If I were to guess, the losing themes would only play when you lose to CPUs, from multiplayer through local wireless, or from an online match. It actually kind of surprises me that they haven't done something like this already.

Honestly, the villain characters in Smash should've already had victory themes based on the life lost/game over tunes from their source games, since the hero characters losing means victory for them. 😉

Little's Mac "losing" theme is also heard when you win against Super Macho Man, it's more of a "post-battle" theme. It's still inspired by the NES Game Over theme by the way.

It needs symmetry. Same with Japanese Palu and Wii Fit Trainer (as a Wii Fit Trainer main and former Wii Fit enthusiast, I'm more used to her English voice lines). I feel like the best way to use this would be where if you lost in a online match then it would play for you but the other player who wins has it play out normally and the other players who lost hear there own as well if they lost by themselves or in a team but it plays there own them if they win in a team.
