I've Had Mine 4 months now and Love it. 4th Tacoma I've had in 20 yrs. Already have 12000 miles on and off road Half of them towing a boat (1700lbs) no issues doesn't even know it's back there although the Motor could be stronger. but all in all I give the 23 Off Road 👍👍...
TJ, thanks for the video. I believe your truck has some optional equipment which your viewers might not be aware of when ordering a vehicle. I heard you say that they were standard headlights however you added that they were LED which aren't standard. If I'm mistaken about anything please feel free to correct me. Once again, thank you for taking the time to show us your truck and I was really impressed with your level of preparedness for the outdoors. Option LG, LED headlights with LED DRL + Black bezel LED foglights $485.00 Option 2T, All-weather Floor liners/Door sill protector $258 Option B5, Bed lights $149
I have the exact same truck. I had the dealer install the 2 inch Toyota TRD lift kit with 265/75/16 (one inch taller) BFG All-Terrain tires. The shocks are literally a night and day difference to the factory shocks.
No offense but if your not a car guy why do you think a cold air intake is a good idea? It’s not. Toyota has a lot more R&D money invested in making the vehicle as good as possible. A cold air intake actually makes the air more turbulent and many pull air from the engine compartment which is hotter than the hottest outside ambient temperature. Save your money and preserve your long term reliability.
Great video man I appreciate the details! One thing that came to mind is that it would be good to have a seatbelt cutter/knife in the center console in case your seatbelt locks and cannot reach the cutter in the glove compartment! Great video man
I just picked up (27 January 2024) my 2023 TRD OR Tacoma Access Cab in black and got a free set of black overlays from my Salesman. It had 8 miles on the odometer. I got $1216 off and I already have parts coming for it and parts I never got to install on my 4Runner. I wanted the Access Cab feature since the 2024 is going back to the 1st Gen and older style.
On 4/29/23 I bought this sane TRD OR truck in the magnetic gray metallic color, I love how those bilstein shocks smooth out the ride on forestry or logging roads, I just wish that 6 speed automatic transmission did not hunt gears so much driving in northeast Tennessee on our rolling terrain in the very cities. But once up the engine rims get wound up the truck accelerates quickly up above 75 to 85 mph. If I do decide yo trade on a new 2024 Tacoma trail hunter model I will order it with the longer 6' bed. I have driven it on forestry road driving out the back side of cases cove on Parsons branch one lane gravel road and it easily handled that road in high 4 wheel drive. I have also gone forgeries on forestry roads up on holston mountain in between Elizabethton,TN and Damascus, VA. I also drove up on top of holston mountain on the south sideoff of stone creek road driving up panhandle road all the way 8.1 miles up to top of mountain where all if the ztzv stations and Radio Stations have their huge broadcasting towers even drove a short distance up a steep incline underneath the powerlines. Once I get my new taller 255/85R16 tires (basically 32,8" tall by 9.3" wide) . I plan on going back up on panhandle road to drive further up tgat power line dirt trail. Then we plan on camping out up there on holston mountain later on in the fall.
Where your light switch is what does your lever do when you move it up n down??? Like your blinker on other side???I notice where your lights are the lever goes up n gown like your turn signal do???
Great review! Liked and subbed, it looks like we plan on building ours the same. Mines arriving next month, can't wait!! As for the rack that allows a tonnoue cover, I found voodoo bed racks are specifically designed to have them. They're pricey, but I'm considering. However, I contacted them and they told me a tri fold will not be able to fold when the rack is on. I'll look into a soft cover or a Bak revolver which they confirmed will work with the bed. Goodluck and I look forward to your mods!
I waiting on my 2023 off-road premium in white just like yours .. I noticed your chrome bumper ,i am expecting mine to be painted white matching the truck . Looks great either way I was just curious If I’m gonna get the chrome ? Is their different packages in the off-road that make minor changes ? Thanks
Chrome bumper doesn’t have BLISS blind spot or sonar parking that is what my 2023 Access Cab has since I got one of the last two on island today (27 January 2023)
My 2023 Trd off-road has maps on my radio come from factory. Also has cameras all the way around maybe it’s a package deal not sure, but love the track way better than my 2016Ford F150 problems.
I looked online and I everyone said to download ScoutGPS and install it through the Toyota App but I couldn’t get it to work. I called the dealership and they said they can only add maps for the TRD PRO. I’m curious what model you have because I would love to add maps.
@@ArcherOutdoors1134same here, I bought my TRD OR , in February of this year, brand new I downloaded this GPS app, but I could also not get it to hook up, so I gave up, I have had my Taco for 4 months now and I love it.
I’ve heard mixed reviews (mostly negative) re: the K&N on the Tacoma. Just dive in & research first. I love K&N’s in general, just heard some chatter re: Tacoma. 👍🏼
Good review. Would have liked to see you sitting in the back seat to get a idea of seating if I was to carry 4 people. How do you find the space in the rear seats?
I sat in my dad’s double cab behind my niece who is 5’3” and the seat is normally a little forward of the center and it was very tight for me to sit behind her as a 5’10” human. My brand newly purchased (27 January 2024) Access Cab has absolutely no adult room for long drives.
Nobody talks about the telescoping steering wheel. I drove a 2022 and the steering wheel only pulled out about an inch, which is pretty much a deal breaker for me because I couldn’t find a comfortable driving position. Have they changed that?
Today is my one year ownership mark of my truck. 17,100 miles later and no issues whatsoever! I love this truck!
Finally a review by someone that uses their truck for what it is -- a truck.
I just picked up the same truck last weekend

