- Just making one drawer to hold the contents of four, I kinda thought they'd be bigger than they actually turned out but am very happy with the result anyway.

This channel is very underrated. With this kind of content and production value, you should be on YT's home page. Keep it up!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy my videos.
I like it and your fine work.
I build a similar one too a few years ago. But after two years or so, I regret it.
Because you got dirt traped in the little compartments. The few last tiny little items are always hiding in the corners ans are hard to grab so I have to take some needle nose pliers. If I had a new type of screw, I always hat to rearrange to whole drawer (my inner Adrian Monk, sorry). If I want to take some parts to another location, like in the house or a jobside, i always have to use a seperate box and take parts out of its compartment and after the work, put it back in.
All in all, I wanna have seperate compartments to take out. So I took the fixed dividers out again.
First I want it replace with some selfmade MDF-boxes (like Marius Hornberger or Jer Schmidt), but want to avoid the work to fabricate dozens of boxes.
At this time I bought my first 3D-Printer. And for these boxes the printer was a perfect tool. So I printet first a few test boxes and after a few iterations I developed a scalable grid system for my drawers. Till today I use it all over my workshop.
Later Alexandre Chappel developt a similar system, for anyone who is interestet what it looks like...
Thanks for the info, you make some good points and only time will tell how I will feel about this solution. At the moment I'm very happy with this. In my case this drawer only has machine screws and they will mainly be used a few centimetres away on the bench above, this is where I assemble most of my projects.
Great work, dude. Your shop, your design/rules, but I can't help but think those tiny compartments would prevent me and my sausage-y fingers from grasping tiny screws, etc. However, it works for you, which is most important.
Thanks, the smallest of the compartments measure 40 mm x 65 mm, so not too small to be inconvenient.
Beautiful job buddy. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks.👍
awesome work
