  • Hey guys!
    Many of you requested an updated skincare routine video but this time, I wanted to cover more. Skin shouldn't just be about the products you use on your face. It's also about lifestyle and diet as well.
    I start my day with my skincare routine and I end my day with my skincare routine. It's not a chore to me because I love it and it's become part of my everyday lifestyle. I see it as a pampering treat.
    There's a misconception out there about me. Some of you think I have perfect skin (or near perfect). Trust me, my skin isn't perfect. The camera and lighting can be so deceiving. My skin will never be perfect but it has improved a lot throughout the years. I guess it just took years for me to realize what works best for my skin.
    Today, I'll be sharing my skincare routine with you guys, I'll also be sharing tips that I swear by to keep my complexion happy and also my skin massage routine to help lift and slim down the face.
    I'm not skin expert, I'm just a girl that's very interested in beauty & skincare like a lot of you guys out there. Does skincare HAVE to be a lot of effort? It can be I guess but not nessecary. I think cleansing and moisturizing is most important. Does everybody need 6-7 products on their skin? I guess not. Everybody is different and some will need to put in more effort, some don't. As you can tell, I put in quite a lot of effort but I enjoy it. I know my skin will never be perfect because it's not in my genes but let's just work with what we have and try to make the best of it.
    There's days when I get bad skin too. I just try my best not to let it get to me. Stressing about it and touching the face repeatedly just makes things worse. I realized the best thing to do is to let my skin heal in it's own time. As I get older, I realize it's all about hygiene, diet and lifestyle too. Not just the products.
    This video is pretty long because I tried to cram a lot of information in. I hope you guys don't mind but will find it helpful swell.
    I also hope this video inspires you to enjoy your skincare rituals.
    Take care guys,
    Much love, Bubz
    Ps. I bought all products used in this video. Just encase you guys are wondering if Aquamoist sponsored me or something lol. I genuinely LOVE all the products that I mentioned/used in this video. Your trust means most to me.
    Pps. I know you guys are gonna ask where I bought my products. I get them from my local beauty stores such as Sasa, Watsons and Mannings. You guys can check out Aquamoist from Sasa.com or Yesstyle.com. I'm sure you can get Olay products in most drugstores.
    Ppps. Still trying to work out the lighting/focusing in the new apartment. Grr at the blurry scenes. It's so hard for me to tell with the tiny screen. Help?!

    If you have problems with commercial toners, but still would like to use one, I would suggest making your own. I like to brew very strong green tea and add 2 tbsp of lemon juice. Pour it into a spray bottle and refrigerate until it's nice and cool. Spray onto cotton pads and rub all over your face. It keeps in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. It helps with my uber-sensitive skin and makes my skin so soft!

    Dairy is actually not a good source of calcium for people. It makes your blood acidic, causing your body to draw calcium from your bones to neutralize the blood. You then pee out your calcium. Also, Milk makes you fat because it is meant to make a baby calf grow double its size in a few months. The hormones added to milk as well as the natural hormones found in milk are terrible for your skin. Since I've stopped drinking milk my skin and overall health has really improved. Try it out and see for yourselves :3
    Educate yourselves on being ethical and healthy. Watch "The Best Speech You Will Ever Hear" - Gary Yourofsky. It is absolutely life-changing :)

    I wish Bubz would list the products she uses below, it would be so much easier. I definitely would love to try the night mask she uses and some of the lotions and serums, hopefully they will be good for sensitive skin. What do you guys think?

  • @HanneOrn
    @HanneOrn 12 лет назад +1

    It's perfectly ok to just wash and moisturize! Bubz use all these products because that's what works for her skin, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to do it as well :) Personally, I only use a good cleanser and moisturizer, and that's good enough for me. Don't stress it, too many products can actually be bad for the skin at times, so find out what works for you! This vid is only an example of how you can do it :)

    The Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliater from Body Shop worked very well for me! You have to use it maybe 2-3 times a week (depending on how bad your skin is), and you have to do this for a couple of weeks before you see big changes, but it's great! Be careful if you have dry skin though, it can be harsh...

