My review about this resort
My Overall Rating: Above Average
--- Value: good
--- Service: Average
--- Location: 15min to the air port. Out side of resort, nothing to see.
Resort Environment:
--- small resort with 274 guest rooms, not crowded
--- clean and well maintained
--- plants and flowers
--- a lot of conformable sitting sofas
--- bright everywhere indoor or outdoor ( I really like this)
--- A lot of activities
Visited Month and Weather:
--- March, wonderful weather. Warm/hot during the day and cool at the night. Canada still snowing, so bad!
Room:
--- Roomy, nice and clean, with balcony, could see the blue/green ocean
--- Wash Room and Shower Area: outdated and looked old
Buffet Restaurant:
--- Only one buffet restaurant, big and clean, bright with big window wall around. I like it's style.
--- Food was fresh
--- not a lot of food selection, food tasted like fast food and cooking was under average (sorry to say that)
A La Carte Restaurant :
--- 3 x A La Carte Restaurants, I tried 2.
--- Mexican A La Carte: average
--- Viva Café Gourmet: under average. Sorry I have to share my bad experience here. I ordered a steak, but it could not call as a steak, very very thin like a piece of cheese. The worse thing was the chef cut into a very small piece, only a credit card size. When the waitress brought that to me, I rejected to take it. It was not a proper meal and the chef was not doing his job properly, looked like a left over piece from somewhere, no respect to the guest. The waitress was very nice and brought another piece for me. You can see in my video the new piece. Bad cooked.
Ocean View Pool:
--- Only 1 pool, but nice. I like it.
Hot Tub:
--- Water didn't look clean, so did not use it.
Beach:
--- Clean and beautiful beach, white sand like white flour. Wow, No Seaweed!
--- Amazing beach and great water sport lesson for sail boat, nice trainer. Finally we were able to manage a sailing boat on the ocean. How wonderful and thanks!
--- Beautiful coconut trees on the beach
--- Plenty of beach chairs. No need to get up early to reserve a chair.
My rating for the beach and water sports: good+
Staff and Service:
--- Overall friendly
--- Only one lady in the bar was not friendly and rude
--- Soap container in the shower room failed on the floor and was broken. I called service and waited for 3 hours, no one came to fix. Made another call and waited for 1 hour to get a new soap container re-mounted on the wall.
Entertainment:
--- Theatre is outdated
--- Acrobat show in the Theatre was amazing
--- Entertainment team performs in the evening and works in the resort during the day time. They are very friendly and nice.

That a wonderfully place if someone want to enjoy all the activities and the shows at night

Rooms are great and lors of space .The food is great You could go to a different specialty Restaurant with Reservations
Viva Fortuna Beach Resort is one of the best all inclusive Resort hotels to be in Freeport Bahamas

Food is really not to par it’s actually gross ? the hot water is non existent and it’s been since two weeks we got here sat 17 Feb 2024 I wouldn’t tell anyone to come here it really needs work but the people are really nice and the beach is nice
Thanks for sharing your experience. 💖 The resort I really love is the beach. 🏖🏖🏖😀 From chairs under the tree to the water, there are a lot of space, so nice to walk there in the early morning and sunset. 🏝🏝
This place sucks. I went when it was cheap right after covid. All the food was horrible. The "fresh fruit" sits out for days at a time because no one eats it. In fact most of the food at the buffet is just sitting out all day, day after day. Once a tray of old food is finished, they bring out another tray that has been sitting for days in the back room. The only "fresh" food was at the pizza restaurant. I was so sick of eating pizza for every dinner by the end of it. All the drinks are made with bottom shelf liquor and overly sweetened. The island itself is in the middle of nowhere so you're stuck at the resort the whole time with nothing else to do. Also there's no AC anywhere except the hotel rooms so you're always covered in sweat. None of the staff care about you or make you feel comfortable, they all seem like locals that hate their job and don't enjoy being around tourists. The only good thing about this resort was getting to go snorkeling on one of the excursions that costed about $70. I also enjoyed when one of the bars was abandoned and no one was there to make me a drink, so I just got behind the bar and started pouring for everyone.
