I’m planning to single turbo N54 swap an M3 and the electronics are the only thing I haven’t tracked down and figured out. Since you guys are doing the inverse of what I’m planning, I’d really love to know more about what electronic issues you ran into!
Hi Zach, thanks for watching in. The electronics are tricky, and about the same amount of effort to goto an N54 backwards from an S65. The best way to do this is to have both cars side by side and work on one circuit at a time. There is not direct instructions on how to do this, but it can certainly be done with patience and careful following of the BMW wiring diagrams.

Lovely build Brintech Customs. The S65 is known to be relatively light for a DOHC V8 but how did you guys feel the car handled around corners? Is it noticeably nose heavy? Thanks!
Hi Smilepermile - the S65 is extremely well balanced in the 1 series chassis. Its shorter than the N54 and better distributed for weight. We cannot fault the the combo of this drivetrain in a 1 series chassis, except that it puts the E92 M3 on show a little ;)

The front is genuine 1M parts and the rear is aftermarket guards retrofitted with genuine 1M rear bumper
Entire quarter replacement or aftermarket flare alone? Any issues with cracking/flex?

what have you changed that the spray nozzles do not touch the microfilter?
We used nozzles from a Mini

N55 is a twin scroll, not twin turbo.

You must have some sort of technical wizard to make everything work together. Great stuff guys. It’s a beautiful machine
