This was so helpful, thank you! I hadn't realized how many types of differences there are that I should be looking for in different paints (I'm still early in my watercolor journey).

i find when i go from using more traditional sets to Qor it takes me time again to get used to the dispersion. But once I do....wow! If you use it to your advantage, there is nothing like it. Especially for clouds!

Wondering if you tried mixing qor with other brands? Does it maintain its smooth flow or does it not mix well with others.
I love how detailed you are with your reviews, I’m subscribing¡

Awww thank you so much for watching the video and your kind comment. I have yet but it’s definitely a good idea and I will give it a go 😊
I have learned from people commenting on my videos, that it’s not a good idea to mix non honey based watercolours with honey based ones. So I will avoid mixing them with my Sennelier and Mission Gold sets 😊

I really like these brand comparisions you've been doing. I only have a few W&N and I'm impressed with how they show here. The Qor are also great, but I'm not sure if I like their broad dispersion.

Aww thank you so much 😊. I think W&N are great, however I do know they can be very expensive outside the uk. They are expensive here but you’re more likely to be in sales here. My set was actually a Christmas present off my step dad and I really enjoy painting with them. They are difficult to re-wet though, I find I have to spray them with water, leave for a few mins then spray them again.

It looks like your first swatches were not all the way dry when you did the glaze? Maybe? Cause qor in my experience glazes really well overall.
I love love love py150. Not Qor though. It just looks gloopy and acts gloopy, not sure what's up with that.
It all depends on how you like to paint, winsor and newton and sennelier have lower pigment loads and are meant to glaze to build the intensity. Whereas QOR is punchy from first layer, much higher pigment load can be accommodated in the aquazol binder. Which allows for less drying shift and less layering is needed. I personally love using QOR for its movement, especially in pigments that don't move in other brands, like cobalt teal, with Qor it has movement unlike other brands. Making it unique and has quickly become my favorite teal because of it.
Anyway this was fun! Happy painting

Yes that could have been the case, maybe they weren’t completely dry 🤦🏻‍♀️.
I totally agree, I also love PY150 and the W&N is my favourite 😊. I’ve not noticed that issue be with the QoR but I’ve also not used it loads.
I actually really love both of these paints, W&N for me are my solid reliables mainly because I’ve used them the most. I really like this QoR set though, the fact that most of them are single pigments impressed me. I think my favourite is the green gold, I adore it.
Thanks for watching the video 😊
