Freddie, you inspired me to do my first ever (I’m 63) ‘mini’ (1 day) bike ‘tour’ around Snowdonia today, on my Triumph Speedmaster 1200 (2018). I loved every minute. Sitting ‘on’ a bike offers much better views than ‘in’ a car. I even liked the average speed cameras as they meant I was much less likely to get blasted by a ‘crotch rocket’. Keep up the good work as you are making people’s lives better, not ‘just’ making (excellently crafted) videos.

Fuck the schools and Hospitals they dont need the cash but we do to pay our wages its a total joke it honestly is.. That was Criccieth Castle you saw in the background on the beach. You should have gone there (if time permitted). As a holiday treat we would go there for fish and chips and home made Cadwaladers ice cream! Not sure if they’re still there? They used to camp at a site by the cliffs. North Wales is a great area for biking. My wife and I try to shoot up from our base in the Forest of Dean at least twice a year. Beddgelert and the Lanberris pass on a rainy day is really worhwhile. So is Criccieth ( castle, superb chip shop, pebble beach) and Abersoch (upmarket and boaty) Keep up the great work!

I moved from southern england to north wales 20 years ago for all the reasons you mention. In good weather the ducati comes out, bad weather the himalayan hits the green lanes. Hiking good also. Honestly believe i am in biking nirvana. Still within good proximity of civilisation and manchester airport. My brother recently moved from Denver Colorado to Harlech as fell in love with the coastline and mountains and has just planted out a vineyard looking out to sea. If you are back in wales in 4 years time ill arrange a private tour. Perfect climate for grapes apparently. Cali moto app helps keep you away from busy roads and average speed camera zones. My business has offices in conwy, liverpool and chester but conwy has the nicest people / clients. Never had an issue with the welsh, most genuine lovely people. Enjoy rest of your time in gods country.

Have you thought about coming to Sudbury, about 40 minutes from Ipswich, we have TTT motorcycles, like a budget Krazy Horse, plus canoe trips down the Stour. You want about 3 hours to get down to the Henny Swan for lunch and get back to Sudbury. It's great fun and quite scenic. Probably make an interesting video. If you're on the bike, a trip to the Lamarsh Red Lion would be very picturesque aswel. Really enjoying your videos. All the best, Rob and Julia.😊

Incredible video as always Freddie. I've been to Wales in july and I feel so dumb that I didn't know about that beach. Such a shame that UK/Europe is so strict on these kinds of stuff, same goes for off-roading. It doesn't really seem to be the case in places such as Canada, US or Australia, however I just base that on the videos I watch on RUclips ^^

It seems ridiculous to use the ‘H&S’ excuse. Whose health & safety? Riding there on a motorbike could jeopardise your H&S. Surely it’s for the individual to decide. If it’s down to antisocial riding, that should be said & policed - although car drivers can be antisocial too. Annoying nanny-state attitudes.

After this comment I will shut up.. But at 7 years old I learnt to drive on those sands in my Dads Austin A10 I am now 70 OH MY GOD 70 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But in those days you were lucky to see more than 15 cars on the beach at anyone given time. How times have changed.. Having said that it looks like there were not many cars on the day you were there ??Probably something to do with folk being fed up of the regs in Wales ??????????????????????PleasePlease return and take time to review the land in its full glory its worth everyminute of your time trust me !!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic video Freddie & Monika - you mention the Elan Valley (ee-lan) a favourite spot of mine where my great-nan grew up. Wales is fantastic for riding, and Elan is certainly my favourite place for it. The road from Aberystwyth to Elan via Devil's bridge is definitely worth checking out, and if you're ever out that way, the Irfon valley and devil's staircase is a beautiful ride.

I love this area of Wales Freddie and although your probably too busy to go there now a ride to Shell Island along the causeway is well worth the journey. Its near Llanbedr between Barmouth and Harlech. When the tide comes in its cut of from the main land hence being called an island.

Wales would definitely be my choice had l not decided to live in España...Wales is a wonderful country to tour and explore ...l have to say though, weather is the largest reason l would not return to UK. The thought of a freezing cold damp environment is just too awful to contemplate after twenty years living in the Sun....Enjoy your trip, l enjoy watching your journey

Blackrock sands , our favorite beach, we're there in two weeks for a long weekend for our wedding anniversary, and going on our bikes, love the place, must say it hasn't always been like that you used to be able to ride on the beach, we've been going there for over thirty years, if you go in the winter months it's quiet and you can ride on the beach.
You could be cheeky and go back in the evening when he's gone but ride respectfully, as no doubt you would! 😉

These are two places you must visit. I'd be happy to guide you around Elan valley and the Pembrokeshire coasts.

I suspect bikes are banned because idiots have been racing up and down on the beach endangering families. That castle is Criccieth Castle, by the way. You should have stopped by the Ffestiniog Railway when you were having a coffee in Porthmadog - a delightful little railway.

    West coast is great .
    Most telling thing ?
When you looked outside the cafe and couldn't say what the other bike was.
Enfields? As obvious and unique as Harleys.
    But with bigger sales.
Off myself tomorrow for a short 3 day trip to test my load out and new tent before next years long tour.......on?
Yup a 350 classic Red and Chrome .
"But you can't tour on small bikes they are too slow"
Shout the big bore bike riders.
Yea . sure what ever you say. Bye.
    Always makes me laugh .
    Happy riding

Hi Freddie. I agree with you it's a beautiful area. Odd that you mentioned it being like Australia, there's a pub in town called The Australia!
The beach you may be thinking of for motorcycles maybe Pendine Sands beach on the South coast, where they have beach racing.
Did you ride across Barmouth bridge?
