Sold my 1800 cc Harley and now enjoying the exact classic 350 in red/chrome. Pure joy, no power, and that gives me a smile every mile I ride. That can happen when you ride a Royal Enfield dug dug😁
And the ongoing running costs of the Royal Enfield should be reasonable also, particularly if you do your own servicing. I own a H-D and pay a mechanic for 2 services a year, but I'd do my own if I had the Classic 350). After 8 years, the Classic 350 would have paid for itself in the savings of servicing it myself. By then, I think 20HP might be all I need. Furthermore, the less powerful bikes won't wear out tyres as quickly as the more powerful machines, so a saving there also. And smaller width tyres don't seem to cost as much. But if I sold my H-D, I'd probably never be able to afford to buy back into the brand again, so I'd better keep it.
Engagement. That's what I've found. I've become so used to just twisting the throttle - in almost any gear that the mere fact that on my Classic 350 you have to think about more. Freddie for RE ambassador for sure. I have never ridden one but am totally in love with these bikes. From the Himalayan to the Interceptor, they’re all beautiful machines and Freddie has done a fantastic job at keeping me interested. Trust this goes for many other viewers. I do hope someone at RE is paying attention and realizes what Freddie and Monika have done so far for their brand.
Hi Freddie, I've been riding bikes for the last 40 years, just about every kind from cruisers to litre sports bikes and I have to say the last 12 months spent on my classic 350 have been the most enjoyable. Enough said.
I have this exact bike, totally in love with it. I bought the bike a week or two after I saw your old video on the classic 350 (watched the video same day you uploaded it). Ive just done my first oil change on it (has been changed during prior services) and I'm getting to know the bike in and out so that I can give it the care it deserves. Reccomend this bike to anyone who wants to get in touch with the origins of motorcycling and to anyone who loves a beautiful, elegant bike with a engine that almost feels alive.
I said it before and I'll say it again: you and Mr Darcy and the Old man are responsible for me getting a Classic 3 months ago. I'm SUPER happy with the bike
Freddie, loved the RE bit (Valencia)…. Wanted you to know that you were the main reason I picked up one of these just over a year ago after being out of the riding game for a bit. My classic 350 is everything you could hope for this range of bike. Just over 2500 miles now….Enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for all you do for the industry…… Best, stay safe. Gary
Hi Freddie and Monica I'm a 65yo biker but can't ride at the mo because of a knee opp but your superb videos are keeping me going I just loved your Moroccan adventure. Please get a gasket made for the Triumph 😊😊😊
I bought my Super meteor 650 touring version almost two months ago and it has been an absolute pleasure to ride even on my everyday commute. It's the best one they've created yet.
It's cold and wet outside, the temperature is near freezing and yet returning to this video makes me smile. Freddie Dobbs (and Monica) and RE, what's not to like.
Come on Freddie, I think you need an Enfield in your life. The super meteor is an amazing bike for the money, in fact all the Enfields are great bikes. (Owning a continental I'm very biased!)
In young days in India 🇮🇳 I use ride Enfield bullet it was and still my favourite 🤩 motorcycle 🏍️ though I own 2 Harley Davidson and Freddie is doing a fantastic job his presentation is always spot on. Keep it up 👍
Hello Freddy, I've been following you for some time and it was thanks to your video that I decided to buy the continental gt instead of the triumph t100 which was my first option, I already have 30 years of motorcycling and more than 15 motorcycles in my curriculum and I went through all types of bikes and I think I've reached a point in my life where I want a fun and uncomplicated but super fun bike and I thank you for that. Besides, here in Portugal there aren't many around and it's best not to be embarrassed because they'll ask you a lot of questions about it. Thank you Freddy and Mónica for your videos and thank you for taking us on the journey of a lifetime
Love this Freddie like you say just beautiful bikes that are affordable! You and Monika are just enthusiasm in jar living your best lives and spreading that enthusiasm which is infectious to everyone! As always Thanks Dan 👍😀
I travel a lot, specially backpaking in South America. I started to look into learning to ride a bike so I could have more options when traveling, specially in remote areas where public transport is not reliable. That was a year ago...In the meantime I've become a full on addict to riding. Freddie, you have been a big influence. Thanks to your reviews I bought a RE Classic 350 and I'm in love with it. Not only that, but your passion for motorycling is so contagious that I feel lucky I found your channel when I did. Thanks brother.
