Slightly terrifying watching you thread through the lorries.. and the only person who moved for you was the supercar ( Lamborghini?) who has zero visibility but moved for you. Credit!
Freddie has ridden in Bali so it’ll seem like nothing to him. There’s an east - west road from Gillimanuk to Denpasar that is just 50 miles smoke spewing lorries on a bumpy surface. Really tests your riding skills lol
Proof positive that travelling can be done on any bike. Love that 350. Soft panniers and a 50mph tour is ideal. Less really is more, sometimes. Cold hands? 'Borrow' a couple of plastic gloves from the diesel pump at a filling station. Worn on the outside of summer gloves they make enough of difference to keep going. Beautiful part of the world. Enjoy. Safe travels 👍
Ah I’ll try wearing them on the outside of my biking gloves. I usually try the plastic gloves on the inside and don’t find it helps hugely, so your method may be better. Thanks🙌🏻
Went to Spain on an old Indian 500 Enfield 2100 trouble free miles, 55 mph all the way, drew a crowd everywhere I stopped. I think people loved to see a bike kick started!!
I purchased a Royal Enfield 500 Bullet from Ebay, a number of years ago, collected it in Grimsby and drove it to Holyhead in a day and got the ferry back to Ireland it was a very memorable trip did the whole trip on one tank of fuel!
Freddie I’ve been sceptical about your channel in the past but you have won this grumpy older biker over. Good work good videos and all enjoying the material so far Thanks
Did a 150 mile ride in South Wales yesterday, taking in Gospel Pass and Llyn Brianne. Same day as your trip, and it was quite pleasant. Obviously you were far enough further north to make a difference. :-) Listening to the Enfield's exhaust took me right back to 1968, when I had passed my test and was riding my first "big" bike, an Ariel single, around Welsh roads.
It's hard to imagine a more perfect bike to take in 1000 miles of gorgeous blue sky overhead, and fantastic scenery around. It will simply not allow you to rush and race away the miles even if you wanted to for some reason. Just contemplating life to the soothing deep rumble of that motor must be an absolute dream. And then when you stop, and park you have this beautiful thing to look at.
Living in Shropshire on the Welsh borders I recognize many of the roads and places in the video - dont tell everyone how good it is, they'll all come! If you get a chance ride the road from Machynlleth to Llanidloes via Staylittle - you will love it!
Has a child I was lucky because my father was a singer it aloud us to travel with him sometimes so we used holiday in Wales and we stayed with a lovely lady I used to call Auntie Blodd and back then Wales was so beautiful and untouched with the painted houses and back alleys And lots of greenery I saw all this sitting in my dad's Ford Zephyr good old day's
As with your Scottish trip, we travel Europe and the World in search of beautiful roads and places, yet as this video shows we have such beauty right here in the United Kingdom all on our doorstep…. Thank you for your beautiful filming showing the best our country has to offer 👍
Lovely bike, Freddie. I bought mine a year ago and it has 5000 kms without any flaws now. Snowdonia... A long time ago, I made it several times to the Dragon Rallye, on my BMW side-car outfit. Quite a way up from Luxembourg and back, especially in February. I still got the Sidecar and rode it this afternoon, it is 34 years young now. The Royal Enfield, (bronze/chrome version) I bought on the spot it when I stepped into the shop last year to buy winter gloves. No regrets - a fantastic machine if one understands its philosophy. Ride safe , - best wishes : in two hours we're in 2024, now that I am writing these lines.
You're right about the philosophy. I sometimes feel the need to try and explain myself to others who strictly ride big, fire breathing machines, but you either get it or you don't it seems. Happy riding!
