Ninh Bình is the place where Hollywood shot the movie “ King Kong : Skull Island “ with Samuel Jackson. The nature there is still intact. It’s a beautiful place. There is national park nearby. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Have fun and stay safe !
Awesome video. So, a bit of background story about Hoa Lu, the old capital that you visited. In the first millennium, Vietnam was colonized by imperial china. Then in 938, we won our independence. The country was young and vulnerable then, so the King decided to place the capital in Hoa Lu. As you can see, the limestone mountain ranges are like natural border walls, help protect the capital from potential invasion of china. After about 70 years, Vietnam grew bigger and stronger. The small valley of Ninh Binh could no longer support the growing population, the King decided to move the capital to Ha Noi. The land there is more vast and the soil is more fertile, which is necessary to grow the country even bigger. It's also our statement to china, saying that "we're no longer hiding in the mountains because we ain't afraid of you anymore".
Thanks Shawn 👊 Haha glad you enjoyed it! Sammy actually wanted me to cut it and I forget about it and ran out of time so glad it made the final product 😂
Vietnamese student studying abroad in Canada here. I found your video on RUclips and have been watching all of your videos about Vietnam for an hour lol. Your content and the way you are filming is amazing! Keep it up and I am waiting for more contents like this from you guys!

I traveled Ninh Binh in May 2022, and I'm from the South of Vietnam, so when I went there, I'm so excited. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. When I watched your video, I just feel like I'm in it again. Thank for coming to Vietnam and have a nice trip. 😍
Personally, I think I love Ninh Binh more than Ha Long Bay. Years ago, I watched someone go up to the top of the mountain with the dragon on top and show aerial footage of the area and it took my breath away. Since then, every video I've seen convinces me this place is just magical!! The homes and buildings right up to the karsts (mountains just aren't as cool since they gradually get larger, whereas bam! the karst is right there and you can see the scale up close). I love how the whole city is surrounded by such beauty and would love a home there.
Vietnam could be better if the people stopped littering indiscriminately. I guess littering indiscriminately runs in the blood; even the Vietnamese who live overseas.
@@nocancelcultureaccepted9316 Littering is bad, for sure. And the government need to start campaigns to curb that, but also provide proper trash service. This Vietnamese doesn't litter indiscriminately and HATE seeing people in the US litter (I believe people should be harshly punished for it over here as it's something I really hate)...my neighbors and people around me aren't Vietnamese since I don't live in a Vietnamese community (the neighborhood is more white than anything and it's not the same volume of trash, but since we have trash service and receptacles all over)...therefore your comment is a wee bit general. At least the Viets aren't gun-toting violent mass murderers, serial killers, child molesters, rapists, etc. It's all relative, right? Maybe it's the newly arrived FOBs doing it, but those whom grow up in the US don't.
They are both truly magnificent! If I had to choose I would agree with you! Much more adorable and so many things to do in a small area! Thanks for being here 🤗
@@MarWanshNomad I always marvel at the people whom climb to the top where the dragon is and do drone shots. Charl & Christine did a great aerial of them on top.

Check out One Pack Wanderers, they are going all over Vietnam right now on their motorbikes. Tia learned to ride on the trip like Fin did a few years ago (of the Tim and Fin channel). They did an amazing caving video last week that I so want to do as it was dangerous and exhilarating looking.
Did this same exact boat tour. Usually there's 4 people per boat and the tour guide, but me and my budy paid extra just to have the boat to ourselves. We felt bad so I had my buddy who is also vietnamese ask her if we can take over paddling the boat while she rested. At the end of the boat tour, we gave her a huge tip.
Ninh Binh is wonderful, I stayed in Ninh Binh in 3 days and I stayed at Phi Hung's Unique homestay. Fantastic with owner, truly local, room is clean and very cheap. About only 12$.
Everything you need is to go to Sapa, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Vinh Moc tunnel -Quang Tri ,( Ta Con Airport ) - Khe Sanh - Quang Tri, Son My Relic - Quang Ngai, ngã 3 Đồng Lộc ( Fork copper fortune ) - Ha Tinh, The most must-go place in Ho Chi Minh is Nha Rong harbour, Independence Palace, Cu Chi and more ... I enjoy watching you guys and your parents touring Vietnam. I love the exchange of the "I know the difference between a temple and a pagoda" question. Would like to see more of Mom and Dad interactions, they are so funny. You both have similar humors.
I noticed that you made the video before Corona time because the masks were missing. November 2019, I was in Hà Nội for a week, shortly after that it started. I was here, Đinh Tiên Hoàng Temple, when I was a pupils . Hoa lư was the first capital of Bắc Việt Rase, but I'm born in another capital, i.e. Hà nội. Hoàn Kiêm Lake is my sacred place, that's where I hang out when I'm wasting school. Still, if I had an army, I'd take Halong first. Your Crew is great, you seem was open for every fun.
That's very smart of you to avoid the tourist heavy place. I have one pet peeve when I travel is to avoid crowded, touristy places and favor support small local people. You get just as good experience if not even more pleasant surprise. They always said it is about the journey not the destination. I tried to find some local hidden that less famous and not many people often visit

