    i'm pretty sure that the reason he's making a big deal about it is because in china they have the '1st or failure' mentality, so anytime they fail to get first, they have to try to justify why it's not their fault in order to not be scorned for being a failure, because to china 2nd place is equally as bad as last place

    I play ping pong and had a coach at one point. He probably didn’t have a paddle to the same specs. The amount of detail that goes into a paddle based on preference of speed vs power, grip, or hold vs shake hands, what kind of spin etc is INSANE. Xenophobia is obviously going way too far, but unless he had a paddle to the same specs, equally worn in I get it. That break was heartbreaking

    What you guys think?

    • @user-nm6ub9bh1n
      @user-nm6ub9bh1n Месяц назад

      That theory is pretty silly. WCQ was the favorite by far to win, especially given that every other time WCQ and Moregardh played, WCQ had won. The paddle was broken the day before where WCQ had won gold for mixed doubles. There is no chance that they were thinking their hopes of winning against Moregardh were that bad that they were willing to, during the celebration, stage the destruction of the paddle to create an excuse to lose.
      People here are so invested in calling out the Chinese conspiracy theories that they sometimes create theories that are just as bizarre and ridiculous.

    If a racket is maliciously damaged before a game, anyone will be very angry. Even if you have a spare racket, it will affect your mood. When you are not calm, it will definitely affect your performance. However, CCP often incites hatred in order to arouse national sentiments. I have seen the clip of the female reporter bumping into the player before, but it was edited, so when you watch it, you will think that the female reporter bumped into him intentionally. Only after watching your clip did I know that the Chinese player had turned sideways. The female reporter was heading in his direction, he suddenly turned, and so the female reporter bumped into him. It was not intentional. Thank you for telling me the truth!

      Yes, the Chinese national team, including WCQ use DHS (Double Happiness), a Chinese brand, who manufactures mainly in China. They produce very good quality paddles, arguably the best in terms of spin and speed. People saying that it broke because it's low quality are a bit uneducated on this topic, as any other brand paddle would break in this circumstance.

And many more tiny little details that they will care. And if someone broke ur favorite paddle, ruined ur feeling, ur basically fked. As i know badminton racket even though they come in same batches, there are inconsistency, for example the the balance point will have a range 270mm-290mm, weight will be slightly different, im sure ping pong paddle will have the same issue, ur average joe ain't gonna notice it but professionals, hell yes
