      @Steve_Milo 21 день назад

      @@trashbandit2449they come with forged internals from the factory, and it is naturally aspirated. Cast pistons and rods are perfectly fine for a naturally aspirated sports car, you can get 250,000 miles on cast internals. So if having forged internals and being naturally aspirated is not overbuilt, then there is no such thing as overbuilt. Because forged internals are normally exclusively for forced induction engines.

      at the risk of sounding like a social justice warrior here, could we stop referring to women as objects that depreciate in value? a lot of gearheads always wonder why there aren't any women in the field, and then stuff like this is in comments of car videos, or videos themselves.
      especially in times like these where car culture is slowly declining and a lot of young people don't show as much interest in motorsports, alienating half of available people from the start is shooting yourself in the foot.

      @@DontKnowHowToTypeIn2 nope you don't sound like a social justice warrior. Hardy at all. Sound more like someone who stretched something out proportion to have something to complain about. Comparing a women to something most guys don't have is hardly any object. I don't even think you're a guy, but I know fo sho we ain't from the same environment. The car "culture" around where I'm from are more about just getting out; nothing fancy about it. The females I grew up around could care less about how a car works. People just have other things to worry about. If your so called car culture is lacking youth I think it's because it's biased towards other groups. The Gen 5 Vipers are excellent cars. I own one. I believe the reason they didn’t sell was 2 reasons. Gen 1-4 were VERY basic cars that were expensive. People who could afford them tend to want the iconic Porsche, Corvette type cars they grew up wanting. The Gen 5 is a completely new car, a true supercar. It takes many yrs to establish that credential. I lost track at how many young people say “this is the car I grew up wanting and now it’s gone”. Dodge should have kept the Viper line open as a limited production. I can’t think of better marketing for a company than a Viper sitting in your showroom.

    I cant cant stand the people that say 1000whp is weak or not enough when they probably never been in a 400 or less whp! I started doin stock bottom end turbo LS stuff back in 2010 or 2011 just learning as I went and my first real street/strip car I built myself was way faster than my pawpaw's old bracket car 81 Camaro that was built in the 383 era lol it ran 7.40s in the 1/8, I put a 1977 nova he bought new in 76 together with a bunch of homemade and other guys junk this was back before I really understood turbo sizing well turbo stuff in general, I took a 4.8 with almost 200k miles I basically cleaned it up threw some pac valve springs talked to the guys at comp on the phone and ended up with a decent little cam, reused the truck intake and TB with deka 80's the turbo kit if you want to call it that was made with truck manifolds the hot side was horrendous so I wrapped it the best I could with shitty heat wrap that and a s475 with a 1.15 t6 housing from a dudes diesel build that was never finished I got my a2a intercooler from him also I pieced everything together as cheap as possible, almost ruined the harness a few times before I decided to let someone who knows what there doing help out with wiring and handle all the tuning after we got the car running and chased all the bullshit gremlins down I ran the it on 101 race gas 90% of the time we have a pump in town that's always sold 101 and the other 10% was 110 from the track whenever when ever I thought I was gonna go fast but usually broke something instead. But I will never forget the second pass at the track my pawpaw was telling me all I did was waste a bunch of time and money and cut his car up LoL I foot braked it and ran a 6.71 @ 109mph on Hoosier 26x10.5 slick and basically a stock 8.5 10 bolt welded axle tubes with Strange's cheapest rebuild kit with a spool and 4.10 gears stock leafsprings with caltrac bars it was stupid simple. It definitely shut my pawpaw and his bracket racing buddies up for a little while It ended up goin 5.88 @ 119. That car never made more than 800hp and it was the most scary car I've built on the street especially if it had street tires on it idk if the stock 1977 front disc breaks and drums basically factory front end replacement moog stuff and 90/10 shocks home made sub frame connectors{still own it the car just been sitting for 5 years now since my truck is done I'm fixing to really throw some beans at it} it was just a mean little setup for what it was Honestly my 99 Z28 that's full race car with tag and insurance it's been best of 5.17 @ 139mph and makes well over 1000whp but it doesn't seem like its trying to kill you when your playing around on the street. I guess my point is people shouldn't say shit about horsepower until they've been in at least a 800hp car hell even 500-700whp is alot of power especially on the street and street tires!

    I don't know much about engines and the guts of cars but what kind of transmission is that on the Viper near the end of the video? It looks like he's just pulling back on the knob instead of the usual shifting method, it looks fun.

    Very cool, love the Viper. But, why on shots of the drag racing did it look like the cars were either close to tie or losing?! Nissan, Corvette, Charger, pulling away. Hmmm

    The hatch back looks very similar to the Crossfire 👍🏻 What size square hole do I need 😮for your V10 to fit into ?? Also do you offer a super charger kit or 1-2 turbos to choose from ?
    I like telling them the Viper is stock out of the box and then I agree with them about it being a junk car. However, once on the track and we blow past them several times, several ways, I just smile and say “ oh I’m sorry you must have been in neutral or park “ lol 😂
    Thank you for your help and guidance, talk to you soon, Dave….
