Hi Mark, ive had my classic 350 gun metal grey for a month now. She's just going in for her first 300 mile service. I can honestly say she is a fantastic bike. Every time I go for a ride a big grin is on my face. Ive had bigger and faster bikes in the past, but this is the first, true feeling of owning a motorcycle that I love. It's just the character and sense of adventure.
I do worry the 0-60 of like 12 seconds just isn't enough. 70mph... I do think this bike makes a lot of sense when compared to a scooter though... 100 miles per gallon is crazy good, especially as fuel will be over 2 quid soon.
@@Adam-mo2qw So far I haven't had any problems pulling away from traffic at lights or overtaking on the road. I've only had to think a little longer before doing so to make sure it's a safe option, so riding a little more defensively, which isn't a negative for me.
@@andrewburridge3634 it's actually quicker than most 125s now and cheaper so not all bad! I like it personally. Street twin is my next bike though I think
I've got a 2015 Classic Chrome 500 and it's turned out to be a durable and reliable bike....The new 350 appears to follow in those tyre tracks and should be equally good....The number of happy owners of the various Enfields (including the twins) rather belies the negative comments of some road testers who've been brought up on a diet of Japanese sports bikes and don't seem to be able to disengage themselves from impractical levels of performance and appreciate some of the less tangible pleasueres of motorcycling......
Nice looking bike. I like the way the front fender extends further down the wheel. Keeps rocks from chipping the paint off the down tubes. Bike does have a nice sound too.
The classics look lovely, I rode a Meteor briefly and it was a pleasant bike and seemed to do most things quite well. Here in the UK, we don't seem to embrace the concept of sub half litre bikes, "Too slow" , my mates have said ! They surely are missing the point ,as not only do you get the economy with petrol at an all time high, but they fall into the cheaper road tax bracket ! I'm looking forward to riding a classic demonstrator soon . Great review Mark .
Yeah these bikes are used in India for a reason. Cheap, cheerful, good quality, great in traffic and economical. I'd much prefer one of these than a 125. It makes 6 horses more than a 125 and cost about the same. You can't go wrong. Infact, an MT125 is £4500, has 14bhp, does 0 to 60 in 14 seconds max. a RE 350 is less money, sounds better, does 0 to 60 in 12ish seconds.... This little gem beats all 125s.. sure I know its not a 125 buts it's in the same price category as these bikes.
Totally agree, always had big bikes but recently have moved to an interceptor for bobing around on and a benelli trk502 for my trips away, both excellent budget bikes, the meteor/classic would definitely fit in next to them no problems, fast bikes are great but rising fuel costs and to many speed restrictions make it a bit redundant in my eyes, take time and enjoy the ride I say👍👍
With 500 miles on the clock i’m getting 83mpg. Definitely improving with run in! For anyone interested in a comparison she rides just like the original 350 bullet in terms of engine smoothness.
With the ever increasing price of fuel these days……set to be the thick end of £2/litre within the near future, bikes like this little beauty are particularly coming into their own for people of modest means such as myself. Great review as always Mark…best wishes 👍
Hi Mark ,Had a test ride on the same bike from Loegria and loved it ! Got back to Brockenhurst ,saw Claire and ordered one in Halcyon green . Claire and other staff at Loegria were amazing ,so helpful . Looking forward to its arrival . Great review ,know that area of the forest well ,a stunning place to ride a motorcycle .
You are rapidly becoming the number one bike tester on you tube, correction, you are number 1. Reviews are great. Fuel economy will be a bonus when fuel hits 2 quid a litre soon.
Those bikes appear to be overbuilt ...... in a good way. Look at the old Meridan Triumph 500 and 650 cc models with their single downtube frames. That little 350 has a massive arrangement by comparison. It may be heavy but that = STRONG. Add the under stressed, speed limited motor and it's safe to say that bike won't break in several lifetimes!
Great review Mark as usual. If i had the room I'd get the classic 350 in a heartbeat. That halcyon green looks lovely when the sun catches it but the chrome versions are also lovely so it would be a hard decision to choose which one to buy. 'RE are definitely on the up making great bikes at affordable prices. I would certainly take this over the Benelli 400
Had a first look at one of these in the same green as this one at my local dealer yesterday. It is very nice, particularly the colour, but I still like my stellar blue meteor better. Lower, softer seat and less polished surfaces to maintain. My husband has his own meteor and is still feeling satisfied with it after having a sit on the classic.
mark you're doing no less than charity towards us RE lovers with these early reviews i wudn't be engaging in hyperbole to tell u that ur takes are much more detailed and overall more riveting than reviewers here in the local market, thanks a lot and keep 'em coming! by the way, could u shed a bit of light on what the RE 350 classic competes with in the UK market?
