  • Amid the tranquility of Cuc Phuong National Park, the saddest bears in Vietnam have a second chance at life in a rural and tranquil setting.
    The Bear Sanctuary in Ninh Binh, as part of the animal welfare advocacy group Four Paws International, provides a safe haven and recovery center for these animals. Previously caged solely to extract bile for traditional medicines, these bears are receiving a renewal of life in the open-air sanctuary that's open for public viewing.
    Follow a guided tour when Matt learns about the previous inhumane conditions these bears endured before their rescue toward a peaceful and graceful completion of life.

      Hello Cobra and thank you for your immediate comment.
      Certainly during the several hours I was at the Sanctuary, these animals were calm and serene. Yes, it is unfathomable to think of the horrid conditions these animals would have endured.
      If you feel this way, certainly so too would your friends. SHARE this film with them.

    Hey Matt, it wasn't clear why that one bear had her front paws cut off??

    • @bordersonbudgets
      @bordersonbudgets  4 года назад

      It could have been from disease, maltreatment, exploitation or any combination.
      That fact itself wasn't as important as much as the miserable lives these animals had to endure for the purposes of "traditional medicines."

      The owner said that her front paws were amputated by a steel-jaw trap but there is a high possibility that they were deliberately removed to make bear paw soup or wine.

    Asian bears are the sweetest and most playful variety.
    But, sir, your delivery of information is stiff and over the top. It's as if you think you're talking to small children.

      Hello Viv. Glad you liked the Bear Sanctuary story.
      And yes, in this particular video my delivery was lower and slower at times, to reflect the sombre nature of the subject matter.