    Hey there, I too had this question when I was about 14 and didn't knw where to start. (I'm not an expert),but here's some suggestions/ advice. To take good care of your skin, it's a good idea to create a facial routine that you can do daily. B4 you can create one though, you should ask yourself "what kind of skin type do I have" ? (Generally there is: normal, oily, dry, “combo= oily in some spots, dry in others at the same time”, sensitive, acne-prone, etc.)

    Dabbing a bit of clay mask over the pimples (at night) tends to clear them up... or at least prevent them from becoming huge volcanoes.
    Also, baking soda. You can use it as an exfoliator, or make a paste and apply it to your pimple. Helps tons!

    It is, but it's very popular in Asia. Their women also look years younger. There's only three steps that's REALLY needed though. Cleanse, sunscreen (day)/moisturizer (night) and exfoliation (I personally prefer chemical exfoliation). Some other additions might be a good antioxidant serum and a toner, if that's your thing.

    I am really not great with these skin things but I would recommend you drinking green tea in the morning because it REALLY helps. Water does nothing but after drinking green tea for a few months my skin is better than it was before. Regarding the lemon water, just add a squeeze of lemon into the water and not a whole bunch. People drink lemon water as a substitute for breakfast when they want to lose weight and I think it doesn't sound too good. I hope your breakouts calm down.

  • @orangejuicerox
    @orangejuicerox 12 лет назад

    just a word of caution, foam cleanser is more on a drier side. And you don't want to over cleanse your face. Double cleanse your face at night to remove all make up and dirt is necessary. But if you don't have oily skin, i think tepid water in the morning is fine.

  • @missclaudiahelena
    @missclaudiahelena 12 лет назад

    it depends on your skin type, if your oily then wash your face with either water or a foaming facial clenser, if your dry then use a more creamy cleanser. also moisterize with a noncomedgetic aka doesnt clog pores lotion, and do this 2x a day :)

  • @orangejuicerox
    @orangejuicerox 12 лет назад

    im in the same situation. Never had much problems with skin so I don't have much experiences skincare products. I'm not an expert, but i would suggest that you cover the basics first then go to specific skin products. Use a gentle cleanser every night, tone and moisturize your skin. Use a physical sunblock with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide religiously every day especially when you're going to be out playing sport.

  • @MissNesraa
    @MissNesraa 11 лет назад

    Use extra virgin olive oil (the one from Spain - not from Italy or Greece) and when you remove it, wet down a clean towel with warm water and rub it off. Extra virgin olive oil works wonders as a cleanser as well, so you can massage and cleanse your face at the same time.

    Knowing ur skin type can help u decide on what products to use. Some store bought products may work well for u or DIY, natural products are an option.
    Next, you want to create a 3 step routine (this is the simplest routine) that includes a cleanser, a toner, & moisturizer for ur skin type.
    Lastly, if u have problem areas (acne, dark marks, etc. ), u supplement ur regular 3 step routine with products specifically for those areas.

On your next skincare routine video could you specifically tell us step by step what order of products you apply, day & night? Including when to apply different types of masks in the routine and all of that. It would mean a lot!! Thanks :)

  • @TheVenerated
    @TheVenerated 12 лет назад

    you don't need to do the same routine in the morning as night. if your skin is fine when you wake up, a simple, gentle cleanser with cool water and a hydrating serum, emulsion, lotion or moisturiser (whichever suits the weather) are all you need to do. it is important to at least rinse the face in the morning to remove the products from the night before. in the end, do whatever gets the best results! :) diff serums do diff things, so only get one if you think it will benefit your skin type.

    Well, what I would suggest is that you cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin. If you have acne, then you should look for a line that is directed towards getting rid of acne. If you don't have acne, then look for products that are for your skin type, such as combination oily, dry, etc. You should also find a facial sunscreen/moisturizer with at least spf 15 to protect your skin from UV rays. Find a good facial scrub, too, and exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells. ^^

    I also had large pores and blackheads. I found exfoliating does help, but I like to use my pore strips once a week only after I shower so my pores are really open. Then immediately after I remove the strip, I like to apply a clay mask (mint julep mask is my personal fav) and let that sink in my freshly cleansed pores. After removing the mask, moisturize! >.< Bubz's yogurt mask has helped me tremendously too! Good luck girly!