Wales is still a hidden gem - everyone goes to the Lake District or Scotland and somehow Wales gets a bit forgotten. The Elan valley from Aberystwyth to Rhayader is one of the most beautiful routes in the UK
Croeso I Cymru Freddie and Monika! When you were in the knockin shop you were 31 miles to south from my home….I know you are on a biggish tour, but please do come again to the very north following the A5 across to Snowdonia Anglesey the lleyn peninsula Really will blow you away and also I’d be really happy to show you all the best places …. Meantime, enjoy your stay and travels through Pembrokeshire and along the south coast … I lived in Mid Glamorgan for three years before moving up to North Wales and been here for the last 35 years…. Go happily safely with a lot of fun and thanks for your films . PS I’m seriously thinking about buying a classic 350 based on your reviews and some others . I’ve always had faster bikes, but all they do for me, is bring unwanted attention of a speeding ticket… and they are pretty hot and up here with speeding in North Wales….
Great bike for those Welsh roads. Loved the observations, no mobile signal, it's Wales, no Starbucks or Costa, it's Wales, far between petrol stations, it's Wales, I love wales😊
From Canada where we can't (and dare not) filter around transport trucks and cars on the highway, those scenes were as scary as the scenic road scenes in Wales were relaxing.
I grew up on the borders ....in a welsh town called wrexham. The countryside is stunning where you are ....enjoy and keep sending the videos .....this one warms my heart as I live in western Australia now.
Back in the late 90's I had a Honda CB125TB2. It was a twin cylinder, twin carb machine that would; reasonably easily, do 85 to 90 mph on a long straight. What made me think of the little Honda Freddie, was when you mentioned that the Classic was red lining at 70 mph. For me that's just not enough. I live in Huddersfield in Yorkshire which; for those that know, is equally as hilly as where you filmed this vlog. I take my wife to work most nights in the car on a journey of more or less 20 miles. Sadly, the Classic just wouldn't have the necessary power to carry us two fatties plus luggage up most of these hills around here. I have been watching shed loads of videos on new bikes as I am going to get another one, probably next year. I really would like the new Classic 650 which is due out in the not too distant future and that will have enough power to transport the Yorkshire Fat Club around, lol..........
Love the tour of Whales. I’ve never been, but my sister lived in the UK for a number of years. She always spoke highly of Wales and the welsh people. I can now see why she found the area so beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Thanks for making the video.
Myself and the missus trailered the Harley and Mutt to Cornwall and the Mutt blew my mind, two up on the 250 Mutt, hundreds of miles, flat out, full throttle and it never skipped a beat....the Harlwy was a dream but the Mutt was amazing.
Once you reached Wales, it was evident that you had travelled back in time, travelling on the perfect time machine. In fact, seeing the occasional modern automobile wizz by was a bit jarring and seemed not in keeping with the serene image of the surroundings on your ride. The image of the bike in the evening light at the shore was magical and perfect. Great stuff Freddie. I'm a huge fan.
Here in the US, in New Jersey it's 99° today and has been in the 90's all summer. My Road King and I would prefer it a bit cooler but we're still getting around OK. "The long hot Summer" and I'm loving it so being cold on a bike in August is unimaginable for me right now! Freddie you are a gentleman and your eye for great camera shots is superb. Part of what makes your videos so enjoyable.
I played in those winding lanes and woods, swam in the rivers and felt the wind in my face on those hills. Nothing like growing up totally safe, strongly identified , immersed in the beauty around you so vibrant it has a personality.
Great filtering, Freddie. That little thumper's soundtrack is far too lovely to be tinkled over with piano music. Thank you for catching this experience on video.
Did a Wales tour last week on my own Classic 350 complete with camping gear - no problems with the bike at all. Will sit happily at 65 if you have to go on the motorway but I try to avoid them. Ive had bigger bikes in the past but honestly love the Classic 350 - there's just something about it that I can't describe - but it just makes you feel good - which is what its all about. Enjoy your trip Freddie
We used to pass through Knockin on holiday to North Wales back in the 70’s and used to joke how it was a ghost town, as we’d never see anyone, or anything in fact.
Thanks for the video Freddie. I was on a tour in Wales at the weekend. You’re right spectacular! Amazing lakes and mountains. Llyn Clywedog was a personal favourite. There’s a good fish and chip shop on the front where you’re staying. They even do vegan fish ( jackfruit apparently). Looking forward to the next video!