Hi the classic competes with the Benelli imperiale 400 in the UK and as far as new bikes go that's about it ...we don't have the hness yet ? Many thanks 👍
I had a second Classic 350 test drive yesterday, this time a bike with exactly that configuration! This bike was completely different than the first: not overly loud, easy to shift gears, no false neutrals. A great bike. The first bike i tested must have been severely mistreated earlier.....
Another pleasant and informative review on the new Classic Mark. The Halcyon Green with single seat and optional undersprung seat option is my favorite too. A second choice might be the Bronze/chrome. Interestingly, I thought the Dark variant was to come with cast alloy wheels similar to my Meteor. Perhaps that's changed or it's what MotoGB has specified. I did just notice the Classic comes with rear side bag supports. How nice! Have to admit, love my Meteor but the Classic is a better looking bike. Take care and thank you for the terrific review.
The rest of the world appears to be getting models with alloy wheels but not the UK for some reason. Likewise we are not getting the "signals" models with the military paint jobs nor are we getting the lovely gloss vintage green paint job. Great pity really; I don't see the benefit to the customers in limiting choice...
Another great review Mark. I test rode one last Saturday and thought it was a super bike, but want to ride the Meteor and possibly the Himilayan and 411 Scram which should be with us later in the year before making a final decision. But really fancy a RE single.
An absolute winner, I'm going to test ride one soon. I wonder if they will launch a 500cc version in the future. With about 30bhp and especially if they keep the weight the same that would be as near to the perfect bike as you could get. The 350 is lovely for solo but might struggle a little with a passenger.
They stopped making the 500 a year or so ago, still some around new or the second hand market. I have 2, Edith (2015) and Esmay (2014) 22bhp. Wonderful hassle free motorcycles.
Wonderful little bike much prefer the looks to the meteor especially with the single seat.Leogria are a brilliant dealer, i purchased my interceptor from them last year an they have been fantastic.
Thanks for your second review of the Classic 350. I much prefer the Classic to the Meteor which I tried last year. I’ve done 120 miles on my Halcyon green and the engine is already starting to loosen a little. The running in schedule is my only gripe apart from the gear lever position, less than 50 mph for 1200 miles seems ridiculous.
Thanks for your review of this "Classic", Just yesterday I went down to the Royal Enfield dealer and sat on a new Meteor and was impressed with build quality and comfort, but I am not a fan of the cruiser placement of the footpegs. I much preffer pegs down under or nearer the seat. I am told that the Classic is coming in later next month so I am much looking foward to trying it out as it appears to have foot pegs closer to the seat under the rider. Pricing is what got me to look at Enfield but overall quality seems very good. I havent had a bike for several years and am looking foward to getting back into the relaxed layed back riding I do on the country roads where the scenery is nicer and traffic way lower.
I am pleased to say I have the Meteor which I love but if this was available at the time, it would have been hard to choose. I think charming is a good word to describe the classic, what's not to like. Nice review thanks Mark.
Great looking motorcycle I think that particular colour scheme looks stunning thanks for the brilliant video Mark . As a new mature rider the Classic is definitely on my radar as a first Bike
Well I have been riding since 1970 and have just bought this exact model and colour. Having covered my first 135 miles it’s a great bike, superbly made I have know idea how they sell so cheaply.

i used to have a bandit 1200 and now a sv650 from 2004. Never sold my daily ride, a scooter (sh300i from 2011 with only 27hp). super reliable, soft, confortable and 30km/l easy...there are plenty of bikes and powers for everyone. even a 8hp honda supercub may be a daily ride and adventure motorbike.
Hi Mark. I went to my local RE dealer in Boston and tried both the Classic and Hunter. The Hunter had an amazing sound but the Classic wasn’t far behind. I love the looks of both bike but found the Classic more comfortable. I bought the Dark Stealth one with red trim. I’m getting it this Saturday. I don’t know what it is about the Classic but as soon as I let the clutch out I was like “this is it”.
