Thank you so much for this! I tried Dunkin’s version and had the same experience as you but I made this at home last night and wow!!! Best grilled cheese I’ve ever had, going to be making this regularly from now on
@@GoodFoodsGoodMood Love your version. DD is a rip off. They can't even make a decent donut any more let alone make a great cup of coffee. Wish you could set them straight and show them how to do things right.
Thank you so much for sharing your version. I cannot wait to try it! My dunkin sandwhich was so delicious and full of ingredients though, just thought I'd share that
My first thought when I tried this at Dunkin was 'I have to do one at home, make it even better!' Dunkin was good flavor, but squishy, too mushy. Good job!
This looks delicious. You could use a thin layer of mayo instead of butter and olive oil for frying. It creates a crisp outer crust and you don't taste the mayo.
I have never made pesto, because pine nuts are crazy expensive - thank you, thank you for a pesto recipe I can make without nuts. I put a tiny bit of onion in mine and I loved it. I also never roasted tomatoes before. I followed your recipe today & my sandwich was phenomenal!! I am only sad that I didn’t make two right away! I will make this again! Mahalo!!
@@GoodFoodsGoodMood You're welcome! I wish I could do more. I tried your method today, and it kicked BUTT! SO GOOD! The only thing, though, is I used provolone instead of white cheddar because when I went grocery shopping, my dumb brain just couldn't remember white cheddar, lol. It turned out great! Your lemon juice in the pesto was something I never thought to do. I was always taught to make pesto without the lemon, but the lemon juice just made the texture and everything better. The thyme on the tomatoes? *Chef's kiss* The sandwiches were a hit with the whole family. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this dissection! You rock!
You’re welcome :) Glad it was a hit and still worked out Great! Yes I notice the lemon juice also keeps the pesto bright green for awhile too. Glad you all enjoyed it! :)
Thank you for the breakdown. I'm def going to make this at home, but when I tried it at Dunkin mine had a lot of pesto and tomatoes. I think something went wrong with the one you got. Edited for spelling.
You're welcome! That would be unfortunate if I didn't get a normal one from Dunkin', although I have a feeling the homemade one will still be better imo... Hope you enjoy yours! :-)
Still, how much cheese did the Dunkin' version have and how toasted was it? Those are pretty key factors to me when it comes to making a grilled cheese.
@@joshuawenninger6439 I found it had enough cheese for me (I can't quantify it for you, sorry), and a good amount of pesto. It was very well toasted...hot and crispy, and I actually had to let it sit for a few minutes before I could eat it. I have no doubt that the home made version is better though.
Thank you for this.. I know a year has past since you've made this, and with all due respect, maybe you have already realized that you put the lemon into the squeezer the wrong way.. flipping it over will press out more juice (as you probably already know).. again.. respect man! Well done recipe!
Your version 100% better. It's too bad dunkin don't put the effort in to making them as good as your version, they have their stuff prepped its a matter of using more of the ingredients like you mentioned. They would probably charge a bit more, for me I'd rather pay more and get a great sandwich then pay 5 bucks for a so-so sandwich!
I think you got a bad employee or tired employee to make you that bad sandwich, or are they premade like Starbucks all the employees do is toast the sandwiches if a customer wants it toasted 🤔
This looks so good, but it is too decadent. 4 slices of cheese! Oh no. It is really all about the taste of the roasted tomatoes. More tomatoes no need for so much cheese.
The Tomato Pesto Grill Cheese sandwiches I've had at Dunkin Donuts had more than enough ingredients on it and tasted delicious
Mine as well...
Was loaded and good
I agree with you , I had the sandwich it was delicious
I agree with you , I had the sandwich it was delicious
It depends on how they make it. Most workers don’t seem to make it thoughtfully
@@heav2582yeah because they work at a minimum wage job don’t expect 5 stars meals

I absolutely love this sandwich. I'd love to try to make it myself so I can have one whenever I want
Love this sandwich. I will start making my own for breakfast. Thank you!

just tried this recipe!!! it’s amazing ! ty!
Thank you for sharing! I’m definitely going to have to make it myself soon!! Looks delicious!!!
My sandwich had much more ingredients from DD but I am definitely making this version at home! Yummy!!

You’re right needs more pesto and cheese, this sandwich is my favorite but today I decided to make it myself, yummy thx for the recipe.
Wow that looks amazing. Can’t wait to try this one. Thanks again for sharing 💕
Looks so yummy! Great video will definitely try this at home.
Thanks for this video Awesome going to make mines today 🤘🤘
I have had 2 and both were full of cheese and tomatoes. Very good.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Leina 😊🙏

Love that crunch 😋
thank you great recipe
Yum! I love a good copycat recipe! I recently perfected the Chick-Fil-A cookie recipe and my life has never been the same! 🤣🤣
Can you share the cookie recipe pleasee 😢
Thanks for a copy of this dunkin' Donut sandwich recipe bro I tasted it before it was good 👍
Your version looks very filling and delicious I will make this😋
This looks so good
Dude!!! that looks so good. Do you have a drive-thru window,,, I'm in
Man, you make me break my diet at 6am-Chicago time-😂😂😇😇it looks scrumptious

@@GoodFoodsGoodMood I have no doubt your version is better! Homemade usually is. 😊
They're supposed to put like five of those tomato slices /pieces on there at Dunkin.
MADE THIS AT HOME AND IT WAS SOOO GOOD 😩🙌🏾
Awesome!! Yup it’s Soo GOOD! 👍🏽👍🏽
Ugh, so good! Thank you.

Starbucks tomato pesto and mozzarella is excellent!❤
They must have listened because mine was great. Good amount of stuff on it and nice and crispy crunchy! 🙂
Oh I'm making this 😊
Thanks! Making this now 😋
Believe me copycat version is looking more tastier then dunkins. Smarty. Good job.
Its taste much better and juicy. Ill add some ham to it too for more filler option.
My thoughts exactly 💯. Where's the cheese?
How to roast the tomatoes properly in an air fryer? Can’t get it right
Looks soo delicious!! Can't wait to make it! Mahalo 🥪

Agreed 💯%!
I think expecting a more quality grilled cheese for the same 5 bucks is not asking much.
I've been to multiple dunkin donuts and none of them have had enough pesto or cheese on them.
Two words... "Add bacon", thank me later 😎
Delicioso y mejor que dunkin
Roma tomato’s 🍅
It’s more like toasted bread not grilled and they gave me lots of tomatoes and pesto- but I made it better!
Stop eating it and give me a bite lol

speak for yourself! the more cheese the better!