Did the passes earlier this month Gospel pass, Hellfire pass, devils staircase, it was my biblical tour so took in Bethlehem to Nazareth as well. Did the top gear road as it’s called over the black mountains all on my Himalayan. Stunning so please I’m a couple of hours away and will be back this year to do the Crimea pass. Come on Freddie and Monica let’s get a classic 350 ordered and a relocation to Wales !
Hey Freddie I'm an Englishman living in Wales and consider myself so fortunate for doing so but just watch out for the speed camera vans when you least expect them. Looking from your window towards the end of the vlog I know where you are staying, don't panic I won't stalk you both lol, it's a lovely part of Wales, I think we're even forecast some decent weather, enjoy and ride safe.
Ahaha. Yes. 11:40. That's what i was thinking when you were at the coffee shop. You'll know you're in Wales when the quality of everything drops by about 30%. No lovely coffee shops and quaint little villages in Wales. I'm in Brecon. I swear it looks like corn du in your background and the sign said Powys., as big as it is. Really pleased to see this video though because I plan to get my licence and buy a RE 350. I'll be driving around the beacons, but would like to escape on a motorway from time to time too.
Freddie you need to come to South Wales, we have the best beaches down here. Love the fact that you have come to Wales. We have the best roads, full of Twisties. Would recommend the going over the black mountains from Llandovery (known as the Top gear Road), unfortunately it's down to 40mph and had average speed cameras :(
Went to wales a few weeks back, although I wasn't as lucky with the weather, I still had a great time riding in the mountains. This is my favourite place in the UK, looks like you had a great adventure!
I had a 1964 (?) Royal Enfield Crusader 250 many years ago when I was 17. Great bike for getting across the city to school and for meeting the girlfriend. Probably wouldn't have considered going to Wales on it though!
I just bought the RE Classic 350 in New Orleans, Louisianna USA. Flew in, took a ride to the dealership, and rode it to Atlanta, Georgia over 3 days - The bike started with 5 miles on the clack and now has almost 900.
Great to see you in Wales Freddie and hot on the heels of TMF in Barmouth. In case of emergencies there is a Starbucks on the side of the road by Dolgellau just up the road from you! Have a great trip 😀 Ps, if your still in the area and time allows, there is an epic route if you go to Dinas Mawddwy and turn left heading to lake Vyrnwy.
hey dude, love your videos-- your enthusiasm about motorbikes is infectious. are you going to do one on the hunter 350..i am thinking of getting one soon but then also thinking about the INT 650.
Looking forward to that. Rebel blue is probably the coolest. I got the Dapper Grey Hunter 350 used, 300 miles in and 1st service done, with no idea can I floor it yet or not (that extended break in..). Was torn between it and the Classic. Classic has better posture and reach to the handlebars, so it is more relaxed for cruising. But the Hunter, while more forward hunched, is noticeably lighter and more flickable, and it lends itself well enough to standing while riding over rough terrain, as the fuel tank has cut-outs and it is slim in profile. The overall size and weight of the Hunter feels "scramblery" despite the stiff road suspension, whereas in the Classic I felt standing was a bit obstructed by the fuel tank and the weight & wheelbase was starting to be excessive for maneuvering into narrow spots. The cheaper price and compact size won me over for the Hunter, as it fits my yard better as well. Enjoying your videos, Wales is beautiful. t. Finland
@@pmay222where did you get that from? The only person I have heard postulate that is Stuart Fillingham based on a countdown for the release of a new bullet model and I think that was more wishing. Guesses for the Classic 650 launch, if it happens range from the end of this year until sometime in 2026.
I just Completed a 2000 mile trip in 4 days thru Montana and Idaho, I checked off Glacier National Park twice in one day, Sawtooth Pass Idaho and Lolo pass from Idaho to Montana then back thru Glacier park back to home in Alberta. My face is red with wind and sun burn. My Triumph Trophy is covered in Bugs and dirt from the trip. Start the Laundry and bike cleaning tomorrow AM !!!!!