@@markpulling12 thanks for your reply Mark. I passed my test in June (this year) and have been riding a 1958 Velocette MAC since. It's a lovely bike but the pedals are the opposite way round to a modern bike, and the brakes..the less said the better 🙄. I'm planning to get either the Hunter or the Classic quite soon so your videos are great to watch and gain some insight into each one 👍
Hi yes but only because I think it looks a bit better....they both ride similar but the meteor is a bit more laid back and comfortable...but I'd get the classic:) Cheers mark
G'day Mark, their has been a lot of interest World wide about the Royal Enfield 350 and you can see why it a fantastic bike, looks very classic, l am personally disappointed that Royal Enfield dropped the 500cc model l bought the 2021 650 Interceptor and was going to follow up buying the 500 model not knowing they were no longer made and what models were available had all been sold in Australia by the time l went back to the dealer, do you think they will bring the 500 model back. Another great review, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Agree, a fab bike and why bother with a screen for pottering around. Some of you may want a bit of weather protection for longer rides involving dual carriages and motorways - just get it run in to at least stay with HGV’s for shelter on faster roads.
I have to say Mark that Royal Enfield really do have the best color choice of all the manufacturers and I don't think there is a model I don't like really a great classic brand : )
Here’s hoping they make it to Canada this summer Mark,so far it’s only the meteors, the 650 twins n and the Himalayans that are available.great looking bike and resourceful review again.thank you.
Great review again,,wot a lovely looking and sounding bike ,it will be the blue/ gray for me ,only down side I got to part x my 98 cbr600,,,,b4 it kills me not a good first big bike ,and being 52 I like being alive,,keep up your very good works,
Sorry I missed to make my choice, I would go for the classic all days of the week but this would In my case be a second bike in my garage an alternative to mi Triumph T100 from 2014.
Great factual impartial review again Mark. I’d reckon that with petrol prices continuing to rise people may start using bikes for commuting again and this sort of economical and cheap bike should do it really well.
A lovely bike. Ok, owning a bigger bike and fancy the British Classic experience (without the hassle and cost)? Buy this bike and an Open Face to accommodate the smile.
The RST winter jacket and pants look good, Mark. Nice-looking bike, as well. It really looks pleasant to ride. 70 mph is enough. It's for the use you put it to in this video. No need for high speed. It would make a great London commuter bike. My MZ did me nicely in that respect. I think it had better front brakes than this RE. Finally, all RE engines are visually attractive. Excellent review.
I love this motorcycle ! official presentation today in the shop of my region in France (Arcachon)! ...and yes we are watching you from France, I like your relevance in motorcycle testing and it also allows me to visit your English countryside which I appreciate very much. 👍 Ps: Could you put back the subtitles available because since a few videos the translation of your words are no longer available, "of course if it depends on you" Thank you in advance.
I'd forego the lovely sight of the painted rear mudguard, for a rear seat, It makes the bike look sleeker. I understand the pillionseat is bothersome to install and remove on a whim.
Hi Mark, just watched your great review of the Classic 350. I simply have to get one. Now, what colour? The Halcyon Green I think or then again maybe 🤔 the bronze. Keep up the good reviews. So much better than some other so called "reviewers". Ride safe everyone. Iain.

Good Stuff Mark. After 50 years Motorcycle Riding in UK. I have come to live in Thailand Had every different Bike there is. But I am going to buy RE here in Thailand Just which one. I dont know.
Royal Enfield are making some great bikes these days. I think if I was getting another it would be one of these or one of the 650 twins. Will you be getting the new "Gold Star" 650 to test Mark? Great video by the way and nice local scenery makes your vids so relaxing.
Hi Peter yes I'll be trying very hard to source the new gold star .....if it ever becomes available.... nobody seems to have a clue what's happening with it !!!
I do not wear a sari, nor does anyone who will ever sit on my motorcycle. Thus, I wish it didn't have the sari guards in the rear. I also wish it was a 400cc with 30 horsepower so it would cruise easily at 75 mph. Great looking bike though and great review Mark!
The UK models don't have Sari guards, they are Indian market only. TEC Bike Parts have produced a camshaft upgrade for the Himalayan that gives a 20% power increase and they have mentioned doing something similar for the Meteor/Classic. ruclips.net/video/EX0trTt_z2k/видео.html
@@markpulling12 Awesome, thank you. and great videos by the way! I plan on getting a Classic 350 as soon as I step back on dry land in October/November 😄😄
Hey Mark, for someone who uses his bike to commute to work (about 25 miles) and mainly uses a bit of dual carriageways (few miles of it) plus loads of single carriageways and country roads, would you recommend the Himalayan or the TRK 502? I'm 5ft 10 btw.