I seriously think that you should consider the super meteor Freddie, in the touring trim it's a solid value for money option and the back rest will be a good addition for Monika 😊
I absolutely love the Classic 350 & Freddie sums it up perfectly,if your into breaking the speed & sound barrier then don’t get a Royal Enfield there not designed for you! If you want a chilled out ride & a permanent smile on your face then visit a RE dealership & test one out! As always Freddie & Monica great video👍🏻😎
You're so right about the Classic 350 and how it makes you feel, Freddie. I rented it for a short trip a couple of months ago, leaving my fast but uncomfortable Continental GT 650 at home. The Classic tops out at 120kmph, but as soon as I got over the 'how performant is my machine?' question that nags many a rider, I discovered what an absolute joy it is to trundle along on this beautiful bike, without a care in the world. It lets you leave your thoughts behind and enjoy the moment, take in the sights, and appreciate being out on the open road. Hope you and Monika have a wonderful time in Spain!
another great video! You get the closest to describing the feeling of the Classic 350 of anyone I've seen on RUclips - I have the Bronze & Chrome one and I love it to bits. Until you ride one, you don't understand... Keep the wonderful content coming!
Absolutely love this bike and absolutely love your reviews! Best bike reviewer on RUclips! Keep up the good work and keep riding all the Royal Enfields!
I’ve had one for six months now and the Classic is indeed a classic! The CB250 was my very first bike back in the day and indeed a little workhorse; easiest bike to ride.
The Honda CB250 (234cc) was followed by the Honda CMX250 Rebel (1985 -2016) which I now ride every day after 70+ years of owning and riding motorcycles, both big and small, solo and sidecar! "Small" has now become beautiful, as my trusty 1996 Honda Rebel, baby cruiser, takes me around my local countryside every day, with a big smile on my face! I thought about purchasing the RE 350 Meteor a few years ago, but my Rebel weighing in at a mere @320lbs suits me much safer now, in my very advanced age!! Royal Enfield is doing a grand job With their range of motorcycles! A model to suit everyone, at an affordable price! Take care, all!.....😀...😀...!
I admire your enthusiasm and wish you many happy years of biking. One thing I will say is that you should always ride in what you are prepared to see smeared up the road if the unimaginable should happen. When working as a Motorcycle courier I had a experienced colleague who decided to leave his leathers off due to hot weather. The next time I saw him his arm was bandaged and in a sling after he had come off on an unexpected patch of gravel!
Can't agree more with you after I helped a family having an accident sliding with the motorcycle in India. I know that it's annoying in many circumstances but so much safer. I'm living in a country where it's common to ride the motorcycle in shorts etc but you don't want to see them after a little sliding.
I found the 650 engine a bit gutless in the Interceptor, but actually quite liked it in the Meteor. The step up in build quality and refinement over RE's previous bikes was also really impressive
Have a classic 350 signal edition, loving it. Great for cruising around the beach and errands. People always approach asking about the bike. Must haves are touring seats and mirrors, easy upgrades and reasonably priced.
Great video with the summertime vibes coming through, keep them coming Freddie and Monica! You are a good ambassador for Royal Enfield but it's a brand that thoroughly deserves it, only today out on the Interceptor I bumped into a guy on a Himalayan who had toured Turkey.. fascinating and at those prices, available to many more people these days.
So glad you share all these other aspects of the motorcycling experience. It's not all about the specs of the latest bikes... just a passionate person and his partner enjoying the ride in many different ways and places. Keep 'em coming Freddie! Love from India
Ohh Freddie & Monika, the classic 350 looks so cool in that colour scheme! It really needs a heel toe shifter to make it extra comfortable & easier to shift gears! Hopefully it has one fitted. It truly is a magical motorcycle! Enjoy Valencia & the oranges🤙
I’ve test ridden a couple of Meteors which do have the heel/toe shifter and found it to be a pita to use. I’d swap it out for a normal gear change if I got one, but I’m leaning more towards the Hunter at the moment which is lighter and has better handling. Freddie you should test ride a HNTR as it’s called in the U.K. for copyright reasons, you might find it blows you away even more than the Classic.
