We did not leave the resort - but we did notice that there were a lot of house around it more than hotels. Didn't see any stores near it. Since Freeport is technically dangerous - we didn't get out but I think the coconuts they sell at the beach were $10 each which is more expensive than getting them in Canada were they are at $3 and getting braids was $200 usd. So bahamas seems expensive for what it should be
we are going again in January 27. The place itself has more activities for kids over 7. for a toddler it was okay but not much materials and things for them to do at the kids club. that said , we have a 2.5 year old and we are going again since we spend most of our time at the beach

We just came back from there actually. and the average was 20 degrees C. So we only went in the water 2 times. I would recommend going to Bahamas in March. I guess we got lucky with the weather the first time we went
The pics and videos look great but I’m here now 19 Feb 2024 and I’m trying to get out no hot water like none food is shits yes beach is ok but that’s its go anywhere else is better oh and if u like to smoke pot forget it
Definitely a biased review. This place sucks. I went when it was cheap right after covid. All the food was horrible. The "fresh fruit" sits out for days at a time because no one eats it. In fact most of the food at the buffet is just sitting out all day, day after day. Once a tray of old food is finished, they bring out another tray that has been sitting for days in the back room. The only "fresh" food was at the pizza restaurant. I was so sick of eating pizza for every dinner by the end of it. All the drinks are made with bottom shelf liquor and overly sweetened. The island itself is in the middle of nowhere so you're stuck at the resort the whole time with nothing else to do. Also there's no AC anywhere except the hotel rooms so you're always covered in sweat. None of the staff care about you or make you feel comfortable, they all seem like locals that hate their job and don't enjoy being around tourists. The only good thing about this resort was getting to go snorkeling on one of the excursions that costed about $70. I also enjoyed when one of the bars was abandoned and no one was there to make me a drink, so I just got behind the bar and started pouring for everyone.
everyone has their own experience. however I’m very very surprised by yours. specially when we just came back from there and the fruit was always fresh and delicious. the restaurant has ac I think since it was always cool in there. the food always tasted fresh and if you want even more fresh - they cook right there in front of you, so you can always get that food. @@DoitDoit the food sucked it was all horrible, the restraunt food was alright but they charge your room to go so its not even an all inclusive, all the shitty stuff was included. even the ice cream costed money like $4 for a scoop. the gelato in the buffet looked like soup probably was out there for awhile and there was literally nothing to do. i spent half of the stay going to the bar getting drinks and there was barely any none alcoholic drinks. not to mention everyone there is an asshole all the employees are rude and tbh i dont blame them i wouldnt wanna work in that shithole either. the only nice thing was the beach but its all the same as the rest of the caribbean your better off going to a 5 star in DR because at the very least they care and the stay is good quality. oh i almost forgot that was the worst room ive ever stayed in. the minute i walked in i saw a dead roach. THE ROOMS WERE NOT CLEAN AT ALL and there was no warm water the bathroom looked horrible. imagine 4 days without warm water. the entertainment was horrible too same stuff everyday. instead of a resort your going to like a motel with a pool right next to the beach. there is 0 spots near by its a small island so your stuck there with nothing to do its pointless dont waste your money. the best service there was the car driver that drove us and 2 workers everyone else wants there paycheck and to get tf out and i honestly was waiting to get tf out too. and im usually not picky but imagine spending money on a resort and just wanting to leave. literally 0 stars
Interesting experience, just to let you know they do have ice cream in the buffet area- you didn't have to buy the one they sell (which I agree that they shouldn't , it should also be free). The first time we went the food was awesome - but the second year , sadly they changed cooks and the food was normal, nothing great about it. Agree that the employees are not even 1/10 as nice as when you go to Cuba for example. Our room was always clean, so I guess you got a lazy cleaning lady (bad luck). If seeing a dead roach is a big deal - you will probably not like sooooooo many resorts. Maybe only aim for 5 star resorts

tips? , they seem to be on point and do their job and don’t seem to expect tips.