Man I like the deep green color on that bike. Could they do one with the 650? Royal Enfield hasn’t sold well here in Wisconsin, but when I test rode the Baker Express last year I was very impressed. Would like to see tubeless tires, so road repair could be done. Great video and the choice of the New Forest was brilliant. Keep ‘em coming Mark!
Hi Bucky, fellow badger here. Why has Royal Enfield not sold well in Wisconsin? Probably because they are underpowered. The 350 single should be making 30 hp instead of 22 and the 650 twins should be making 65 hp instead of 45. But that’s not going to happen when you have to meet Euro5 emissions and refuse to use water cooling. For an extra $3500, a Honda CBR650R will give you twice the horsepower of an Interceptor 650. Also, Wisconsin is the home of Harley.
@@jamesdarnell8568 James in Europe you are restricted to 47 hp for beginner rider license A2. I bought a Honda NC750x 6 speed manual last year and I really like it. Only 58hp but the engine produces good torque low down. I have two bigger touring bikes ( 2016 Triumph Explorer 1200 XRT and 2017 Triumph Trophy SE ) that are long distance bikes with cruise control and 135hp. Royal Enfield is a huge motorcycle manufacturer in India, but they haven’t caught on in my area Milwaukee.
Yes I did mention about the centre stand at the end of the video it does have one ....yes I'd highly recommend one of these they are so popular and very good value cheers mark

Hi Rick yes they are amazing bikes ...I have the hunter myself and it's going great. 1000 miles now
Best wishes mark
Which one do you prefer Mark, the Hunter or the Classic?
@@l0ner1der I bought the hunter :)
@@l0ner1der i bought theClassic. I thought it gave a better ride.
Nice single seat beautiful royal Enfield 💙👍
Thanks Andrew. Yes looks great with the single seat ☺️
Single seat is looking more good 👍
Bought a classic. Chrome Bronze and single seat option taken only done 150 miles but loving it
Thanks Paul great colour 😊
Chrome red is more good in my view 😀
Excelent ! Love that colour..
I love the way you make the review. I was inspired to buy one because of your review. Hi there from the Philippines I am Mac
Many thanks Mac :)
The classic looks lovely especially with the single seat
Absolutely u r correct , but I like chrome red model and I booked in "MIY " option , 👍
Hi Mark, just wondering if you prefer the classic over the Meteor?
Hi yes but only because I think it looks a bit better....they both ride similar but the meteor is a bit more laid back and comfortable...but I'd get the classic:)
Cheers mark
Green Metalic Paint is Awesome , Really nice little Bike!
Thanks Neil ☺️
Agree, a fab bike and why bother with a screen for pottering around. Some of you may want a bit of weather protection for longer rides involving dual carriages and motorways - just get it run in to at least stay with HGV’s for shelter on faster roads.
Thanks Pete 😊
Great video, I love the colour too. A really nice little bike!
Thanks Gary 😊
Great vid Mark, definitely looks better without rear seat, imo!
Thanks mark that's what I thought
I have to say Mark that Royal Enfield really do have the best color choice of all the manufacturers and I don't think there is a model I don't like really a great classic brand : )
Yes I agree love all the colours:)
I have bought my Meteor from them, very nice team and great customer service!
Thanks...yes great team :)
Nicke review of a nice little bike. Lovely mix of walk around and test drive. Good job mr.
Many thanks thomas
Love the old classic bikes fantastic review mark royal Enfield super👍
Here’s hoping they make it to Canada this summer Mark,so far it’s only the meteors, the 650 twins n and the Himalayans that are available.great looking bike and resourceful review again.thank you.
Cheers brett
Great review again,,wot a lovely looking and sounding bike ,it will be the blue/ gray for me ,only down side I got to part x my 98 cbr600,,,,b4 it kills me not a good first big bike ,and being 52 I like being alive,,keep up your very good works,
I much prefer the classic after riding both. Thanks for the fantastic review
Thanks Anita my pleasure 😊
Great video. Hope to own one of these bikes one day. A really really nice bike
Another great review, thanks. Can’t wait to get a go on one.
I'm sure your going to love it cheers mark
Great review 👍! Certainly a worthy modern successor to the old 350 Bullet 😉.
Thanks Dan :)
Think I am going to have to get myself one of these. Great review as usual Mark.
Thanks Jon yes go on treat yourself 😊
A lovely bike. Ok, owning a bigger bike and fancy the British Classic experience (without the hassle and cost)? Buy this bike and an Open Face to accommodate the smile.