One year in, we all just love our Royal Enfield Classic 350's as much as day one. Simply the most fun in 50+ years of riding. I've had all sorts, and mostly sports bikes, but this one hits all the spots that make me indeed smile. I can just sit and stare at it all day. People who gripe about lack of power just don't seem to get it. I could buy any bike I want at this stage, and the one I have - only one - is the Royal Enfield Classic 350. If you haven't, take a test ride. I think you'll be hooked too! Cheers, and... Ride Safe 🙏🏼
Perfect Sunday viewing. Royal Enfield have hit pretty much every nail on the head in terms of what matters. Small is beautiful. Less is more. No wonder they are doing so well. Buy and keep for 3yrs, sell with minimal depreciation. Honda cb250 from the mid 80's. The nighthawk in America. Belly engine. Unbreakable. Super production. Thank you. Ride safe.
You really SHOULD be a Royal Enfield ambassador! It is partly due to your reviews on the Classic 350 that I just bought a Hunter 350, even over the excellent Classic and Meteor. I hope you'll have the chance to ride one someday.
Just found your channel and enjoying it! I bought my Super Meteor 5 weeks ago and absolutely love it, I think you will too! The engine has been mapped for cruising and the gearbox is a joy.
Once again Freddie and Monika, thanks for the video and another Classic 350 review. I am, as many others are, falling in love with it and have decided that it is the bike that ticks all the boxes for me. I am going to make it happen asap. Cheers guys and stay safe, Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Life looks so good there. The bikes and landscapes are very nice. ,, your reviews are very informative and entertaining. Thank you for the informations.
I have one of these, same colour as well. Totally agree with everything Freddie said about it. You get on it and start off hearing that single cylinder noise, you do not want to rush. The perfect bike to explore the back roads, and no vibration due to a balancing shaft. A motorcycling tranquillizer.
Hi freddie, great video as per usual! I own a "99 Honda CB250. Amazing work horse of a bike, hasn't skipped a beat, cheap to run, guaranteed to start every time, even has a choke for those cold mornings, no modification with original stickers and even still has the toolkit it came with. I bought it off a retired honda motorcycle mechanic who revives bikes in his free time. Mine had been left at the dealership for years by a local farmer who never picked it up. Only 26 000kms on it when i picked it up. Little bit of TLC, lick of paint by the mechanic and happily became my first bike! Cheers, Dom
The Hunter 350 will be my first bike ever! Hopefully I'll able to buy it next week and I absolutely cannot wait. Nice to see it pop up on your channel!
Just to let you know Freddie, I bought a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in July of 2023 after watching your review of the bike. I was so confused between the Hunter 350 and the Meteor 350. But after your review I went for the Meteor 350. Keep up the good work.
Fully agree. I have a Classic 350 in Bronze/Chrome, on which I've covered 3600 miles from new last year. Been camping on it, lots of local trips and a few longer ones. Happy at 60mph, wonderful at 50/55, 100mpg even loaded for camping, and such charm! Always gets a smile. Royal Enfield have nailed it yet again. There's rumours coming out of India about a Classic 650, that could be very special too.
Great episode once again Freddie and Monica, there must definitely be something good about these Bikes because you rarely hear many negatives and the Ole Man is raving about his as well. I currently have an Interceptor but the more I see and hear about the classic 350 the more it pulls at the heart, although the Interceptor is a great machine I'm finding that I don't ride it as often as I would like due to the weight and getting it out of the garage 😪.
Grrreat diary Freddie and i agree with you completely on the classic 350. Royal Enfield nailed it once again and left the other manufacturers wondering where they are going wrong. Power, noise and heavy isn't always best. I have a Classic 500 and it's about smiles per mile.
Valencia: incredible sunlight perfect for filming. RE Classic 350: best classic mid size bike. Freddie Dobbs: biggest RE fan in the world. I love your videos, Freddie.
❤ from india ,have 2003 model royal Enfield standard( left brake),2019 (model abs carburator) Royal Enfield standard, i just want to say you can maintain these bike by yourself and parts cost and availability is so manageable.Cheers Freddie 😉
Your comment about wanting to spend money when you walk in a Royal Enfield Dealer made me chuckle. After a horrendous engine light/limp mode experience with a Vitpilen 701 where the dealers just shrugged and put their hands up, I visited Cooperb motorcycles in Northants. Couldn’t have been more helpful and enthusiastic, ended up buying a 21 reg Red Continental GT with extras on the day. Absolutely love it and not breaking down every time I ride it! On side note, I’ve also bought the REC TTT1000 watch after seeing it on your Lithuania travels. I notice you’re wearing yours with a difference strap, did you have a problem with the original? Really enjoy your channel, can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers……
You said it Freddie, "and it's slow, does it matter". Well, I didn't think so when I bought mine last year but sold it soon after realising I missed the grunt above 80km/h... It really does wear thin if you frequent any road above 100km/h 😕. Buy the Harley. Better to have some horses in the stable if and when the moment arrives (and oh man it does arrive😊).
