A steep downward descent is pretty tough.
@@loisrp It actually was. That plus the very long day and a higher centre of gravity whilst protecting the backpack and camera equipment weighing 18+ kgs.
Did you find that your mental capacity was affected by hypoxia?
@@loisrp Thanks for giving me an excuse or "an out" regarding my mental state. 😀 Though just winded and requiring frequent breaks regarding the breathlessness at altitude.

By happenstance, a similar breathing discomfort has occurred during my summer break that I have seen a doctor. Appreciate your concern.

The exit fee from Costa Rica to Nicaragua is 8 dollars!
In the moment, without a clear explanation from Costa Rica customs, I determined it was easier to spend the extra $2 for the paper slip without exposing my credit card to a machine.