The RST winter jacket and pants look good, Mark. Nice-looking bike, as well. It really looks pleasant to ride. 70 mph is enough. It's for the use you put it to in this video. No need for high speed. It would make a great London commuter bike. My MZ did me nicely in that respect. I think it had better front brakes than this RE. Finally, all RE engines are visually attractive.
Excellent review.
Hi nik thanks 👍😊
My next purchase. Simple classic bike. What riding is all about at the end of the day.
I enjoy your reviews. Great stuff.
I love this motorcycle ! official presentation today in the shop of my region in France (Arcachon)! ...and yes we are watching you from France, I like your relevance in motorcycle testing and it also allows me to visit your English countryside which I appreciate very much. 👍
Ps: Could you put back the subtitles available because since a few videos the translation of your words are no longer available, "of course if it depends on you" Thank you in advance.
Ok I'll have a look at subtitles....I haven't touched anything my end
Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Thank you for the subtitles, it's super nice 👍😊
Great review, I’ve ordered a chrome / Bronze to share space with my interceptor , I live in Austria so won’t get it for 2 months at least
Still waiting ……………
Nice looking bike, colour, seat, and style.
I like the single seat look
Me too 😊
I'd forego the lovely sight of the painted rear mudguard, for a rear seat, It makes the bike look sleeker.
Iain.
Thanks lain :)
Hi Mark My Motor cycle is Rayal Enfield Classic 350 cc alloi wheel helican black 3 months bike l am raid at 500 miles at India 🇮🇳 Tamilnadu. Your vedio is very good. 🙏
Many thanks Great choice 😊
Superb review mark really enjoy your channel safe journeys best wishes from the Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪 👍
Hi Jason best regards to Ireland:)
Mr T Like both bikes classic and meteor just not keen on alloys hop to get an R E soon what u think about alloys on a classic suppose its ones choice not mine by the way are these alloy rims on classic ??
Good Stuff Mark. After 50 years Motorcycle Riding in UK.
I have come to live in Thailand
Had every different Bike there is.
But I am going to buy RE here in Thailand Just which one. I dont know.
Sounds great living in Thailand
Nice weather for biking
Cheers mark
Royal Enfield are making some great bikes these days. I think if I was getting another it would be one of these or one of the 650 twins. Will you be getting the new "Gold Star" 650 to test Mark? Great video by the way and nice local scenery makes your vids so relaxing.
Hi Peter yes I'll be trying very hard to source the new gold star .....if it ever becomes available.... nobody seems to have a clue what's happening with it !!!
Halcyon green. Is this a good color for this motorcycle?
Halcyon gray is nice, but no longer available. Halcyon black is a bit boring.
Thanks James 😊
Lovely motor bike…
Awesome review Mark ..
Thanks Stephen....I'm going to have to get one of these one-day:)
Hi what was the song in the intro and where do you get your music from?
Hi it's called soft style by capturez
On upbeat.io
Many thanks 👍
@@markpulling12 Awesome, thank you. and great videos by the way! I plan on getting a Classic 350 as soon as I step back on dry land in October/November 😄😄
I loveee this bike I'm sixteen and just cant wait to buy one!
Not too long to wait Julie :)
Thanks for making this video!
It looks and sounds gorgeous!
Nice review thanks Mark - have traded my 500 for one of these:)....you're the same height and middle aged weight as me so should be alright !
Thanks Tom great choice 😊
All Classic tanks golden stripes are hand painted 😊
Hey Mark, for someone who uses his bike to commute to work (about 25 miles) and mainly uses a bit of dual carriageways (few miles of it) plus loads of single carriageways and country roads, would you recommend the Himalayan or the TRK 502? I'm 5ft 10 btw.
Hi I had a trk for 3000 miles great bike with no problems...would cruise at 70 mph all day I'd say the trk would be best for you
@@markpulling12 Thanks Mark!
Beautiful bike! Would this bike be a good fit for 6’-2” per7?
Hi Michael yes it would be fine :)
Thanks Mark,,please if it's possible a video about Sinnis Outlaw 125cc.I love your testdrives...thank you for your efforts.👍
Hi I'll see if I can get hold of one :)
Thanks 👍👍
RE is always about character. I think there was classic 500 which is discontinued from 2020
Lovely. Thankfully it doesn't have that tripper gimmick.
Centre stand??? Didnt here you there? if so worth buying if not its a Triumph?
Yes I did mention about the centre stand at the end of the video it does have one ....yes I'd highly recommend one of these they are so popular and very good value cheers mark