I've got the same truck, long bed. Love it! And I always use ECT.
Long Beds are for Weirdos
Picking mine up tomorrow so excited
I just bought one yesterday and I love it so far
You are the most organized person I have ever seen. 🙂

You have some really good storage ideas. I’m going to use a couple of them myself..

How much did the dealer charge to install the lift kit? Thinking about doing this to my truck.

I will be taking the stock Goodyear territory A/T 265/65R16 tires off as they are gphorruble for fuel economy.
Get a bed liner, you will not worry about tying anything down. They pretty much will stay where you put them.
Man I am itching to trade in my Wrangler for a Tacoma or a Gladiator, but mostly a Tacoma due to the Toyota reliablity.
I had a wrangler before the taco and I loved it but it always had issues so I went with the taco over the gladiator
Hey hows your wrangler holding? Any issues yet? If you haven’t traded it in for a tacoma. I’m thinking about leasing a 4xe or financing a tacoma
@@tigranmansuryan6969 I already sold it and got a Tacoma

I’ll look into that rack thank you! I was considering switching to a roll up tonneau cover so I won’t have to worry about the folds.

Yeah based on all the comments I’m going skip the air intake on this vehicle
Good review. Would have liked to see you sitting in the back seat to get a idea of seating if I was to carry 4 people. How do you find the space in the rear seats?
I haven’t rode in the back yet but the drivers seat does hit the car seat so I don’t keep the car seat in the truck anymore.
I sat in my dad’s double cab behind my niece who is 5’3” and the seat is normally a little forward of the center and it was very tight for me to sit behind her as a 5’10” human. My brand newly purchased (27 January 2024) Access Cab has absolutely no adult room for long drives.
When you turn off your A/C push the recirculate truck button and air won’t come through the vents
I figured that out recently and it made a huge difference haha thank you!
On the stock stereo, does anyone have an issue with not hearing the rear speakers that well? I even have the fader more to the back.
Link to the black Tacoma badge?
Navigation came on my 23 off road. Just gotta pay for it lol
What navigation app do you have? The one suggested to me didn’t work properly
@@ArcherOutdoors1134He has the built in navigation, just like my dad’s TRD Sport, fully loaded. its like 1k for it perm i think,

first thing i did
Could you post the amazon link to the black nameplates you mentioned?

What are the seat covers? Really nice
They are made by smittybilt. I pulled them out of my wrangler before I sold it and had to add a few straps to the base but they work really good now
Cold air intake is a waste of money, keep the engine stock, Toyota engineers know what they are doing.
Tuner told me here are no gains to be had thru intake or exhaust! Only create noise!
What seat covers are those?
Smittybilt 56647701 G.E.A.R. Custom Fit Front Seat Covers (Pair) for 2013-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
They were left over from my jeep but with a little modification they work great. I’m still using them.
is that my car
I hope you don’t have one chambered with it in there like that..
Don't waste the money getting a CAI, it'll do nothing for you.
Bed lights do not come standard on the TRD offroad, it's an option.
If you're not a car guy, why do a review??? TacoTuber fail