You definitely deserve to be a global ambassador for Royal Enfield. I own the same model but not in red, I got the chrome bronze. It's so easy to fall in love with this bike. You know it ain't super fast, it doesn't have a lot of horse power, but yet it gives a magical riding experience where you truly appreciate the beauty of riding and not look at the speedometer to see how fast you can propel ahead!
I bought my 350 partly because of Freddie . I agree with you its the best bike ive had for years. Every time I take the cover off it to ride it to work I cant belive how beautiful it is and the sound is perfect. If it was twice the price id still want one lol
Hi man. Every single time you show us a 350 I think… I need one. It happened the same with the Himalayan (you didn’t say anything about the beauty white one you had in the shop) and now I have a second hand 2018 one which is is superb (and it was very cheap). And the Guzzi V7… Just love it. Enjoy Spain. If you want to check the west side… here we are. Cheers and congrats again for the channel.
I fully agree with you Freddie, the perfect bike is this one who gives you a smile every km you done, in my case since 3 year I own a Vespa 300Gts, 20000 km done and always a smile, looking to buy a bike…in a near future with the smile😊
The Classic 350 looks fantastic! The only competitor I can think about is the Benelli Imperiale 400 (in fact 374 cc, so very close). I have ridden the Benelli and it is really charming, try one if you have the chance. I prefer the looks of the Enfield, though.
Hi Freddie and of course Monika. Smiles per mile is a true statement, I picked up my Meteor 650 in celestial blue a week ago and it’s absolutely great and just makes me smile. I started looking for something nearer to the Bullet as it was the first bike I ever went on with my grandfather in the early 1960s and wanted something to just poodle around the Cotswolds on. After looking and trying the 350 range I’ve opted for the Meteor 650, you have to review it ASAP, but get ready for sore cheeks from all the smiling. Keep up the great work on the information and reviews.

Love that quote “smiles per miles”. It’s the most important thing! Love seeing your Valencia activities 😊
Thanks for that both ,Great start for a wet Sunday morning here in Wales
You are the reason I bought my Royal enfield 350 classic. I am in love as much as you!!❤❤❤❤
Fab video Freddie. Your enthusiasm really is quite contagious ! 😃😃
another great video!
That's a reasonable thing to say, although it's the individuals choice. I'm certain he's self-aware and knows the risks.
@@ashleyreynolds6604 I am glad you agree with me!
Red and silver 350 is beautiful.🦋
I found the 650 engine a bit gutless in the Interceptor, but actually quite liked it in the Meteor. The step up in build quality and refinement over RE's previous bikes was also really impressive
Loving the videos 📹 ,when u going to by Monica a scooter then😊
If Monika gets her CBT, then I won’t be able ti refuse!🙋🏻♀️🛵
I've bought my RE Classic 350 6 years back, have ridden it around 50,000 Kilometers and the engine is still perfect.
I seriously enjoy watching your videos so much. You really like what you do. Mad respect.
Ive got both a Super meteor 650 and a Classic 350 ...you'll be happy with either Freddie, they are both INCREDIBLE bikes!! 👍
Why not doing the maintenance on your Harley? Buy a maintenance book ,it's not complex at all,it's fun and you save on costs.
Have a classic 350 signal edition, loving it. Great for cruising around the beach and errands. People always approach asking about the bike. Must haves are touring seats and mirrors, easy upgrades and reasonably priced.
Nice to see my own feelings about this bike echoed so well. I will never get rid of mine.
Luv your enthusiasm Freddie! 😊! Can see you totally 💯 loving it!!!!
Love you from India chennai. Royal Enfield forever love.
Absolutely love your passion for motorcycles.
I purchased an Interceptor in 2022. Puts a smile on my face evertime.