Ninh Binh 'Halong Bay on land' We must have done the same trip. Your drone footage & your flora & fauna photography in slowmo is excellent. I bet you're happy you bought those gloves, it's those little things that make a difference👌🖐
We must both have good taste 😉 Really appreciate your comments! It's all about the little things while traveling and the gloves worked out perfect! Thanks for sharing!
It's unbelievable the amount of people that showed up for the boat ride. That would ruin it for me, too. But you guys did such a great job finding a perfect, quiet, peaceful, tranquil location. I've never seen water lilies on the boat rides and that river was full of them! Didn't know they can grow when it's that cold, either. You guys got some great shots all over and I love how low those caves were! That rickety bridge was totally cool, too!
Thanks so much! We lucked out going from those huge crowds to finding a hidden spot almost to ourselves! It turned out to be out favorite boat tour so everything worked out like it should. We loved stumbling upon the bridge and water wheel! What a beautiful area 😍
I always appreciate your videos and your genuinely kindness. It's so satisfying to enjoy your efforts of making such professional footages, right angles, on spot techniques of shooting. The only thing i wish to be different is the little short of historical aspect of the two temples (Hoalu), they are the proofs for the glorious and fascinated dawn of the nation. But your work is already outstanding! Thank you so much for representing our country to the eyes of the world ❤️
Gorgeous shots and editing as ALWAYS! Those crowds were nuts...we see three people in a line we're like"Nah, too many people" 🤣🤣 Is this the first time Tommy has busted out the WASU gear or have I just never noticed?? As long as it's not purple and gold you're good with me 🤣🤣🦆🦆🦆🦆 The boat tour in this was definitely our style. The first one you did a couple videos back (or maybe last week?) was cool, but this one looked just perfect! Only downside is how cold it was for you guys...we're like, "looks pretty but we're DONE with the cold" 🤙🤙 All the best from us !
Thanks so much guys! GO COUGS! We are on the same page on purple and gold 😂 We agree this was our favorite boat tour we did in this area. The temperature was perfect for me but Sammy would have liked it a little warmer. Hope traveling is treating you guys well!

Welcome to Ninh Bình, my hometown ! Besides Trang An and Tam Coc, Ninh Bình owns a wonderful swamp called as Van Long with an amazing 5-star resort next to the swamp. During winter and spring, migrated birds can be found by thousands around Van Long swamp. This is my most favorite place in Ninh Binh ... 😁
What an exciting and inspiring travel video...a combination of natural beauty, local wisdom and amazing personal interaction... Thank you for sharing the travel vlog...stay safe and keep healthy 😊👌👍👍
Wow! THIS video is spectacular! Amazing & unique flycam & camera angles! And great choices away from the crowd. Love the animal shots.... Your animals shots are beautiful and gorgeous... The flycam captured the epic landscape the best i have seen (i have seen over 20 this year). Great picks. Outstanding...Love love.

Thanks for the great feedback Manik! So happy to hear you had a peaceful ride!
WOW! The scenery is absolutely stunning.
We agree! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great recommendation! I love hearing the locals favorite places 💜
Beautiful video!! Thanks for sharing. Have a safe trip!
Thank you! Will do! Stay safe as well 💜
Chào mừng các bạn đến với đất nước Việt Nam của chúng tôi! Chúc các bạn có một chuyến du lịch nhiều ý nghĩa !

They did an amazing job capturing the beautiful water lilies, ducks, etc., for sure. You might want to check out Flora and Note's video on Ninh Binh. They also did an amazing job with drone footage of the area.
Thanks for making our day! Such a wonderful comment! Really appreciate your encouragement to keep creating! Thanks!

Many thanks. My wife was born more than 70 years near Tam Coc. We visited Ninh Binh 3 times. We planned to go there again in March 2020 but couldn't because of Covid . Looks like we won't be able to go again because we can't bring a hospital with the trip for my wife.

Would you mind sharing the name/location of this quaint little boat ride you did? I heard you mention some names in the video but nothing came up in my Google searches… I will be in Ninh Binh next week with my family and would like to avoid the crowds. I enjoyed watching your videos - you don’t fluff things up and share a more genuine experience. I live in Vietnam so I can tell 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Did you find it? :) I am looking for it, too :)
Yayyy another video woopwoop !!!
Twice in one week! Hahaa we are pumped too!
Welcome to Ninh Bình
the other one still has the Kong Movie setup, it is bigger and better. Has many nice views and pagodas that's why it is more busy.
That makes sense why it's so busy. We do the boat tour you're talking about this coming Sunday!