It took a second to realise that filtering was sped up 😂😂 the difference it makes when other vehicle drivers make that bit of space between lanes is massive, you aren't slowing them up and you can just stay safe and out of their way. Also re the summer gloves, I know you like a top tip...get yourself some thin cotton gloves, or cheap running gloves from somewhere like Sports Direct, keep them in an inside pocket on your jacket or under your bike's seat - wear them under your summer gloves when it is cold, what a difference it makes!!
Definitely, I got a wonderful pair of really thin Marino wool gloves at a cycling shop, amazing under the bike gloves. I actually use my cycling kit under my biker gear. It's amazing for breathable and wind proofing.
Quite a coincidence. I just watched this in my hotel in Snowdonia, the day after you filmed it, whilst in the middle of a 4 day road trip to North Wales. My Triumph is actually working, so I left my 350 Classic at home and came on that (sorry, I couldn’t resist that 😀). Shame about the weather - I was in full winter gear today. Enjoy the rest of the trip. Im looking forward to the videos 😀😀😀
Patagonia region in Argentina (the country where I live) has several villages with population of Welsh ancestry. Also landscapes are very similar to those of Snowdonia.
I posted a comment on a previous video, saying " you shouldn't buy a small royal enfield, as it won't be suitable for long journeys" well Freddie, you have proved me wrong and made me eat my words. It just goes to show that the saying, the perfect bike for your next adventure is the one you have. If you make another video, PLEASE could you show what gear (soft luggage) you are using, and let us know if its suitable i.e waterproof. Thanks.
Welcome to Wales freddie, hope you both enjoy the trip. I don't live to far from the brecon beacons, the roads and scenery are amazing however there are better places you must go to when you come over next time.
I really like the idea of reliability when it comes to these bikes, and I really like the idea of traveling vast distances, this could probably never happen on my 1942 matchless g3l single rigid frame!
I can vouch for the fact that it was cold yesterday. I picked up my beautiful tri-colour 2014 Fireblade from Kent Motorcycles and rode it 150+ miles home. Had to buy a Honda-branded tee shirt at the dealership to add an extra layer.
Looking forward to this adventure, i go to Wales as often as possible. The road's are amazing, great watching the classic popping along. I've seen all your adventures but this little adventure on the 350 is just as entertaining. There is an Irish chap who resembles Ed Sheeran 😂 goes all round France, Italy and Germany etc on a bullet 500 which he calls Daisy Bell! You actually take in the journey more and feel less fatigued with the lighter smaller bike. Brilliant 👍 looking forward to the next one 😊😃
Really good work and very happy to go on countryside rides and especially to the coffee shop. The background scenarios are amazing and we are thankful for them. Happy ride! Please share more countryside videos with us.
Myself and my colleague do a pilgrimage through much of the same area on our way to Anglesey. The highlight is Cross gates to Newtown.... fantastic smooth, cambered road. Awesome riding around there.
@@FreddieDobbs You're welcome Mate. I was on the way to my MOT which was 300 yards away but i wouldn't of left you stranded though. Well it passed. I take all my bikes & cars there. 😉
Great video. Snowdonia has been popping up lately in my RUclips motorcycle feeds. It is a beautiful area. Regarding the cold, living in Idaho I always have winter gloves and layers in my paniers year round just in case. Sometimes that isn’t enough to keep the chill off. So a coffee stop is always in order. Have a great trip.
Wales and Scotland are really quite similar. Long gaps between finding coffee stops, phone signal poor, fuel stops are full up when you can, more cattle than people. The views/scenery are spectacular in both countries though 🥰
If ever you find your summer gloves are inadequate, wear some plastic fuel station protective gloves under them, makes a heck of a difference if your caught out.