So glad you share all these other aspects of the motorcycling experience. It's not all about the specs of the latest bikes... just a passionate person and his partner enjoying the ride in many different ways and places. Keep 'em coming Freddie! Love from India
You’ve done it again. I bought a Moto guzzi v7 stone because of you and now I want a little RE, I prefer the hunter or scram. Great video 👍🏼👍🏼
I do like a heel/toe shifter. I’m quite curious if this is an option
@@FreddieDobbs unfortunately not. Hitchcock sells them from India… 😉
@@sergentcolon1 heel toe shifter on a feet forward motorcycle can be uncomfortable. It just works on the Classic.
Sure look forward to seeing you ride the RE 650 Meteor! Love the RE Classic 350! Great video!
Great to watch Freddie. Great footage Monica.
First class as always Freddie
Hi Freddie, I was excited to see that you had a new video on this. Great job as always. Cheers!
You look the look, talk the talk and can walk the walk. Keep at it, God Bless you. I am also a proud RE Owner!
The way you talk seems like you are very passionate about your job. Keep doing great
I have one of these, same colour as well. Totally agree with everything Freddie said about it. You get on it and start off hearing that single cylinder noise, you do not want to rush. The perfect bike to explore the back roads, and no vibration due to a balancing shaft. A motorcycling tranquillizer.
your videos are getting so informative and really hit the mark... keep up the great work you 2
Hi freddie, great video as per usual!
Cheers,
Dom
The Hunter 350 will be my first bike ever!
Hopefully I'll able to buy it next week and I absolutely cannot wait.
Nice to see it pop up on your channel!
Just to let you know Freddie, I bought a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in July of 2023 after watching your review of the bike. I was so confused between the Hunter 350 and the Meteor 350. But after your review I went for the Meteor 350. Keep up the good work.
Hi Freddie, watching from Brisbane Australia, that RE Classic 350 looks fabulous. Whether riding it or its parked in front of a cafe.
A really nice video, Freddie & Monika. Thanks. Every good feeling, all in one.😂😂😂❤
Why does this guy look like the "Vision" ...👍👍👍
👍👍👍To Freddie and his Royal Enfield. Instantly converted me to a RE Man.
And I am absolutely thankful for that.❤
I had my Classic 350 stolen from work a few days ago. It's sad to watch this as I loved the bike so much
OMG amazing bikes and fresh coffee!! add a dose of sunlight and some summer warmth. Heaven on You-Tube - love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bike is an absolute beautiful head turner. Truly RE is doing some proper good stuff.
This is brilliant to hear. It’s the beauty and style of old school biking in a liveable, modern package❤️👌🏻
What a lovely dealership. I like that Interceptor with lots of chrome.
Love to watch you geek out on bikes my friend!
Brilliant video, and great to see how much you love the RE. That's definitely my next bike!
Yeah, so he's going to get the Super meteor 650 😂
@@kevindarkstar 😊
Very interesting ex-owner’s insight. Thank you for this!🙌🏻
Well done Freddie and Monika, another great video.
just did a 1000 km trip with it italy-germany in autobahn the classic its still totally fine
I’m so glad to hear this- I’ve heard of plenty of riders crossing Europe on them and they all say the Classic 350 does it with ease🙂👌🏻
RE is like meditation/Yoga. You will be addicted.
Cheers and congrats again for the channel.
monika is spot on. freddie should definitely be the ambassador for royal enfield.
I fully agree with you Freddie, the perfect bike is this one who gives you a smile every km you done, in my case since 3 year I own a Vespa 300Gts, 20000 km done and always a smile, looking to buy a bike…in a near future with the smile😊
Great video Freddie . . . Great channel
The Classic 350 looks fantastic! The only competitor I can think about is the Benelli Imperiale 400 (in fact 374 cc, so very close). I have ridden the Benelli and it is really charming, try one if you have the chance. I prefer the looks of the Enfield, though.
Very interesting- I’ll try and borrow a Benelli🙂👌🏻
Hi Freddie and of course Monika.
Smiles per mile is a true statement, I picked up my Meteor 650 in celestial blue a week ago and it’s absolutely great and just makes me smile.
I started looking for something nearer to the Bullet as it was the first bike I ever went on with my grandfather in the early 1960s and wanted something to just poodle around the Cotswolds on.
After looking and trying the 350 range I’ve opted for the Meteor 650, you have to review it ASAP, but get ready for sore cheeks from all the smiling.
Keep up the great work on the information and reviews.
Had my Hunter since December. I love it. The Classic was a close second. 👍
Great to see that old CB250, had one just like it in the nineties. Great bike.
