I love how both hbox & plup, each in a different game, saw their opponent removing his headphones and then giving them some space in-game before resuming the fight (plup didn't abuse hbox talking, hbox waited for plup on the other side before he was sure plup was ready)

@@IggyNon Yeah Plup was the only fox and he only uses it as a secondary for the puff matchup, just like the rest of the top 6, beside hungrybox obviously.
Hungrybox, hate him or not, is very emotional. Instead of popping off like his winners finals game, for grands he decided to let everyone including himself cheer up and cheer on axe. Yeah. Doesn't add up to the way Leffen and other players talk about him. Hbox is a true competitor, no matter what character he plays or how much beef he can have with other players. The ending of the finals proved that.

You mean with the headphone thing? They were having audio problems. People came up to fix it twice and it still didn't work. Needless to say the players were frustrated.

AlphaRidley7272 the entire production was so weird. There has never been any problems the other years. This year top 8 had bad sound mix, muffled game audio and dark visuals, and also no crowd mic. A damn shame

Something about the way HBox camped Axe for 5 games then held his hand up to the crowd feels so dirty.
I love how silent in comparison it was when a certain someone won.
It reminds me of M2K vs aMSa where at first M2K won the first round and the crowd was silent. Then once aMSa won the next round, the crowd was hyped up.

The yoshi/sheik match-up for yoshi seems literally impossible.
This tournament was one of the first I watched live when first getting into melee and man was it good. It made Axe my favorite player but it also made me go from hating hbox to respecting the guy and seeing hes not the bad guy people make him out to be.
He rlly isnt. Hes just playing the game like the other competitors.

Ivo Villescas no, up throw sends pika to high. He has to do a jab rest or rest out of nowhere which would be dangerous against axe cause if you miss, he’ll upsmash puff to death

The new thing here is that the meta used to be that puff would simply rest marth or go for down air, but Hbox came up with a new meta by singing to essentially make marth's landing lag a LOT longer, that way hbox can simply fsmash as opposed to resting and maybe getting punished. And yes sing stalling at ledge is an infinite and is banned if you stall with it.
Can't wait till amsa takes a super major he so good and humble, hope he takes hungrys boxes place and starts taking every tournament and makes yoshi one of the top 3 characters, now that would be amazing

Wish Mang0 went Fox against aMSa. Fox just has better combos on Yoshi and doesn't get gimped as easily. And aMSa is too good to get early percent shined out of his double jump. Falco just can't get more than 1 or 2 hits before Yoshi can recover, it feels like playing a smash4/ultimate match.
Besides Amsa has already fought and got beaten by Mango's Fox like 4 times so I guess Mango didn't want to take a chance

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Honestly I’m happy that people have a choice to subscribe to a channel for Melee or Ultimate or both depending on what they want to see.

Why wouldn't ultimate be last??? It's the most hype smash game and easily on pace to be the best selling smash in history after being out for only two months. Who would put old ass melee in the top spot when you're hosting the first ultimate supermajor right after its release? There's a good community for melee, people like it and support it, and I think that's great, rock on for the melee community. But to try to say that it should be in the top spot out of all smash games? Ridiculous.
Not I'mpressed. I'm sure any of the top players would win tournies if they dedicated their lives playing this dull. Call it patience if you want but hbox plays like a little beeeeeeitch. I'd rather lose as Mango than win as hbox any day.