What a pleasure to watch. Wales has some great seanary. The Airbnb looks ace and appears to be short of nothing. Go easy on that filtering. It's not always the heavys that don't see you it can also be the car drivers who may not use their left hand mirror's. Otherwise, keep up with the videos and can't wait for the next one. 👍😎
This is a decent road trip Freddie, good on you , I've just fitted Enfield's pannier frames and Lomo bags to my Gunmetal grey classic for some decent trips and bike rallies on it . It makes me laugh how people underestimate the capabilities and reliability of these great little machines ! Have a great trip ,looking forward to the rest of these videos One piece of advice, when you're travelling somewhere like Wales or Scotland take a flask and snacks in your bags, and don't go past the last petrol station without topping up.
If you're coming down to Brecon. Def stop off at Two Dogs Coffe shop. They have a roastery on site. Great coffee. You'll love it. And also you must ride over the Black mountain pass and have one of Kev's ice creams whilst taking in the view. 😎
Slightly terrifying watching you thread through the lorries.. and the only person who moved for you was the supercar ( Lamborghini?) who has zero visibility but moved for you. Credit!
Wouldn’t want a scratch in that 😂
Best part of riding in the city is the squeeze through the traffic
The camera makes it look closer than it is. That bike is a breeze to filter through traffic.
Ya think that’s fun, you should try it with a big Harley lol
Freddie has ridden in Bali so it’ll seem like nothing to him. There’s an east - west road from Gillimanuk to Denpasar that is just 50 miles smoke spewing lorries on a bumpy surface. Really tests your riding skills lol
That shot in front of coffee shop and the mountains where you talk about no coffee shops or petrol stations were stunning
Please ask Monica do do a print of that pic. I’ll be your first customer 😀

It would be a bit shocking if a new bike had issues on 1k miles,
Come to India.. you'll find plenty of these and plenty of filtering through crazy traffic.😊

Beautiful bike, great trip. What more can you ask for. Thanks for sharing Freddie! You need your own show, great presenting voice!
This is his own show.
@@longjonwhite very true. Ok what I guess I meant was something more mainstream, a show on netflix or something.
I had a 1964 (?) Royal Enfield Crusader 250 many years ago when I was 17. Great bike for getting across the city to school and for meeting the girlfriend. Probably wouldn't have considered going to Wales on it though!
This is truly a Classic countryside
Loving the channel Freddie, a brilliant antidote to the madness of today's world !!!!
I just bought the RE Classic 350 in New Orleans, Louisianna USA. Flew in, took a ride to the dealership, and rode it to Atlanta, Georgia over 3 days - The bike started with 5 miles on the clack and now has almost 900.
Rode the HNTR last week. Great bike, lots of fun, love the look and feel of it and very good brakes. That 350 single is a joy.
Special thanks for sharing your videos and adventures.Stay Safe and enjoy riding with your sweet voice partner!
My mind always comes to a relax mode whenever i tune into ur videos. Its like a comfort food.
So so glad you recorded this near a busy road. It's not annoying at all
Freddie, great video, always enjoy your enthusiasm about what you’re doing and/or riding. Great share mate!
Great to see you in Wales Freddie and hot on the heels of TMF in Barmouth.
In case of emergencies there is a Starbucks on the side of the road by Dolgellau just up the road from you! Have a great trip 😀
Ps, if your still in the area and time allows, there is an epic route if you go to Dinas Mawddwy and turn left heading to lake Vyrnwy.
Fallen in line with your videos❤.
Soothing, relaxing and best background music.
And RE the best bike for relaxing and touring.
16 degrees wow, that's a chilly winter day in Valencia
hey dude, love your videos-- your enthusiasm about motorbikes is infectious. are you going to do one on the hunter 350..i am thinking of getting one soon but then also thinking about the INT 650.
Thanks Frederick🙌🏻 I think the Super Meteor will be the next Enfield, although I will try and test the Hunter within the next two months or so
the 500 classic rumoured to come out 1st september...hold your £
Looking forward to that. Enjoying your videos, Wales is beautiful. t. Finland
@@pmay222do you mean the classic 650 🤔 or are you referring to the rumoured launch of a new 500 bullit 😊
@@pmay222where did you get that from? The only person I have heard postulate that is Stuart Fillingham based on a countdown for the release of a new bullet model and I think that was more wishing. Guesses for the Classic 650 launch, if it happens range from the end of this year until sometime in 2026.
