It's difficult to choose as I just love them both ;) It depends for what you want to do with them, both are very nice, beautiful and useful. With both brands you can get the best results for sure. Thanks!
@@TammyNewmanArt QoR are just wonderful! I have do many good watercolours to use that I'm going crazy hahaha! I love my Schmincke, Sennelier, QoR, Daniel Smith, White Nights, Rosa Gallery and Van Gogh! And QoR is hardcore pigmented! :D Enjoy yours too!
@@djhadaverde aww I’m glad you like them , I really enjoying using mine as well 😊. Some of the brands you mentioned I’ve never used, I may have to add them to my list lol
The QoR Viridian lifting more is likely due to it being a single pigment PG18, a pigment that is often softer and much easier to lift than PG7 (plus it granulates). So the Sennelier using both PG18 and PG7 makes a huge difference in how the two paints behave. 🙂
@@TammyNewmanArt It really is! ☺️ I find pigments fascinating. There can be such big differences in characteristics in pigments within the same hue, and I'm here for all of it 😍 Plus, it really helps me understand things like why one glazes better than another, and that has been super helpful for me.
They're so different. But if i had to pick one it would be Qor. Look at the intensity of the colors in your swatches compared to Sennelier! You really only need to use half as much. Then again, I rarely glaze. I put on second and third layers, but not necessarily in a very controlled way!
Yes I agree, they couldn’t be anymore further apart lol. I think the sennelier are better for flowers and more delicate objects. I love the Qor set they are fab, I really enjoy painting with them
Thank you I enjoy your videos! I triied sennelier and I loved them so much they are pigmented and good for glazing and I love their flow 😍 also they are transparent as well. I didn’t try QoR but I don’t like them IDK why maybe they are too pricey and they don’t worth it ahahah.
Aww thank you so much, that’s very kind of you. I have grown to love Sennelier, I actually wasn’t that fussed on them before I started this process - it really goes to show that you really need to get used to painting with the different brands. I really like the QoR set, most of them are single pigments (the green gold being my favourite) and they’re very vibrant. They are very expensive (I got my set on sale) but to buy the individual tubes - they are more expensive than Daniel Smith in the uk - so I can’t see me replacing many of them hahaha
@@TammyNewmanArt you’re welcome ^^!. I tried DS,mijellı mission gold, sennelier, white nights, winsor cotman and I’m going to try maimeriBlu and then another brands :D .. do you recommend QoR paints to me?
You’re as bad as I am for paints lol. Well I think the QoR paints are fab, I would only recommend them if you can get them on offer. They tend to be a bit expensive
I enjoy following along as you explore and compare watercolor paint brands. Thank you for sharing these!
Aww thank you so much and I’m glad you enjoy them. 😊😊
The aquazol binder in the QOR really make them move in water.
I actually really like the way they move, which is surprising as I normally like more control
This was very interesting , I love sennelier and have been interested in trying qor, thanks so much for making this video
Aww thank you for watching and I’m pleased you liked it 😊

They are both fab, I’m love both of them tbh. How are you getting on with your set of QoR?
