi carb. Runs great till you try a second tank while its hot. Dose not act like a racing engine like it says on the box. All my os and nova engines run all day no problem.
I'm not gay but I love this guy would love to meet him one day that's how you go all out for throttle I would love to take my nitro jato on that track all day

@@bigballmagrawl0929 wish I had time to 😂
That truck is tuned nicely.
We need more NITRO CONTENT PLEASE GOD BLESS YOU
the thing i love about nitro is the sound
Haha I love it that the little nitro is schmoking the gas burners.
the "little" nitro weighs 1/4 of what the BEASTS are.. Of course its faster.
***** Yeah I know. I had a seriously hopped up 5B SS. It was a porker and never could get it to handle. I went back to 10th scale nitro and electrics and haven't looked back.
wwit63 @HVAC,\
Jayson Faustino?
Nothing like a little throwback binge
Wow! That mototor may last a day!
this video is the definition of " when in doubt, throttle out " lol love it
traxxas da revo deu o show em cima dos baja super piloto ....brasil é nos.....
That nitro was a beast just juking the Green truck!! :)
Oh
I’m so glad I have an actual 1/8 scale track undercover with jumps everywhere to go race my buggy at.
Nothing like the sound & smell of Nitro in the air..Thanks for another awesome video. I still have my old 2wd Rustler,(full aluminum shelf queen) ahh the memories I can remember on the good days...good job my friend.
Nice. And I like a guy that uses a good radio. Futaba 4PKS
That was awesome 👍
Traxxas Revo the best RC-Nitro car epic don’t you think .
I got one of these super cheap. But it has the brushless conversion. It's beyond crazy powerful. All the fun of this truck without the downside of nitro... So much fun.
all the downsides of nitro?? go charge your batteries.
hahahhaa nice one. but seriously, nitro is a handfull and not for someone who is just starting
nitro is awesom, electric motors have no soul
Lol that 2 stroke pipe drowns out that whinny 3.3 :D I have a traxxas slayer 3.3, converted to a trophy truck :D I love the 3.3, it's done fairly well for me!
Damn you medic now I need to pull my revo 3.3 out and finish breaking in the new motor I put in it two years ago. xD. Ahh nitro problems how I love and miss you
I love the revo 3.3. I have the erevo brushless. They are awesome!! Great vid. Thanks!
Now medic probably wants a nitro revo :P
nice medic. can't wait for the summer videos to come!
I have a traxxas S-Maxx TRX 2.5 is made for the track and it does well with dirt and dust and but now it is electric converted and nice job on the video
Lol. Revo 3.3 flying around the gassers. Go nitro!
great video as always medic
and dude you are a great fillmer!
Tell your buddy to cut the windshield it didn't take much to cook them motor s it took me 2 years and about 8 engines to finely get them to run perfect now I can get about 3 gallons of fule out of a poison sleeve good luck guys i would love to go run with u guys I've been watching your channel for a long time you're the best matic
love my revo 3.3 a monster truck that drives like a sports car...

RakinBill how is the revo doing....I was told to get a kyosho truggy instead of a revo...keep in mind I have the t max 3.3 n jato...what you think?

There are a ton of aftermarket parts for Traxxas vehicles.
That thing really hauls.....
I own a heavily modified revo. It is a blast to drive and hard to break once you replace the stock push rods with the aluminum ones.
skate park pain is coming up !!!!!! oh yeah !
Nope, its not. Skate Park Pain is being filmed by Crawler Ted this year. I am spending the day with my Son :)
***** Family come before Rc's!
oh ok ! you live in Vancouver don't you ?
13biskit30 Calgary :)
I passed by in Calgary ! darn maybe next time I could stop by and meet ya ? I was traveling to anchorage Alaska , we even stopped in Calgary lol!
Now if I could only get mine to run like that, or at least stay running... LOL Keep up the great work DUDE!!!
wow he sure did lower the suspention! it looks like a truggy
Dan's Revo is a big truck until it's on the track with a couple Bajas, surprised he wasn't using his 5T or 5ive.
Tip, he needs to adjust the two speed shift point to shift earlier and run close ratio gears