The new age classic 350 chrome red is the best looking modern retro today. It's my favourite too... It's a beautiful beautiful machine....
Haha yep, I’m not that quick😆
This is a brilliant tip- 100% I’m going to go to a Sports Direct or Millets to pick some up. Thanks🙌🏻🙌🏻
Or "Silks" from a Motorcycle Shop.
Wales is beautiful and so is your road trip. Love Bullet 350 and the way you present it.
Thanks.
And I am glad I did. 124274 miles approx on this same classic 350 a beautiful yet practical and retro machine for almost any terrain.
Welcome to Wales freddie, hope you both enjoy the trip. I don't live to far from the brecon beacons, the roads and scenery are amazing however there are better places you must go to when you come over next time.
That was a lovely Harley. I hope he has breakdown cover though.
I really like the idea of reliability when it comes to these bikes, and I really like the idea of traveling vast distances, this could probably never happen on my 1942 matchless g3l single rigid frame!
Lovely piece of filming as you thread the 350 through the country lanes. Built for it.
Kudos to the Huracan for giving some room, and the Knockin shop, brilliant. Keep up the great content.
Love a bit of Wales me - and Barmouth beach sure is a winner (I'm guessing you're near there?).....
That's bullet wanderer. He has a great channel doesn't he.
Really good work and very happy to go on countryside rides and especially to the coffee shop. The background scenarios are amazing and we are thankful for them. Happy ride! Please share more countryside videos with us.
As soon as you mentioned castles, I knew you were talking about Wales. Beautiful country.
Many happy miles castle hunting in Wales. Enjoy.
That Blue Supermoon was incredible. We had low mist and it sat high in the sky and lit up everything like a phosphorescent sea.
Myself and my colleague do a pilgrimage through much of the same area on our way to Anglesey. The highlight is Cross gates to Newtown.... fantastic smooth, cambered road. Awesome riding around there.
Great video, takes me back to blatting about Snowdonia on my RE 500 Classic . Happy days.
Glad you made it to Wales ok Freddie😉. I met you at the Capel/Suffolk interchange on the Orange H-D Fatboy. You was taking snapshots of the R/E.
It was a pleasure to meet you, Ian! Beautiful Harley and thanks very much for stopping to check all was good- really appreciated🤜🏼🤛🏼
As a proud Welshman .. I have to say .. I love to visit stunning Scotland!
"no one around anywhere; really beautiful"!
Love the Cardie Dude. Really ties the room together.
This is a decent road trip Freddie, good on you , I've just fitted Enfield's pannier frames and Lomo bags to my Gunmetal grey classic for some decent trips and bike rallies on it .
It makes me laugh how people underestimate the capabilities and reliability of these great little machines !
Have a great trip ,looking forward to the rest of these videos
One piece of advice, when you're travelling somewhere like Wales or Scotland take a flask and snacks in your bags, and don't go past the last petrol station without topping up.
Hey Freddie.. wish I was doing this trip. Love Wales.✌️
Ahhhh it’s a beautiful place, David🏴
Beautifully shot. That Airbnb is just too good. Btw: Monica is a good Camera person
Beautiful, thanks for the ride. Have my eye on one in Halcyon Grey. They really are a bargain for the price I’m going to enjoy it thoroughly.
If you're coming down to Brecon. Def stop off at Two Dogs Coffe shop. They have a roastery on site. Great coffee. You'll love it. And also you must ride over the Black mountain pass and have one of Kev's ice creams whilst taking in the view. 😎
It’s a l l Classic ✨
Peace of mind, landscape just breathtaking, all in all an eye candy 🌅 thx 🙏🏻
Great beaches all along the coast from Barmouth to Porthmadog.
