Yo Zain is COMPLETELY NUTS. Since when did he become the Syrox of Marth? Dude was moving quicker than any other Marth out there, and with consistent tech, kinds that you never see with Marth. I'm loving all these Marths on the come-up (finally), between Zain and Rishi (Smashgod) making strides lately, and The Moon leading the pack.

As good as The Moon, Zain, and Smashgod have been with Marth this year, they still don't compare to M2K's Marth. Still, they've been hitting their stride this year, that's for sure.
J3 Omega m2k plays a completely different marth from newborn marth players.
This is true. M2K's Marth is so different, and that is both positive and negative for his play. As it stands though, not many people in general can match up to M2K, much less other Marths.
However, if we take M2K out of the equation, you start to see a lot of other Marths rising up. Zain got 5th at Smash Con beating Rishi, Chu, and SFAT. The Moon got 3rd at GOML and 7th at EVO (Getting a win over Leffen at EVO), and Rishi is just generally improving. I'd love for this to be the year Marth wins something, as I love watching some Marth play.

What I really like about GIMR's highlights are the lengths of the clips. He always like to have a few seconds of preface to understand the situation, and then waits until the game isn't about to start another crazy moment. Kinda weird way of explaining it, but with other highlights, I sometimes feel like they cut mid juicy moment. Not VG tho

I'm suprised so many people are angry at the Axe Vs Hbox match-up. I for one thought Axe taking Hbox to Game 5 with Young Link was the highlight of this tournament, and that reverse timeout was fucking beautiful.

Look, the mario pick wasn't that unusual. I get that he never did it but if you think about it, he hates getting chaingrabbes with fox/falco, falcon still gets chaingrabbed to death, axe is REALLY good against marth, and then mario has a decent matchup against pikachu

I think M2K is amazing but a Hbox vs Mango GF would have been super hype
People need to play way more campy against Jiggly puff. Neutral hit by neutral hit. Little damage at a time. People need to stop trying to KO her early. In other games, if their defense was better, you respect it and win another way. These smashers need cross over to other games to see. If they learned, Jiggly could become non existent. This tournaament showed that.