Lol i was running a hpi k5.9 (.36). It was a beast
my eyes even hurt from all the dust. lol
in southern ga our air is thick with lots of humidity the air is usually almost saturated and with osengines powered tmaxx 3.3 is no problem
The new 1/10 scale gas cars look cool.......
the suspension seemed pretty dialed in.
I have a E-Revo, but god didn't the 3,3 look small next to that green truck. LOL! I'ff been playing with the idea of extending the length of a E-Revo. Like I.ff seen Medic do with a HPI Savage. Looks like he might want to turn down the expo on the steering tho. Little bit touchy.
Medic, do you hove a revo of your own? I remember in scate park pain you said you might get one? I just got the vxl and love it deeply.
nice video medic. just to let you the new losi mini 8 truggy is out on sale
New intro? The current one is good but like to see a new one
Apart from Tradition - if you could make me a better one, that would be awesome
need to change the shift point on that revo to be sooner and it will go even faster
Was there any smoke coming out of the exhaust? Also, I don't think it ever got out of 1st gear.
That thing was ripping 1st gear almost the whole time XD
It did it just hard to hear, and yes there was smoke coming out of the exhaust
Love my Jato 3.3 I've never had an problem with tuning, set the carb after brake in and haven't touched it since. I geared it down so it would stay under 60mph.
Les Shambrook lol
More of the 1/8 scale cars please
buddy does pretty good going around! might be new to nitro but not to the hobby!
i love nitro! i see why your not into it though (elevation)
Revo in my opinion is better than any maxx truck
I LOVE HOW YOU KEEP SAYING NITRO IS A PROBLEM HERE IN CALGARY way easier to tune here then back home in manitoba with the extreme hot and cold and humidity calgary is a breaze to tune in i heard leathbridge is tuff tho im going to can more this weekend see how hard the tune is ther
+josh smith STOP SCREAMING
at 2;50 my kyosho neo inferno did the same thing... classic nitro
Was the 2 speed replaced with a one speed?
revo is very fast!!!

Whats the suspensión set up ?
Does the revo wing actually provide notiseble downforce?
+Joel Ljungberg It does help quite a bit. I have one on mine, and it really helps with higher speeds.
Where did you buy the spoiler??
hey what tip of remot did he have
i have a question...i have the revo with a os 21 tm, any suggestions on how to shave weight to make the car lighter??? "stock parts"
carbon fiber parts lol
Starter box with back plate
What are those tires?
What kind of tires are those? new rc'er
Justin Vro 3.8 dished wheels with nobed tires
Hey Djmedic why dont you get a nitro car yourself unless you already have one that is ? so why not take the risk because I have one to?
What tires and wheel set up is on this
Can anyone tell me what wheel/tire combo the Revo has on it?
Why don't you ever show nitro is awesome i two tmaxx 3.3 and one nitro sport .15. :)
The only problem with nitros at the track is that it sounds like people are having a weed Wacker competition.
Hey medic, do u know where he got that revo and how much it was?
Aidan Mueller 550$ at traxxas.com
Hi wondering if u could help I have a brushless short course truck and it will go forward but I have no brake and no reverse?
FUNNY FUDGE MAN not all nitros have reverse
Any savage vids

Tom Parry he had a bigger carb
how is that thing not overheating? or is it and he just doesnt care?
I'm so sure that thing was running in the 300 degree F range. It was tuned for speed for sure.
I would lean that engine even more if it were me. Its not reaching full power. And temps of a tuned engine dont matter.

what kind of wheels are those
what's the difference between gas,and nitro rc's?
+Evan baker nitro is a mixture of methanol, nitromethan and oil, gas is regular gas like from a gas station.
My whole stable is Revos and one Slayer (RUclips search slayer v car 😊(Oops, got her))
Damn eBay, I just brought another Revo tonight.
How much would that cost for a nitro truck like that?
Canh Tran $609 USD at Traxxas.com
I would kindly tell those dudes with their trucks just sitting on the straightaway to get out of the way. howcome his revo sounds so much different than mine? mine is all stock too
Brendan MX one chamber exhaust
is the revo worth it???
Joseph Altamirano yea
They should make a electric start for nitro rc car
Franklin Ayres ehm there is
I think every traxxas nitro does come with that. If not all, almost all of them. Including the revo.
I was really considering a Losi 8ight-T until I saw this video, now idk what to do
wow never let's off the gad does he
My jato 3.3 doesnt shift well... untill I made an exauhst pipe extension out of a soda can
Ha ha '1' of the problems with nitro. Yep they are a pain in the ass, but oh so awesome when you get a good run out of them (-;
Подвеску на Revo занизить ему надо было, меньше бы переворачивался
Why don't u get a revo? U don't have any nitros but u have project large so u should get a nitro
I'm not interested in owning a Nitro right now - maybe later
***** You could go with a savage xl octane. Its gasoline :-p
ryan ingli
Lmao, if you get an octane that will stay running :p If he is running the long travel rockers on the revo, it makes it tough to control when it gets to speed. Most of the ones I knew that put them on, took them right back off. Great platform for sure though.
*****
Ya....
There is a mamba monster e revo :p
this sounds like my cr500 speed up x5
The 3.3 gets too hot even with a good tune. I have one in a wr8/bullet with the losi carb. Runs great till you try a second tank while its hot. Dose not act like a racing engine like it says on the box. All my os and nova engines run all day no problem.
My 810 with the losi3.4 runs all day also too bad the 3.4 is discontinued!
I have that car to :D
Dirty messy nitro
what rims and tires
gun guy dished wheels with 3.8 nobed tires
I'm not gay but I love this guy would love to meet him one day that's how you go all out for throttle I would love to take my nitro jato on that track all day
