Superb work, I’m jealous. I have a ‘79 pre he with a getrag 5 speed in it, a 3:5:4 diff and a spare pair of heads at a nearby shop being ported and polished and new uprated springs to be fitted. Similarity ends there. Mine is pretty shabby round the edges and not made to look like a sportier xjs, the only signs are my powerflow exhaust that goes under the rear cage as opposed to through it so I can keep it at 2 1/4 inch all the way through (all boxes deleted except the rear ones) and the 16 inch speedlines as my kent rims don’t hold the road well at all..
Looking forward to seeing more of this build in the future.

I can’t wait to see it.......Are you all going to use pre-HE heads or do you have a set of TWR heads?

We have Pre HE heads. They are carefully ported and meet the Gr.A regulation from 84. This does not make room for extreme ports so Ported std heads will do. We think this is better as we can expect some breakdowns due to 100% attack and then its better to have spare heads available. TWR did run their engines only for 20-24 hours between rebuild so a special cast TWR head would be expensive to use.. If it was Group C it would be another story, then we had to use TWR spec heads to ge the power needed.
