CALLIES... SYNONYMOUS WITH THE TOP OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY ! Thanks to you Greg, asking those paramount questions... KUDO'S to you my friend. Respectfully, Seth
Back in 2007, i bought 2super stock cranks from you, and picked them up at Fostoria on the way to the races, you were kind enough to let us stay in your parking lot overnight, but the crank roughing machine kept me up half the night we had a nice tour also, i saw things I probably shouldn't talk about, cool stuff, good cranks!
I made myself an apprentice for 3 days a week for a high end circle track race engine builder in summer of 1990... Callies were the only crank boxes I ever saw. Carillo were the rods the shop had used for many years. I don't have the knowledge base to spec cam lobe timing, because he has never let me down, I let Dave Crower tell me what I need. LOL Love the machinery stories, my family had been in the paper industry, my father ended up owning a bunch of machinery through leasing the machinery he had installed - so vs auctioning the assets - we ran a paper converting operation for 25 years, mainly because no one else could touch our fixed capital costs... we had less than 100k in an operation it would take 5million or more to set up, being the lowest cost operation in the market, there was not a price I could not beat if I wanted the business. Some I bid just for the waste side.
Wow! This really filled in some blanks in business, corporate and product evolution. My guess is that they figure in quietly into many proprietary projects related to various Cup and other motor sports team / engine builder projects. Kinda the missing link historically in my mind, to include their aviation engine industry involvement.
what a great video its not all about money you can tell its about the people you can hear it in their voices ps i would love to test one of those hemi blocks in my x 275 car
Here in Idaho I saw a bunch of Callie's parts in a motor rebuilding shop on seltice road__ two months ago they rebuilt the valves,,,headblock rebuild for Chevrolet Silverado 🛻 pickup there was a couple Callie's parts posters it's a neat place " oh and this is a interesting 🤔 video.
I could listen to him talk all day long. So much knowledge, general wisdom, and humility. They don't make em like that anymore.
We agree. Great speaking with both Rick and Heath.
Yes they do, you're just not paying attention!!
🙋6️⃣:3️⃣0️⃣🎀 he said since 1986.

I just bought a Callie product without knowing who or what even is. I'm glad I find this video of them and I'm glad to support them🙏🏻💯🙌🏻.

Interesting history, thanks for sharing. The focus on people is a refreshing reminder of what really makes businesses work.
